Painite reached out and grabbed him, stopping him from falling out of the goodness of her heart. Actually, it was more because she wanted him up and on his feet. She hauled him into the nearest wall, slamming him as hard as she could into it. Which was hard enough, though she was only using one arm for it.
She had her spear in her other hand, holding it near its pointed top so she could jab it into his side and keep it there. She watched him, putting him there so she could see into his eyes for this part.
"I'm going to kill you now. But I want you to watch. I want you to see what it's like, what it will be like, for all your friends eventually. Just think, every single one of them will suffer the same thing you are right now. Isn't that lovely? Unity at last, isn't that what you all want?"
She made her spear disappear, not needing it for now, and pressed her hand to his chest. It soon moved inside his chest, her lithe fingers finding the starseed and wrapping around it almost tenderly. This was her favorite part, after all, so why not savor it?

Athene felt the breath whoosh out of him as the Nega-General slammed him against a nearby building, feeling the sharp edge of her spear pricking into his side, her voice almost conversational as she looked at him and informed him that she was going to kill him. It hadn’t been enough – he hadn’t even managed to land a hit on her and now it was over and she was going to stab him with that horrible spear. Dully he let his eyes close, only for them to fly open again in shock as he felt her hand at his chest. What?And then her hand was in his chest and oh god it hurt – how it hurt. As it happened, Athene was not the only order senshi out and about. Sailor Zidek was out and on patrol – well wandering around aimlessly. He hadn’t been a senshi long and still wasn’t sure what to make of the whole thing. After all the talking cat had pretty much given him a henshin pen and phone, told him that he was kind of superhero and then scampered Zidek wasn’t sure about the whole superhero business, especially as he wasn’t sure what exactly how he was supposed to go about it – but the jumping ability sure was cool – even if the stupid tights were not. His senshi power wasn’t great either – seriously whoever came up with it was totally lame. But Zidek was 6’1”, played soccer in his spare time when not stuck with even lamer school and if he said so himself had a mean right hook. It was supposed to be a normal evening, a bit of aimless wandering maybe some more of that neat jumping before sneaking back in the Hillworth dorms for ugh – school. Hearing screaming hadn’t been part of the evening plans. Nor was seeing some lady pinning some chick to a wall. “Zidek blast!” he yelled sending his lame ball of harmless brown light at the lady before charging at her. Maybe this is what the talking cat had meant by being a superhero. After all that chick could probably do with some rescuing and everyone knew (read Zidek knew) that rescuing chicks was a totally good guy thing to do – even better if the chick turned out to be cute.

General Painite was focused on her task, and hardly noticed the aura that was coming toward them. She was taking her time, making sure the senshi suffered, letting him feel what Chaos could do and hoping he took it with him to whatever after life might be waiting for him.
When something hit her, then, she was thoroughly surprised and, in the same instance, thoroughly enraged. It was like someone had interrupted something very private, and that was just unacceptable.
She was having a moment here with Sailor Athene. His last moment. She did not wish to be interrupted.
"So, little senshi, you thought you'd come out and help, heh?" She growled, pulling her hand out of Athene's chest, thankfully without the starseed. She wasn't done with him, and was certain he wouldn't be going anywhere. She turned on the senshi, grinning viciously. "Just a little baby, in over his head. Oh, you've made such a terrible mistake. It's sad, then, that you'll never really understand just how bad it was."
She called her spear to her hand, eyes darkening, growing colder, as they leveled on the new senshi. His bravery was cute, but he was destined to fail. She charged at him even as he tried to do the same, her spear flashing forward, aiming for the center of the senshi's stomach. Maybe she could make a nice kebab.

Without the Nega-General no longer holding him up Athene ended up falling to the ground with a thump. The dark-haired senshi was breathing heavilly and (thanks to Zidek’s actions) still in possession of his starseed, however there would be no help for the base rank senshi at this point of time from that quarter. “Yeah?” Zidek’s voice was scornful. He resented the baby comment – he wasn’t no baby. “Well everyone knows that the good guys always win.” Where had she been? Except that no one had told him that the bad guy would come complete with a seriously sharp point-ended object (spear) which was patently unfair given that Zidek had lumbered with his stupid ball of light thing. He swerved, trying to avoid the spear while trying to get close enough to clock the spear lady one. It hadn’t quite sunk in that maybe just mayhaps he was in over his head.

Painite laughed.
"Do they, now? Well, I never was one for conventions." She moved and grabbed the young senshi by his throat, her grip crushing. She was not holding back, making sure that he could not breathe. There was always that delightful panic, when one realized they weren't getting the most important thing they needed. Air was a simple thing to deprive of someone, and the purest way to remind someone of their mortality.
And then take it all away.
"Say good bye, senshi. Oh. Wait. You can't, can you?" She grinned and let her spear do the work for her, forgetting about Athene for a moment while she focused on Zidek. Her spear sliced into his skin like a warm knife through butter, straight into his gut. She turned the blade with a painful jerk, eyes locked on Zidek's.
"Looks like you lose. Maybe you just weren't good enough."

Athene had lain slumped where he had fallen, the fall had only added more pain on to the aftershocks of the pain he had felt when the Nega-General had gripped his starseed and the dull throb of the earlier cuts she had ‘gifted’ him with. He had sensed the base rank senshi, had tried to call out a stop as he realised belatedly that the other senshi was charging the Nega-General but his voice had come out as a hoarse croak that had gone unheard. Zidek hadn’t time for more than a “Wha…” before the Spear Lady moved, his hands trying to scrabble frantically at her hand. Zidek’s actions had been brave perhaps, but they had also most certainly been foolish. Zidek was a base senshi. Painite (or Spear Lady as he’d dubbed her) a Negaverse General – Zidek had been outclassed from the start. Athene heard the Nega-General saying the words ‘Say goodbye’ eyes widening as the other senshi made a horrible choked sound. Not again. I… I don’t want any more people to die. Not like at that horrible meeting. But what could he do – he was no good like this.

"Goodness... getting into trouble again?"
Despite how dreary the situation seemed to be, a familiar cheery voice seemed to make her presence known.
Said cheery voice called out "********* Special Surprise," and within a moment, Painite would find an energy blast getting shot in her direction from a round little Mauvian. It wasn't enough to serve as anything fatal, but it would hopefully serve as a good distraction for both senshi.
Despite the amount of energy she had used, ********* was willing to take another risk. Of the two senshi, she only had enough energy to boost one up to the next rank. Where two super senshi might have stood a chance against the General, the better bet was to bring an eternal senshi into the fight.
The manx rather suddenly shot up in height, and with that simple change of form, she went from having no magical presence to speak of to having a vast aura. A silvery haired girl in a powdery blue top hat slid up to Athene's side.
"...I hope this is enough Athene..." Rather than seek out his henshin pen, she placed her hand upon the fallen senshi, aiming to locate his starseed before closing her eyes and concentrating briefly.

Considering the base level senshi had a spear in his gut, the choice of the super senshi was probably the right one for the cat to make. Painite growled when the blast hit her, though it did more to draw her attention than to distract her considering she had been fully involved in her little senshi and not paying any attention to Athene.
She'd assumed he was not going anywhere, and had not anticipated a cat showing up.
"What's this, then?" she asked, growling but finding herself grinning after a moment.
The senshi had slumped to the ground behind her. She had not managed to pull his starseed, her focus being drawn, but she held her bloody spear and grinned, walking slowly toward the duo. She watched them with sharp, wicked eyes.
"Tonight just gets better and better."

It seemed there had been more Order folks out and about than Athene had realised, although the dark-haired senshi at least knew this voice, unlike the unknown senshi who had recklessly charged the Nega-General and then fallen afoul of her spear. “He..********* felt a feeling of warmth washing over him, the warmth quickly intensifying. But it was a good intense, with the warmth seeming to chase away the last of the aftershocks pain left in the wake of the Nega-General’s attempt to take the dark-haired senshi of beads’ starseed. There was a bright glow about the super senshi, his fuku glowing a brigher and brighter white. And when the glow faded, Athene’s fuku had changed.  And where once there had been a Super senshi, an Eternal Senshi’s aura blazed.

The moment she had finished up with her work with Athene, the girl rather quickly seemed to slip back to her much shorter height. Being quick on her feet, the manx soon enough shot towards Painite's direction. However, instead of lingering around the General too long, she attempted to shoot past in an effort to now reach the injured one.

The senshi she'd been playing with had died on the floor, bleeding out rather than having his starseed pulled. It didn't matter to Painite, one way or the other. She did not get time to focus on it, though, her irritation levels spiking through the roof.
"Aw, look at you. Feeling stronger now, are you?" she asked, though her tone lacked any warmth. She growled, gripping her spear so tightly her knuckles turned white. She stalked slowly toward the new Eternal senshi.
She was losing control of this interaction, and she didn't like that.
"Do you think that's going to save you? A little change of costume? A bit more power? You're still made of flesh and blood, and I have a hell of a way of triumphing over flesh and blood." She didn't need to move her spear to emphasize its role in her threat. She continued to close the space between them, slowly, eyes blazing with anger.

Athene had risen to his feet when ********* made a dash for Zidek’s direction, causing strands of long raven-black hair to fall about his face. He bit his lip, his face pale as he stared at the approaching Nega-General. She was wrong he didn’t feel that strong at all. This was the second time she’d tried to kill him and would have succeeded this time round but for the timely intervention of both the unknown senshi lying oh so so very quiet behind her and ********* clenched his right fist, a part of the new eternal senshi knowing that it was pointless trying to talk to the Nega-General – she’d already tried to kill him twice – would probably kill them all if she could. No, he had to do his best to try and stop her… Buy them all some time. He raised his left hand, calling out the words of his senshi ability as he did so, the words “Blue Beads of Nazar!” ringing out into the night. Once the beads finally formed he directed them towards the Nega-General. ********* had made for the unknown senshi’s direction. Maybe the silvery-furred guardian cat could help the other senshi like she’d helped him. [ooc note: Athene’s basic attack takes the form of a ‘ball of beads’ that can trap a target with ill will towards Athene in a barrier of beads if it connects. (Ill will means that the target wishes to cause some form of harm to Athene). Target can still jump, block, or strike with their weapon - but they cannot leave the ring of beads, however corrupted beings with the ability to teleport can teleport out of them. Beads can be smashed by someone outside the barrier, smashing half (12 to 15) will bring down the barrier.

The manx had managed to make it to the target. The eyes of the general and the eternal senshi did not seem to matter to her for those moments. She placed a paw against the senshi's hand before leaning down to nudge him with her nose.
She might not have known this senshi before that very moment, but as she put together the pieces and learned what his current state was, all the feline could do was let out a heart-wrenching yowl.
She might have succeeded with Athene, but she had managed to fail Zidek.

General Painite let the cat run for the senshi, knowing full well there was nothing she could do about it. Wait. Could they? She didn't hang out with the guardian cats that often, and did not know all of their abilities. Face lasers, yes, but could they revive senshi as they did awaken them? She'd never heard of it, but then, there was a first time for everything.
Better not be this time, though, damn it.
Painite was stopped in her tracks, though, by Athene's attack. They probably worked better now than they ever had before, considering just how badly she wanted to shred him with her spear, and how very obvious about that fact she was being.
Stopping her just made her even angrier.
"What the bloody hell is this?!"
She didn't realize that she could just teleport her way out of them, assuming the senshi magic would keep her there and just not trying. There was a saying about what happened when one assumed, but she was in a bit of a rage and nothing thinking at her clearest level.

Basic the attack may have been, but Athene’s senshi ability was enough to temporarily trap the Nega-General where she stood. Any relief the new Eternal may have felt however faded at the sound of ********* mournful yowl, the gut-wrenching sound enough to make the hairs rise on his uncovered arms, as Athene found himself following the path that the silvery-furred manx had taken at a trot. But even as he ran past the trapped for now Nega-General, Athene didn’t want to believe what the yowl was implying. He was about halfway when the sirens started up. The cause of the sirens had been a middle-aged woman, who worked nights and was hurrying home. She had heard screaming and although unwilling to investigate and loathe to get involved, the seeming youth of the screams have given her pause enough for her to put through a call through to the Destiny City Police department to report that someone nearby to where she was appeared to be trying to kill a kid. Then feeling that she had done as much as she could the not-quite Samaritan had fled as fast as she could not wanting to come face to face with the cause of the screams. And now the shrill sound of police sirens wound its way down the lonely streets towards where the Eternal, Guardian, Nega-General and dead Senshi were.
