"Ah, That's very nice of them. Is it unusual for Neko's to travel between houses" He asked with genuine curiosity. He had assumed there where quite a few neko's who where homeless. He was glad he was able to find shelter here in the temple, he might end up staying here longer than just the night. Well if he doesn't get tossed out that is.
"It was nice, the woman who cared for me doted on my when I was little." He replied a bit of sadness evident in his voice. "But then she freaked out about my second tail and kicked me out, I've been wandering around since then."He finished in a mater of fact way. The young fox like Neko quickly finished cleaning his tail and started to make sure the rest of his fur was in the right place.

Zenko's words earned him more of Kallo's attention than he'd yet received; the older male stopped his grooming entirely and turned to face him.
"I'm sorry to hear that." His voice was genuine; he really did feel for his companion, understanding what it was like to be treated as... less that worthwhile by a human. He snorted and shook his head, his expression darkening. His short tail flicked back and forth, showing his irritation.
"That's part of why I try not to stay too long in one place... They're not all like that, but it's easier to never find out the hard way. Well, from my experience anyway. Why some humans are so... cruel, or judgmental, or shallow, I shall never know." He sighed, his momentary anger fading back into sympathy.
"I really am sorry you learned the unpleasantness some humans hold in their hearts the hard way."

"Thank you" he said to Kallo watching as the other started to show signs of Irritation. "Yeah I see why you would do that, The lady she thought I was cursed. Said its not normal for things to just sprout a tail. Most of the village seemed to agree so I left." He wasn't sure why humans where the way they where either. Some though that he was a curse or a demon who took the form a of neko but instead of bring good luck stole the luck of others. He sighed and shook his head. "It's fine, better to learn than to live as a naive fool forever."

"...I suppose so." Kallo frowned, his ears tilted back. "Still, to be cast out by an entire village because of something you can't control... There are lots of unique Maneki Neko out there. Some with unusual tails, or even horns or hooves... I don't understand why they'd point at one part of a Maneki Neko and decide it makes them cursed! Especially when they knew him as a kitten."
He sighed again and lay down, letting the fire warm him. "I know what it's like to wander... But at least there are humans who give me food and shelter from the weather. You've had it harder than I have." And Zenko seemed less bitter and jaded despite that. Youth, maybe, but the niggling idea of Kallo's own paranoia and bitterness returned to pester him again. He pushed it aside; he would think about it when he was alone.

Zenko shrugged at Kallo's question. "I'm not sure, humans can be weird. But the village i came from was small and I don't think where where many nekos there I don"t think met any were I lived." He found the fact that their where a lot of nekos with odd features around interesting. "I've found that I like to wander but it must be nice to have a place to go, but I'm sure it will all work out someday." The young neko smiled at Kallo. "Inari works in mysterious ways after all."
He tried to focus on the conversation but the mention of other nekos kept coming back to his mind. "So are there a lot of Meneki Neko's around here then?" He watched the fire for a moment as he waited for the other to respond. He wondered if there was any food around, most likely he would start to get hungry soon. Ah but then the food was probably an offering to Inari. Well hopefully the storm would end soon so he could get some food, although that would mean that his new friend would probably leave and he enjoyed chatting with Kallo. He'd rather spend time talking then finding food if he had to choose.

"Hm? Oh- yeah, there are a lot of us living in this town. There's apparently a few other types of spirits around as well, but that's thought to be because of all the Maneki Neko. I've never seen any of them, though." This was perfectly normal to Kallo; but he realised that, if he'd met few others like him, Zenko might be unused to or curious about the Maneki Neko living around here. He tried to think of what else to tell him.
"Hm... There's a park nearer the centre of town, where a lot of Maneki Neko tend to go to meet each other. And there's always the chance you'll just meet another anywhere in town- like us. And uh..." He thought harder, but nothing else came to mind.
"Well, that's all I can think of to tell you, anyway. But if there's anything you want to know..."
((Would you like to aim to wrap it up by the end of this page, maybe with them spending the night in the temple, and have the next RP as them heading out in the morning?))

Zenko smiled so there where a lot of other neko's around oh and spirits to. "That information is very helpful thank you, I will have to check out the park sometime. Huh so there are other types of spirits two? Thats interesting, you said they are here because of us? Are they attracted to the Maneki neko's, since you don't seem to be worried about them Im guessing they aren't harmful? I'm sorry about all the questions"
Zenko looked out side and watched as the down pour continued for where he was it looked like it had turned to slush witch meant that it would most likely turn to snow soon, if it was doing so at this moment. "I think the rain is starting to turn to snow." He commented to Kallo.

Kallo smiled at his companion's curiosity.
"I don't know much about the other spirits- but nobody has had any trouble with them, so the general consensus is that they're not dangerous. I'm not certain why they're here- but people seem to think that they're drawn to the spirits of Maneki Neko, and since there's so many of us, it makes sense to me." He shrugged. "This is just what people think, though. I don't think anyone knows for sure."
He turned to look as Zenko mentioned the weather, cringing a little. "Well... I guess I'd rather walk through the snow than the rain if I have to. But I would prefer it to clear up completely." He shook his head. "Probably not going to happen at this time of year, though... Not for a while, at least. Maybe we really will have to stay here tonight." He was starting to be resigned to the possibility- he would much rather be in a familiar house, where he knew he would be safe and there would be food. But at least it was warm here; this wouldn't be the first time he'd gone hungry overnight, and at least he knew where he could find a good meal in the morning.

Zenko listened intently to Kallo's words, his ears perked forward to catch everything, and his eyes wide with wonder. Hmm so the other spirits where drawn to the meneki neko some how, that was interesting, it seemed only Inari knew why they where. "I see, well its good that they don't seem to be dangerous, it would be bad if we had to fight them."
Zenko watched as the snow continued to fall harder and harder. "Yeah, from the looks of things it seems like its going to be snowing for a while. I hope it's not a blizzard. I wouldn't want to get snowed in without any food. The water that fell earlier is probably starting to turn to ice too, which means we must take care when we walk out side." The younger nekos tails twitched a bit as he waited to hear the older male's thoughts on the matter.

"I doubt we'd get snowed in, there wouldn't be that much... And there's definitely someone somewhere around the temple, they wouldn't leave a fire burning completely unattended." He pondered, considering what he knew of humans, and the rather respectful ones who tended to the temples. "They probably know we're here already but are giving us space. But if there is a lot of snow- or if the door blows shut- then I'm sure they'll let us out in the morning." He would rather it not come to that- he didn't like the feeling of being trapped.
He shifted position and lay down near enough to the fire to stay warm, leaving enough room for Zenko to do so as well without them lying too close together. "I suppose we will see in the morning." He half-closed his eyes; staring at the small gap the doorway provided him with, through which he could see the snowfall. He knew it wouldn't be a restful sleep, but hopefully he would get at least some.

"Ah I see, hmm so the one who run temples is here?" He said thinking aloud. "Thats good, I'm glad they didn't try to kick us out." The young fox Neko moved closer to the fire and curled up with his tales wrapped around his body. He yawned before setting his head down on his paw. "Mmm" He agreed. "we'll find out in the morning.
The teen yawned again and enjoyed the warmth of the fire for a moment before he fell asleep to the soothing noise of the flames.

Kallo didn't reply; deep in thought about whoever was in the temple, and the weather, and the next day. He listened as Zenko's breathing got slower and deeper, indicating the teen had slipped into deep sleep; and tried not to fidget.
Slowly his senses stopped being hyper-alert and he was gradually able to relax; gradually slipping into a fitful sleep. He awoke when one of the doors to the inner temple opened; someone came in and slipped a stop in the small gap in the door, stopping it from closing all the way; and stirring the fire, bringing it's dying flames back to life. He watched her from the room and had trouble falling asleep again afterwards; but eventually, he did.
