Brise tilted his head and gave a small chuckle as he pulled away from her. "Come. It will wear off as we run." he said warmly, motioning for her to follow him as he started off with a trot.

"If you say so." Reiko trotted after him, playfully nipping at his mane. She'd always felt special around Brise, able to express herself freely and genuinely around him. The parts of herself that she couldn't show her family were not only shown but accepted and adored. The doubts about her appearance, her voice, her personality--they were all washed away effortlessly by her first friend--her first and hopefully only love. "Won't your family get worried about you?" she inquired, glancing over at Brise. His family was just as big as hers, but they were more concentrated in one area from the sound of it. Hers was spread out and her father expected them to wander off on their own. Reiko didn't want to make Brise's family worry about him...

Brise stopped in his tracks and looked back towards his home. He really didn't want to go back, knowing that if he did, and if he took Reiko with him, he'd have to share her and his parents may not let him leave again. "It'll be fine, Rei. I'll send word back to let them know I am okay." He smiled warmly, nipping back at her mane

"If you're sure." Reiko giggled at his nipping and nudged him playfully before taking off. "Betcha can't catch me!" she called over her shoulder, her purple and tan mane whipping through the air behind her.

Brise grinned at the little she-devil he had managed to barely snare as he ran after her, her tail flicking in his face when he got close.'You can't run forever Reiko!" he challenged playfully, nipping at her hind end when he could manage to get closer.

"I don't have to run forever," Reiko retorted. "I just have to run longer than you can keep up!" She let out a squeak of surprise when she was nipped. "H-hey!" She shot a look back at Brise, though she wasn't able to keep a smile off her face for very long. "You're gonna pay for that later," she threatened in the same playful manner that he'd challenged her.

Brise grinned wider and stepped up the pace and continued to chase after her. "Oh yeah?! Whatcha-!!" His sentence was broken as he stumbled and faceplanted into the ground beneath him, flipping over onto his back with a loud THUD. "oh... ow..." He grunted out as he tried to regain his breath.

Reiko blinked and quickly turned around, slowing as she approached the fallen stallion. "You ok, tough guy?" Despite her teasing tone, she was worried about him. She nudged Brise gently and inspected him for any obvious injury. There were a few scrapes, but it didn't look too bad...

Brise grinned and leaned up, settling a well placed kiss upon Reiko's cheek. "Yes, dear one. I am fine." He said softly as he rolled back onto his hooves and stood up, shaking all the dust and grass off of his coat.

Reiko smiled at his kiss, placing one of her own on his nose. "You got clumsier over the winter," she remarked as she circled him and helped clean off the dust and grass.

Brise chuckled. "No, my hooves just got bigger. Thats all." His eyes twinkled merrily at the female as he started towards her, getting as close as he dared so he may look into her eyes. "Reiko, you are the most beautiful creature to have ever graced these lands. Even as a filly, you had my heart, and I want you to have it until the day I am called above."

Reiko blushed at his compliment, smiling at the words that followed. "I'm glad," she replied as she gazed up into those sparkling golden eyes. "Because I don't plan on letting it go." She stepped closer, leaning against him. "Be careful not to drop mine, alright? You're stuck with it for life."

Brise smiled. "I would never do such a thing." He said softly as he rubbed his head along her neck in a loving caress.

"Good. If you did, I'd have to hurt you," Reiko grumbled, a happy shiver giving away her good mood. She let her eyes slide closed as she relaxed against her love with a sigh. Meeting Brise was the best thing that had ever happened to her. When she was around him, she could be herself. Nuzzling her head against him, she softly informed him, "This is the second happiest day of my life."

Brise frowned and stepped back. "The second?" He acted hurt, as if he couldn't believe something better than hm had happened to her.
