Though the bribe was offered, the manx did not take it. She dealt with stubborn senshi all the time, so this wasn't an uncommon tactic she had found. However, she also knew when to not push an issue.
Instead, she leaned her head back towards the sky which Nickeline had taken to looking upon.
There were countless stars, moons, comets, asteroids, and worlds up in the sky, waiting for senshi to come home and claim them. One of them was for Nickeline, but which one she could not tell. The chaos imbued with her starseed made it impossible for the Mauvian to know.
"I wish I knew your real name..." she mused aloud, half aware she had even dared to spout such a desire.

The bribe wasn't taken but that didn't matter because ********* didn't seem to press that matter. It would be embarrassing to divulge such information so openly to the world. She'd never had a pet before, at least outside of finding snakes and butterflies in the garden, but if this were another time and place she'd maybe like a cat. Despite their evil properties, they were decent companions.
The musing ********* had sprouted off was not gone unnoticed by the corrupt senshi. It caught her attention and caused her to slowly lower her gaze from the sky toward the cat. What she had heard and what ********* meant were two different things, especially since she didn't even comprehend that if she was not with the Negaverse that she'd have another name. She knew ********* knew that her name was Nickeline, she'd said it only a few minutes ago. If that's not what she meant, what did she mean? She didn't even dare associate Theodora with any of this life so what was it?
"Huh?" Seemed to describe it best.

The cat noted the confusion with a gentle tilt of her head, eyes almost sympathetically upon the girl. She had never known who she was, which meant she had never truly met any cats prior to the corruption coursing through her starseed. Nobody could teach her what she had been.
Well, at least, until now.
With a paw, she attempted to point up to the sky, but found her arm couldn't get as high up as she wanted, so instead she used her nose to point to the sky. "All senshi... are named for what is up there. Stars, Moons, Constellations, Comets, Asteroids... all sorts of stuff. Nickeline isn't your real name... The Negaverse didn't know your name... so they assigned you one... if I were to guess correctly..."

Nickeline cursed those large green eyes that seemed to look at her with such sorrow. Cats, cats were truly evil.
It would have been nice to say Nickeline automatically understood what ********* was saying. It was quite the opposite in fact though. She had followed the cat's arm and then nose up to the sky where she'd been looking but she didn't get it. The names of stars? Well, Nickeline didn't really know much about them so she couldn't really point any out to the cat. Well, at least, that's what she assumed the cat was getting at.
"Don't know stars," she replied.

The manx sighed.
She obviously misunderstood what had been said. However, ********* knew that even if she attempted to press the issue and even if Nickeline had truly understood, what would that achieve?
She'd just know that she would not ever know who she truly was.
It was a depressing thought. For a moment, a fleeting frown managed to find a place on the Mauvian's face before she willed it away. With the newly created smile, she reassured with a simple "It's okay, Nickeline." With a nod, she then turned to give the Baklava the proper attention it had been needing for a good few minutes.
It was time for consumption!

Yeah, things were okay. It was a good thought to go out on as she went back to looking up on the sky. She'd take a few minutes to herself, ignoring the cat again as she allowed time for ********* to finish up the baklava. It probably wouldn't take long for the fat cat to clear her plate, and then eventually she'd bring the cat back down to earth before she forget she was there and left her up on the roof.
