Oh gosh and then we can make the losing our marbles joke
And if we're doing room crossovers we can involve Chibi's room of old folks xD

Since we're in a garden, can't we somehow stuff in the fact that Rose and Rapunzel both have plant names? Maybe somehow roses and rapunzel plants soothe them and prevent them from going mad, or perhaps the other way around?

        LOLLL
"Mrs. Havisham, Sir Quixote! I'm losing my marbles! I'm losing the GAAMMMEEE!"
"it's okay deary. Our marbles are gone, too."

That sounds so cool. o uo
That should be at the end, though, because Rose is gonna tear the plants down if she saw them in the climax. "CURSED I SAY! CURRRSSEDDD!"

YES and Rapunzel could fall among the rapunzel leaves, contemplating life and its worth. At that moment of hopelessness, she would remember that she was born because of rapunzel, and she decides to... eat the rapunzel? Her logic is twisted (read: my logic is twisted).

Also I forgot that Rapunzel has magical tears that heal her prince's eyes. Maybe her tears could be an element of the potion Kez was talking about? Since they have all to do with sight.

        LOOOLL
I can probably imagine Griffin sneaking up on Rapunzel while she cries and tries to get some of those tears. xDD

But that sounds really good. Griffin would need to go crazy trying to figuring out which ingredients he would need and that could be the side plot while Rosie goes crazy. 8D

Plus, we could have a contest involving the potion.

Heck, you know what? Maybe roses and rapunzel are part of the potion.

I feel I should mention the random babble my brain's been playing over and over in my head and extrapolating on and its loveliness.

SO. CHESSIE.
His role in Alice in Wonderland is to explain that 'we're all mad here'.
However, his role in this logical world is to work to make that statement true once more.

So basically, I've been jotting down all the mental disorders I can think of and what provokes them to figure out what kind of character would go what kind of crazy, and for the general populace, how to freak them out. Like, induce hallucinations and stuff, and generally screw everyone over.

Chessie himself would gradually get darker, I think, because as he plays puppeteer, he'll run out of the safer tricks and start in on the more harmful ones. Also, all the games will have a set of rules that are broken by the game itself. Idk how. NOW. ALL YOU WONDERFUL LITTLE MIND MACHINES. DO MY THINKING FOR ME AND COME UP WITH DETAILS THAT WORK WITH MY CHESSIE.

A game with a set of rules broken by the game...?
Maybe he could restrict the game somehow to mind only, like maybe he could begin with psychological pressure, and the rules state that no one's allowed to harm anyone else physically. Then, someone mentally breaks down, has a nervous breakdown, and then he chops off their head to hide it. But after that, he chops off everyone's head?

Mental disorders:
Emotional disorder
Narcissism
Acute stress disorder
Bipolar disorder
Derealization disorder (when the real world looks less and less real)
Impulsive control disorder
Oneirophrenia (in which you don't get enough sleep and enter a hallucination, more or less)
Pain disorder

...oh hey, there's a wikipedia page

The setting would be perfect for Mr. Hyde. The garden if full of hiding places he could pop in and out of.

        Wow that list is long.

I suggest that Chessie ends up caving in with all the pressure of everyone "following" Rose and Rose is obviously looking up to him so he has a lot on his hands. Maybe/
And I'm making the Chesire Cat a sort of antagonist figure as we continue this, oh my. ><
I don't know about you, Sym, but I feel a little bad about that. xD

I kind of like that idea, with the Chesire Cat being pressured into fulfilling his expected role of the evil character, and under all the pressure becoming evil. Whooo, nuance!
Or maybe he's expected to be a good character, the mentor to Rose, and since everyone's expecting everything from him... I wouldn't see him caving in, since he's the Cheshire Cat. Maybe he'd just get frustrated of everyone depending on him, and, on a whim, decide to send everyone flying into madness.

Whether he's truly an antagonist, or just a victim of this society, the Chesire Cat is certainly turning out to be a central character. What about Rose? We need to develop her lots too! 4laugh

        I like them both! 8D
I think he would be more expected to be the good character, rather than the evil because it all starts out as a "innocent" room. I like him getting frustrated about being depended on and sending everyone flying, Rose especially. And besides, he's quite a mad character. 8D

Rose is definitely going to be the girl who's always happy and always ready to jump for anything. Like she's the girl you would expect has everything under control, but she's very prone to peer pressure and such. She always wants people to like her, a little too much than healthy. That's what I would assume makes Rose start going mad, because she's so intent on having everyone in the room look up to her, she forgets morals.

Decided to write up a basic synopsis of our plot so far.

Basically, there's a dark garden. Everything's fine and dandy until Chessie decides to mess with Rose and "chops" people's heads off with invisible sheets. Rose starts freaking out, so everyone goes to visit Griffin (who lives in a supply shed due to the fact that he doesn't really want anyone nosing into his stuff). He grudgingly agrees to help. Everyone goes around looking for ingredients for the potion to make stuff visible, while I guess Chessie tries to screw everything up???

Finally, the find all the ingredients, Griff uses it on himself to prove it works and becomes visible again. Then they go around putting the potion on the sheets. The end.

        Thanks, Kez.
        I would've got to this sooner, but I was a tad busy. > <

Let's really start plot planning now! <3

I wonder, what role should Rapunzel play in this... She could be super scared of this, of everything, since she's led a sheltered life since now and run around, getting into all sorts of trouble, which then leads to discovering something, or convincing Griffin to help...

Or, she could secretly turn out to be super level-headed and good at accepting all of this crazy stuff (thinking this is normal), and calmly... does things?

I like the first one. That way, Rosie sees this as a chance to "corrupt" more people. All this exposure to crazy madness would have an "OHMYGOSH WHAT'S HAPPENING?" effect on Rosie. So maybe Rapunzel could have that too?

I also picture Rapunzel as a calmer figure than Rosie, and maybe we could have Rapunzel be the one to calm everything down while Griffin works on the potion. And she could totally be the one to convince Griffin to find the potion, if that's okay with Kez.

        Maybe? What do you think?
PostPosted: Sat Feb 23, 2013 1:02 pm

I've been thinking.

Griffin could turn inanimate objects invisible (why he didn't turn any of his clothes invisible is beyond me). So, maybe it was him who turned the sheets invisible in the first place. Maybe it was even a way to get Chessie to leave him alone after Chessie was bothering him.

This sounds plausible, and rather funny in my mind.

"Go away or I'll turn you invisible."
*body goes invisible except for grin* "But I'm already invisible." (:
