Somnium puffed out his chest, holding himself as tall as he could. The sudden waves of pride and arrogance being sent to Marco had the doctor rolling his eyes. The buck wanted to strut but there wasn’t much space to strut in, so the guardian just tried too hard to look impressive really. It was annoying for the doctor, who was doing what he normally would try to do in such events, ignore it. A heavy sigh as he rubbed his head Marco shook it off. “Somnium, please.” The buck snorted, too busy trying to impress the doe in the room.
“Sorry, he’s just being a brat now where were we? Oh right. Payment.” Coins stacked and counted out, he hoped that it would get him what he needed. Perhaps it was the pessimist in him, but he hoped that he wasn’t paying a man who was going to take a worse fever and end up dead. It would be more than unfortunate, especially given the whole fact that the man had a guardian. If wolves really were returning… they would need the beings more than ever. “I can come pick it up. These days and nights I’m usually traveling anyway. Too many people falling to the cold. Working too hard.” A pointed look at Matthew.
“End up making more house calls each winter. And with the rumors, few want to leave their homes, meaning I have to leave mine. It’s a busy winter, so picking it up is best. Could miss me if I had you deliver it.” Patting Somnium on his flank, Marco nodded. “I’ll be off then. Just send letter when it’s done and I’ll come pick it up.”
