If anything, Natai's smile became even more serene. She filtered anger through a mask of quiet peace, dark eyes once more calm on the upset goldrider. For the most part the mask stayed in place, although an eyebrow quirked up with the announcement of her being a 'foolish little girl' came in to play.
"She is just a dragon," Natai turned her back to Kindra in order to crouch by the tub full of bubbles and water and half-washed mud. Slim fingers clutched at the edges as she began to pour the water out, little by little. It hit the already saturated ground with a wet noise and Natai raised her voice slightly to be heard over it. "Her hide color has nothing to do with anything. 'Social' does not mean 'stupid', Kindra."
Disrespect? Perhaps a little. Natai dumped the rest of the water with a little face, her lips pursed in contemplation. Still, the goldrider did not stand and looked back in the direction of the other woman.
"And may I ask just how old you are? I am nineteen. I'm going to bet you're near the same unless you have some excellent face cream. Ah, Masterhealer--" Natai turned over the tub for him and stood, shaking water off her hands. "There you go. Iachixth?"
It's very nice. Her eyes went lighter shades of blues and greens, though yellow still tinted the edges from Natai's silent, hidden spike of panic at being stolen off What's the big big thing of water? it looks fun! Is it like a lake? I like lakes.
You've not seen a lake.
You have. Iachith whispered back.

Ooooooh that man... just when Kindra could just begin to perhaps respect him "Thank you Bereck" her tone icy towards the older man. "She is also going the largest color of Dragon, i'm sure it won't be long before she's dipping into those herdbeasts once too often.. or just turning around in a Hold dislodges something precious." she replied towards Natai in regards to Hide color. "And when she rises... is your Hold going to be able to support Bronzes from all over blooding kills here" she didn't know why she was trying to reason with this idiot girl She stepped back as the water sloshed about, she wasn't about to get her boots wet, especially if she were going Between later. "I didn't say she was stupid Natai but she is young and enthusiastic and you can't watch her every second. Of course it'll be easier to spot her as she gets older but that is besides the point." she snapped.
She clenched her jaw tightly again as Suunath rumbled low in her chest. "The difference between me and those beasts .. is i'm not here to harm you or Iachixth, the longer you stay here, the more you expose yourself to danger... Do not expect a warm welcome should ANYTHING happen to her because of your selfish need to stay here." she snapped, turning her heel and marching towards Suunath. "We're leaving.... NOW Suunath"
"That is the sea, it is much much much bigger than the lake, even i cannot see the other side even flying very high" She shared the image of the sea from high above too until her attention... and Iachixth's attention was drawn elsewhere. She passed the message along to Kindra from Berath, with a very much LESS polite tone than Berath had passed it along to her. "I will not apologise for her i have told her that myself Berath, thank you" she replied in an annoyed (but not at Berath) tone. She then sighed and curled a lip slightly We are returning to Trine, will you please let me know what YourHealer says about my hatchling Berath." Before keeping still while Kindra mounted, not bothering with helping her rider up. "Iachxith, i will come back again to come and see you, perhaps Mine will feel differently another time. It was a pleasure to meet you and Yours, she is taking very good care of you" she said with a minorly maternal tone.

Bereck returned the icy tone with a look of Disapproval; he had been honing it for the last forty seven years or so and as such it was a rather good one. "There is a solution to every problem," he replied curtly, "goodbye Kindra." Shaking his head the frail healer turned away and started to move towards the upturned tub, stride short and slow.
Berath promised faithfully, fully understanding Sunnath's need and resenting it less now that she had hatchlings of her own. Kindra might be a foolish little girl but her dragon it seemed had more maturity, maturity enough to give good advice herself and also not to lash out at somebody passing on something less than complimentary to her rider.

I like it! I would like it if we went to-- Iachixth cut herself off when the spike of fear and anger that laced through Natai. The small gold squealed and skirted in front of her, back arched, eyes yellow and red and everything in between, not enough to display her upset. They would not yell at Hers! The usually sweet little gold hissed - not to the approaching healer or her birth mother, but to the retreating Kindra. Were she a cat, she'd have puffed twice her size, all but trembling from where she pressed closer to Natai.
Even then, her mind voice answered Suunanth in a tone that was far from angry - just small and thin, frightened, upset. That would be fun, Suunanth-who-clutched-me. I hope she does. And she shrank back against Natai whose calm hands stroked her head ridges and neck with as much soothing love as she ould muster.
"She certainly isn't near to flying just yet," Natai called out after her. "And I shall keep it noted that Trine will not welcome us. It was a pleasure to meet you."
Iachixth did not call her out on her lie. Natai started to usher her towards the turned over tub to sit. Iachixth, keening quietly in her confusion and emotional turmoil, would not stop squirming until Natai crouched and pulled her to her chest.

"Iachixth, look at me now please." The tone of Bereck's voice retained its firm confidence but softened somewhat as he mentally changed gears, becoming something more than himself. He knew what a terribly pretentious thing to think that was and so he had never voiced the feeling to anyone but there it was; when he was Healer Bereck he felt like he was a better and larger creature than when he was just Bereck.
"Look at me- Good." He nodded slightly to the hatchling. If Kindra was still there he didn't notice her for he had duties to focus on, duties that consumed him. "You don't need to worry about anything, understood? You have your mother, Natai's brothers did she say too? They will make sure you're both safe, as will Berath and I. It's our job to look after people, and we do it well." Talking firmly and calmly often helped to calm frightened patients, and so even though he was not usually the most chatty when he worked unless muttering to yourself counted Bereck did his best to keep speaking. Leaning his cane against the side of the tub he reached out slowly and smoothly with open palms upturned to Iachixth. "May I touch your face? I need to feel your hide. While I do that can you close your innermost eyelids for me?"
