I am currently reading James Patterson's 'Merry Christmas Alex Cross' from his Alex Cross series. I heart James Patterson. biggrin

i remember seeing those commercials! i think i read a few of the maximum ride books? the ones with the kids with wings?

Yeah, the Maximum Ride series is great. The only series of his I haven't actually read is Daniel X but only coz I'm not so interested in aliens. James Patterson's idea for the Maximum Ride series actually came from an idea of two of his previous novels 'When the Wind Blows' and 'The Lake House' which has another winged girl named Max in it. But the Max in 'When the Wind Blows' and 'The Lake House' and the Max in the 'Maximum Ride series are completely different.

I didn't think so, but "When the Wind Blows' and 'The Lake House' was written for more of an adult audience where Maximum Ride is aimed at children/young adults.

Some authors do write heaps fast though. Last year, James Patterson had 13 books released.

I know right. When I was still in high school, I'd sometimes struggle to find inspiration for short stories for school assignments in Advanced English and English Extension 1.
