Jack was never very good at fighting, but the fact that he was contributing well enough was kind of weird for him. He wasn't even starting to feel the fire as much anymore.
He just needed to get this out.

Tomoko nearly heaved, a raspy noise as she slowly got back up to her feet again and again attempted to sink her teeth into the professor. It was very..undignified, actually.

He watched her from the side of his vision, watching her as she went through some kind of a fog, scared and wild - like a true animal.
It was kind of comforting, knowing that he wasn't alone in his wild rush to exact revenge. His shadow wasn't getting any better, and that stressed him out.

Really Tomoko?
Yes Really. It would have been more surprising if Tomoko, even in a broken rage, had been able to continue any sort of an assault for a long period of time. Instead, she clutched her head and seemed to crumple up again, as if in pain (or being on fire. Or both..)

He was starting to tire.
Only a little though, a small pant starting break, the burns starting to agitate him a little, enough for him to notice the reddened skin, and ache his claws were crying from battle. But it was his ego that kept him going.

It was probably amusing to watch little kids get riled up and angry over something that should have been simple - but for Tomoko it wasn't. She was angry and she couldn't explain why. A tether she had.
So she just tried to chew Rengath's leg off instead, panting miserably.

Yep.
Definitively getting tired.
Looking to Tomoko, he raised his eyebrows lightly, asking her a secret question - do you still have the peppermints? - holding a piece up, before crunching down on it softly, sighing at the comforting feeling of regeneration. It was like a warmth running over him.

It might not have registered that Jack was making silent inquiries to her, but Tomoko did know that she had a piece of peppermint (she had a lot of peppermint candies, actually) and followed Jack's lead, crunching down on it.HP: 40/40 Damage: -- Rengath's HP: 27/60

It felt so much better to be back to regular, breathing a peppermint-ee breath, smelling the smoke and fire from the teacher. Looking down to her, he leaned in and muttered only one sentence, before jumping in again.

There was something adorable about her snipping around and just generally being an ankle biter. It was a vengeance that he had never seen in her.
He would never forget to brush his hair ever again.

She probably wouldn't bite Jack's ankles for not brushing his hair.
Because she was still flailing in and out of indecision about actually attacking Rengath, no matter how awful she felt physically.

Maybe the man had ankles of steel, and a body made of . . . more steel.
Trying to move to another part, feeling that he had beaten this senseless, he tried to find some place new to attack.
