Aubrey shook her head slightly and turned in a slow circle, "I live in an appartment complex on the other side of the park... Green Springs" she clarified looking up at Remarque.

"What kind of short cut?" She questioned, after having taken this path several times before she thought that she knew the most direct path home, but after being chased and Remarque sprinting off into another direction she might have a difficult time locating the right way home...

Unless she climbed a tree to try and find out where she was, but in her current state, tree climbing might not be the best idea ever. Especially if Remarque knew the way out. Aubrey could swallow her pride so that she could get home quickly and in one piece.

Aubrey clung to Remarque as a peculiar sensation came over her while he walked through the trees, when they had suddenly emerged in a well lit area she looked around in confusion.

"How did you do that?" she asked shocked at the distance they must have covered, though by his former dodging of her questions she doubted he would answer her.

Looking around she familiarized herself with the area and then realized where she was. "Yes I can make it home from her... Thanks for your help..." She said quietly glancing up at him shyly for a moment before ducking her head and veiled her eyes behind her bangs.

Aubrey nodded and said her thanks again before making her way towards her apartment. She needed to shower and take care of her wounds, she didn't need anything infected and though she would be sore in the morning she escaped any bad injuries.

She made sure to be alert of her surroundings as she walked home and made it to the front door without any mishaps. With a sigh she went inside, took care of herself, and then went to bed, her nightmares reliving the scene, except Remarque wasn't there to save her and she watched all kinds of wonderful ways for her to die.
