I do, actually - Junko's enthusiasm made Riley pause, and she watched the ghoul jump up and head off. She wasn't sure exactly what had given her the spur of the moment urge to get moving, but she didn't stop her. She just gave a soft, hesitant wave, and then turned to Jericho.
We'll have to walk. I don't have a mode of transportation at the moment other than my wings, and I don't know that I trust your safety to them for longer flights just yet. But if you tire, I will carry you easily. She settled him down onto the floor, and held out her hand. All right?

"Goodbye Miss Junko! It was nice seeing you!" Jericho waved before looking towards Riley.
"Walking is fine with me. I can keep up! I promise!" he said in a chipper manner, "Just lead the way!"

And so, Riley led Jericho to the maul.
It was a decent walk, lasting approximately 15 minutes, until they arrived. She spent that time regaling him with what few stories she had of them. Malodore was spoken of quite frequently as well. She was telling Jericho all about their first prom together, when they reached the doors to the maul. She held one open for him, allowing him to enter.
If anyone gave Jericho an odd look, they were met with an equally murderous one by her. She managed to keep too much gawking at bay, simply by being the threatening presence that turned peoples gazes away.
But for a moment, she focused on the Maul Map.
Up two flights of stairs. She murmured, her finger tapping a spot on the map. That is where the smaller clothing will be located. Baby Abyss was her best guess for clothing Jericho's size. She almost wished she could have asked Astra where /she/ shopped.

Jericho kept up pretty well for the time being, listening to the stories Riley had to tell him. They were interesting to say in the very least, and he was thinking that everything wasn't entirely fabricated. He was certain that she knew a different Jericho and was projecting that dragon onto him. She may still be grieving. In which he didn't say anything against what she said. He might not believe that it was really him who did these things with her, but he wasn't about to dash her dreams.
Christmas elves do not crush hopes and dreams.
"This place is pretty big. Almost like the shopping centers back in Christmas!"
It was a guess. He never been to the shopping centers in Christmas. But they had to be pretty big right?

And of course, she called him on it.
You actually recall what the shopping centers of Christmas Town look like? Her eyes flickered curiously to him, watching his expression. Do they have the variety of stores they have here, or is it a majority of toy stores and Christmas decorations? Do they always play Christmas music? Does it always smell like Gingerbread cookies?
Her eyes glittered with mirth. She might have been teasing him, just a bit.

Busted.
"W-well... I'm just guessing! I mean. People love to buy gifts for one another. There's more than just toys for that too you know! And well.. probably! Though the type of cookies probably depends on the day of the week. Yeah!"
Jericho put his hands on his hips and nodded at that.
He really didn't know what he was talking about though.

Riley couldn't help herself. She knew that there was a good chance the elf had no memories of Christmas Town, just as he had no memories of his past life. He was making it up as he went along.. and she was starting to enjoy making him sweat.
Oh. She murmured, heading for the escalator. That's quite interesting. I'm very curious about all the little details of Christmas Town. I suppose I'm in luck, having you here in my life now. She made sure he'd followed, before getting on the escalator. What types of cookies represent each day of the week? Does the Christmas Maul sell them, or give them out freely to shoppers? Does Santa make frequent appearances, or does he only come to call on Christmas? And what of the rest of the elves? When do you all have time to shop, when you're so busy making your toys?
Her eyes widened, and she mentally gasped. Jericho. What kinds of toys have you personally made?
Her eyes slit, just slightly, in victory.

Jericho furrowed his brow as she began to assault him with a bunch of questions regarding Christmastown.
"Oh. Uh. Um.. There's... Gingerbread, sugar, macaroon, snickerdoodle, and chocolate chip! Some small samples are handed out but larger orders will have to be bought! And uh... well. No. Not personally. He's a busy man you know. He uhh..."
The elf was thinking hard as he was trying to 'remember'.
"He has a lot of helpers! They dress up like him. Help make the rounds and stuff like that. And weee.... have weekends off! It's actually pretty relaxing until the final month. Then there's few breaks!"
He thought. He didn't sound completely certain of what he was saying. And when she asked what toys he had made, he rubbed the back of his neck in the way his original self would often do.
"I.... I like to make shiny toys! Things with metals.. and.. stuff."

He was trying. He was trying so terribly hard, and she knew that each and every thing he was saying was just being made up based on generic knowledge he'd been 'borne' with, but she couldn't help it. Her heart softened when she watched him try to defend his position so hard, and yet even his little quirks and movements reminded her of him. She knew, deep down, he was in there.
Just as, deep down, she was in her mind, too.
And as the thought filtered harmlessly through her head, she started to wonder if it was fair to want Jericho to regain his memory, when she could not regain hers. She wasn't the Riley they'd known before, and she never wanted that Riley to return. To ask this Jericho to return, would be to ask the elf in front of her.. to die.
Riley reached the end of the escalator, and scooped Jericho up into her arms, holding him tight against her body.
I'm sorry. She whispered. I believe you. You are the best elf ever.

The elf thought that Riley might be trying to grill him some more, but it was more of the opposite. As she scooped him up and offered affection instead, he loosened up and smiled, snuggling into her hold for the time being.
"Thanks Riley. You're the best," he said.
Granted, the fact that he had been having trouble remembering what should be common knowledge was a little worrisome. He must have taken a harder hit to the head than he originally thought.

She chuckled at the compliment. I thank you. And then, pulling him away to look at him. You and I, we will make new memories together. She bounced him in her arms, and carried him over to the second escalator. We will start our lives anew, and forge forward without boundaries. There will be nothing to stop us from creating a future. You and I, Jericho. She paused, and gave him a wry smile. And Malodore, of course. It's a shame you haven't gotten more time with it, yet. We shall have to rectify that soon, I think.
And suddenly they were there, in front of the Baby Abyss. The mirrors were filled with ghastly little ghouls and boils wearing the latest trends in gothic attire. She took one look at it, and then Jericho..
..and took him inside, anyway.

"I would like that."
Jericho was smiling at the thought. He knew that he may never really get his memories back, but that just meant he needed to make ones. Hopefully they would be good. But seeing the way things were going no, he was certain that it would be alright.
When they reached the store that Riley was leading them too, he peered inside to see... an interesting style.
"..Here?"
Yep. Here.

Yes. She nodded. Here. This may not be your style, but until such time as your growth stops so that Junko can make you permanent clothing, you will have to suffice with the styles of my people. Don't worry, it is not permanent, and you will look handsome either way.
She settled him back down on the floor. Take a look around. Perhaps something will surprise you - they do stock a lot of red clothing, after all.
She'd already spotted a precious little number, a tiny black tuxedo suit. The kind you were buried in. Ahh, burying scarelings. Riley's eyes twinkled with fondness.

"Alright.."
It wasn't entirely his preference, but she did have a point there. At the rate he had been seemingly growing he wouldn't be able to fit what he currently wore for much longer. Even now was already stretching it.
"Red would be nice!" he nodded. He was rather fond of red. Moreso than green. Maybe they could find something that wouldn't be too bad. But again, it probably wouldn't really last too long.
"Hopefully it won't be too expensive. Wouldn't want to be wasteful."

Actually, She murmured quietly as she picked out the little suit. This store is remarkably underpriced. Normally, I would never shop at a generic, store brand like this. All of my clothes are designer. But this shop has very good prices, so it's perfectly all right if you grow out of whatever we buy you. In fact, I think I will buy you one or two outfits of each of three sizes. Your current size, and then the next two subsequent. That way, you can grow into them.
If he grew more past that.. they'd be looking at the pre-teen section instead.
She picked up a lovely little pair of black slacks, and a fluffy white shirt with a dramatic collar. Ah, I think you would look dashing in this. Do you see anything you'd like to try?
