A lot of dangerous things happen around here and I would rather not let myself be taken out because I was too weak to do anything of it," Shun said with a frown, "These things won't be stopping in the future either."There was also the matter of the family business, but that wasn't something that he was about to bring up here. "What of you?"The Reaper figured he should toss the question back at him while he was still here. He wasn't sure what else to say. After all, he wasn't really much of a conversationalist, especially with those he was unfamiliar with.

His wings twitch in response before finally nodding at this. "I... yessss actually when I firssst arrived here I had to fight a large... sssstrange ssshadow. I did not expect that... " Zephyros eyes look over the reaper and then he frowns. "How much fighting have you done ssssince you were here? "
He stretches out his back before looking back at his tail. "I... was ssssent here becausssse of a disssapointed father. I am too violent for my family. " His tail angrily flicks against a tree, purple eyes narrowing once more at the memory. "He ssssaid I didn't even look of my kind. That I wassssn't meant to be part of them. Sssso he ssssent me here. I am meant to sssstudy and sssstay. Perhapssss never to return, or do so when I can ssssstop biting. " Once he mentions this bad habit of his, he immediately begins to nibble on his left wing. On closer inspection, it looks to have a little bit less of feathers than the right wing..

"There's far more than shadows to be fought around here," Shun muttered under his breath before shaking his head, "A lot. If you ask me how many battles, I can't answer. It isn't just sparring either."Listening to Zephyros's tale, he simply nodded lightly in response initially. A disappointed father. He was familiar with that much. But the reasoning was different still. There was no surprise there. Disappointment can come from just about anything. "... Biting?"

He looks as if he wanted to say something else in response, but he shakes his head. "I'm sssure I'll be finding out about the battlesss sssoon enough. Unfortunately ssso. "
His large teeth chew down on his own wing continuously. Even though it's himself, he doesn't feel too much pain, or at least shows that he's in pain. "Yesss. Biting... I tend to bite almossst everthing.. ... Sssorry in advance if I bite you."

The Reaper eyed Zephyros critically at that. He gauged the distance between himself and the Quetzal, and determined that he was still within the winged serpent's strike range if he really wanted to lash out at him. While he didn't take a step back to get out of said range, he did keep this in mind. "Is there anything that provokes such biting or do you just do it?" he asked with a raised brow. It was good to have more information on this. He would rather not be hugged or bitten today if he could help it.

He releases his wing from the biting, licking the blood off the wound he had given himself and speaks nonchalantly. "It happenssss for no reasssson. Or if I am utterly annoyed. " Stares at Shun now as he stops with the habit of his now. "Doessssn't everyone have a habit like that? You sssseeem unnerved. I will try not to bite you. You did nothing to me. "
Now that he thinks of it, this form of his is probably unnerving to the Reaper. "... Sssshould I switch to a less threatening form? "

"Good. I would have to retaliate if you did something like that," he murmured. The quetzal probably wouldn't enjoy taking a dagger to the face either he would assume. "If you wish to change to your student form, you're free to. Your form itself doesn't intimidate me."Shun has dealt with a number of monsters with various grand and somewhat imposing true forms.

With a quickly nod he's glad that he's not in the mood to bite another person. Seeing as hi new acquaintance has admitted to fighting a lot. Actually that itself is unnerving, he wouldn't want to get into a fight with this man, even in his original form. His wings twitch in response before he tries to smile, but it looks more like a grimace instead.
"Then I will not change. It isss not everyday that I get to stay thisss way. I dissslike that form. No offensssse to you. "
It's true though, he hated the way the forms had no way to fly. Or at least his didn't, his wings become appendages, and there are not nearly enough feathers for him to fly. And those leg things are really awkward to walk in. He preferred slithering than walking any way. Or flying instead. Either, but walking, no.

"None taken."Shun personally wouldn't want another form than how he already was. He had been turned into this or that from various things and it just didn't feel right for him. He supposed it was a similar sensation for the quetzalcoatl. Quite frankly, he wouldn't be surprised if there were many students who felt more comfortable in their natural states. Looking over the serpent, he could also see why that may be. It had to be jarring to have legs and arms all of the sudden. It was always a little bit of a wonder to him how such creatures adjusted to having to walk on legs upon taking their humanoid forms.

The Quetzalcoatl begins to spread his wings out as the snow above stops falling, his eyes glance up before he slithers a little out of the shade of the tree. "I am ssssorry, for hogging the tree. I am not a warm blooded creature, so I become pretty cold... I am alsssso sorry for earlier. But thank you for the chatter. It wassss nice sssspeaking to someone for once. "
His head bows lightly as he looks around and then back at the reaper. "Perhapsss we should speak another day. I sssstill have much to learn, but you have sssshowed me a couple of thingsss about thisss place that I did not know before. " His mouth finally upturns into a grin. "Maybe one day we may battle? I am no chance againsssst you, but it would be interessssting. "

"You may be better of going inside if that's the case. It doesn't seem like it'll be warming up here too soon," Shun noted before raising an eyebrow as Zephyros tossed up an offer for the two of them to spar. "I'm available whenever for a fight. Just be warned that I won't be going easy on you just because you're a first year student."It wouldn't give himself too much more battle experience fighting like that, but if anything, it should help the monster more. There would be times where he'd have to fight those more powerful in the future after all.

His wings shudder and begin to puff as he lets out a small hiss. The frost of the snow beginning to freeze the feathers. His snout moves to nudge some ice crystal off his wings before sighing with a nod. "I will retire to my dorm room now-- However I want to thank you for this bounce of dialoguesss between usss. And for informing me of this ssschool sssome bit. I do not mind if you don't go easssy when we do fight, but for now I will take my leave ssso I may not lossse mobility of my wingsss."
His large snake like body seems to bow at Shun before he blinks his purple eyes. With a smile, his tongue slithers out in a last hiss of a farewell and Zephyros slithers quite bit away so that he may fly back. " I hope to ssspeak with you once more, one day. " Blade Kuroda Sorry for the wait! And this isn't too short to end the rp in is it? I feel like this is a good ending, but I'm not sure...

Nodding quietly, Shun watched as Zephyros slithered on away to try and find someplace warmer. This sort of weather certainly had to be rough on some not acclimated to it for certain. He couldn't really imagine how the cold blooded students were fairing. Eh. Oh well. Shrugging to himself, he just went on his way as well. Eranas This is fine! Rp's don't need to be epic length (unless you want it to be/it lasts that long). XD If you're looking for rp points, you just need 800 words in a single rp for it to count.
