He sort of stared at her as she told him to stop complimenting her, that sort of 'b***h u crazy or somethin'?' look. Akubi's ear gave a bit of a flick, "What can I say to you? I am not the sort individual to just fling about insults just to suit someone's low self-esteem. I suppose I could just not mention it," he said idly as he just settled into a bit of a laying down position, tucking all of his paws under himself.
Classic Catloaf.
The fact that she apologized was simply taken in and digested with, "S'alright," in a sort of strange almost comical tone as if he was trying to cheer her up. The cat-boil watched as she moved, his head craning to take in where she was off to next. There was a sort of sigh from him as he got up again and trotted over and hopped up onto the edge of her bed. In classic Akubi style he responded to her 'I'll be fine just leave me to myself' with a simple phrase, "Have you eaten yet?"

"Not mentioning it would be good." Riyo had shuffled out of her robe quietly after disappearing behind the translucent curtains on her bed, a sigh buried behind the thick cotton of her pillow. Really, she'd expected to hear the door open and close almost immediately after, but low and behold a chubby ball of fluff appeared at the edge of her bed.
Her tail swayed slowly over the bed as she shot him a glance, more of annoyance than anything at this point. "I finished a can of tuna earlier." Though she neglected to mention how much had been in there prior, which was a solid half. "What are you now, my mother?" Riyo tried not to think too deeply into the words she used as far as parents went. Best to pretend they just didn't exist anymore.

Akubi snorted a little, "I'll consider your request, Madam."
Meaning he'll probably 'forget' now and again and shoot her a random compliment as he saw fit. Simply because he now knew that it affected her on some level. A feline without confidence was barely a feline at all.
Akubi aimed to fix this.
The glare was just countered with his usual grins as he watched her, "Yes. And Mother says you need more than just a can of tuna. Come, I have a dinner."

Consider it? He'd better do more than consider.
Rolling her eyes, the ghoul looked the other way and wrapped herself up in a sheet. "Make me." If they were going to play it that way, she was going to be as difficult as possible.

There was a pause as she said 'make me'.
He popped into his humanoid form with a bit of a crack of bone and a grunt.
"Alright then. You brought it upon yourself." He announced solemnly, but he was grinning.
He gathered up what he could of her blankets and sheets, got up and made a run for the door.

The bone cracking made Riyo's ears stand straight up, head snapping his direction just in time to see the boil taking away all of her warm, comfortable blankets. "Excuse me? EXCUSE ME?" She yelled frantically, hopping to her feet.
"NO!" The feline shouted as she stomped over to pop her head out of the door. "I JUST washed those! They don't need to have your scent on them!" Grumbling, the ghoul scuttled over and grabbed her robe before she dared head out into the hall. "Do you know how expensive sheets like that are? I swear to Jack if you rip those I'll make sheets out of your skin."
What a wonderful friendship.

"Keeeehehehehekeheheke," Akubi laughed in playful response. "MY SCENT ALL OVER YOUR BLANKETSSSS FOREVERRRR," he shouted back at her. "YOU WILL WASH AND WASH AND THEY WILL SMELL LIKE MEEEEEEEE."
Not really, but she brought this on herself.
She threatened to make sheets out of his skin and his now dilated pupils stared back at her, "I DON'T THINK THAT'LL WORK," and then he ducked into his room and slammed the door shut without locking it, thankfully.
More than likely he slammed the door in Riyo's face.
Best friendship ever.

"NO! YOU SON OF A b***h!" Riyo screeched like a banshee. Jack help any of the other demons trying to sleep.
And.. There might've totally been a 'thud' when Akubi slammed the door.
"Ssssssssssssssssshit!" A few moments of silence before the door slowly opened. Looked like it clocked her right on the nose. Small trickles of blood leaked out of her nostrils, but that was sort of secondary compared to the death glare she was giving him.
"I think your plump cat form would make a nice pillowcase, at the very least."

"And it will still smell like me." He said contently. Akubi seemed very much unafraid of the demoness now in his room. The boil was now idly folding the sheets like he'd seen his Auntie do countless times.
Akubi looked so pleased with himself.
He glanced over at her, "..Hmm. I have tissues for your nose, I think."

Somebody probably needed to unscrew the cork and relieve some of the pressure that was building up in the ghoul's head. Akubi's joy at her rage just seemed to make everything worse.
"No need." The demoness seethed, barging into his room and marching straight up to the boil. While he was folding, Riyo bent over and grabbed his sleeve to use that instead.

Akubi stared down at part of his sleeve that she was using and then looked up at her face and he only smiled, "Getting so close to me in this form! That is so wonderful to see you advancing despite your phobia!"
He sounded legitimately proud.

... What...
... WHAT?
Riyo looked up slowly from what she was doing, No longer looking angry, but completely shocked. "I-I'm not afraid of men!" She quickly dropped his sleeve and put at least a foot or two between them. "And what? The fact that I just put blood on your sleeve doesn't bother you at all?" She'd certainly be pissed if someone did that to her.

"You're afraid of something. Otherwise you wouldn't look so freaked each time I come close to you when like this," he said simply as he resumed folding the sheets he had stolen, so he could return them to her more easily.
The mention of blood on his sleeve made Akubi sort of stare down at the darkened red splotch on his sleeve and he shrugged, "Clothes are clothes. Bodily fluids do not bother me much."

Riyo glanced away quietly and folded her arms. "I'm not afraid..." The feline mumbled, tail twitching behind her in agitation.
"I swear, getting mad at you is like getting mad at a piece of furniture or a block of wood." It was pointless, because nothing she did would make him feel the same way. Good grief.
She supposed having to be around him at all was a lesson of patience and tolerance in and of itself. There was nowhere for her anger to go. It was either she stayed mad or she just... Stopped being angry.
How did she just stop being angry? Well, that was a lesson she had yet to learn. "So. You got me here. You gonna feed me?"

"Then what is it if it is not fear?" Akubi asked back at her. It seemed that he wasn't going to let it go for at least a little longer.
Akubi finished folding everything, albeit a bit messily. He set it aside and shrugged his shoulder, "Maybe you are just too tightly wound. I hear there are various things that help with that. Like sex." He just said it matter-of-factly.
After he dropped that bomb he wandered over to his kitchen to get Riyo a plate of food, "Oh just some salmon I prepared earlier. Do you like salmon?"
