Penelope blushed at so much attention given to her, and if she hadn't been trying to fool the rambunctious boys then she would have hastily corrected Sirsce and pointed out some real veterans. For all of her experiences, she still turned to those who had guided her thus far to take the lead. Some she respected; many she loved. Maybe Sailor Leda would benefit from coming to a Jovian meeting... bu thtat would have to be another time.

The teenager tensed up whenever Sirsce grabbed hold of her hand, but she played along as she gasped, "Not again... okay, just hold on!" She moved down the alley at her ally's pace, keeping an appropriately worried look on her face. Penelope placed a hand on the other girl's back and began to rub it gently, as anyone would do trying to soothe someone not feeling well. She might not be good at lying, and they might be caught anyway... but she was going to do her best!

The sound of leaving laughter made her breath a sigh of relief, although a short-lived sigh given that due to their still interlocked hands she was pulled up and down with her excited partner. "It's...it's quite alright...r-r-really. Almost-st home now, and a sh-shower will help."

After the teenagers departed, they were free to navigate the back roads to Penelope's house unhindered. It felt rather exhilarating, actually, to dart through the alleys and watch for every moving shadow. Sirsce felt akin to a secret agent hiding out from enemy forces, which wasn't all that far from the truth. She never considered senshihood could actually provide entertainment, and all this skulking around rather tickled her fancy, even though they were doing nothing wrong. Did Penelope see it that way, though?

Judging by the stutter in her voice, she likely didn't. "Oh, um, are you okay?" She didn't want to seem overly concerned since she was far more enlightened about senshidom than Sirsce was, but she couldn't help but notice the girl's discomfort. Did she do something to upset her? Sirsce finally forfeited her grasp of Penelope's hand and widened the distance between them. "Um, I'm sorry if I offended you or anything. I guess my stinkiness slipped my mind." Which was true - for a moment, she was so absorbed in her charades that he forgot her putrid odor.

Sirsce retained her distance as she followed behind her new acquaintance, eager to seize a much-needed shower. Besides, straggling behind downwind was a benefit to Penelope, and the last thing she wanted to do was offend or inconvenience a fellow senshi. As they meandered through the alleys, Sirsce spotted more and more residential areas. If this was where Penelope lived, they weren't too far apart.

"So you um, live around here? Because I live like, three blocks away from this area." She tried excruciatingly hard to temper her enthusiasm, but all that energy brimmed within her and threatened to boil over into another enthusiastic outburst.

The dark-haired girl was a little more cautious, scanning the alleyway for any sign of someone to spot them before deciding to continue onward. She was pretty certain that they would not have another encounter like their recent close call... but she did not want to take any unnecessary risks, either! At Sirce's question, she immediately protested. Penelope waved her hands in an effort to disappate any misconceptions as she replied hastily, "No, I'm not... I took no offense! Just... not quite used to bouncing up and down like that, so if I sounded funny... that's probably why!"

The rest of the trip was relatively uneventful, moving from alley to alley with her home coming ever closer. She could not help but notice that her new, excitable ally had decided to hang back a bit, and she tried to reassure her, "You can walk closer. It's right over there--do you see, with the camilla bush? That's where--

Sirce's announcement made her stop, and a smile appeared on her face, "Really? Only three blocks? I had no idea anyone was that close!" "Anyone" being another Senshi, of course!

"Ooh, that's so exciting!" A smile spread across Sirsce's face and she attempted to give her new friend a high five. "We can like, go patrolling, or um, team up and stuff! And other senshi things..." Whatever those might be. She was pretty new to the whole senshi lifestyle, and had no idea how to be successful in her role as a soldier. She could really use a helping hand to get her on her feet and show her the way to proper senshidom, if she ever hoped to achieve even lukewarm success in her role.

"Or, um, we could do normal things too!" She didn't want to shut that idea out. "I don't know what you're interested in, but like, we can do mall visits and I can design clothes for you, and um... Oh! We could just go get coffee and stuff too. if you drink it. I dunno if you do, but I love coffee." Unfortunately, a high dose of caffeine pegged her at an energy level that rivaled a bipolar person in their manic phase.

Sirsce had gotten so carried away with her ideas that she neglected to realize they arrived at Penelope's house.

Sirsce took in the building with sweeping glances. "So this is your house? It looks nice!" She was anxious to see the interior, and to finally shower. She'd gotten so used to the dumpster smell that she'd nearly forgotten about it until she caught a whiff of the flora. "Oh goodness, I forgot I stink!" She smelled the inside of her shirt and wrinkled her nose. She hadn't a clue how Penelope persevered through the stench that entire time. "Um, your parents won't throw me out for being too smelly, will they? Maybe I should sneak in through the window?"

Then again, if she got caught doing that, they might conclude that Penelope is gay, or that she's some kind of secret drug dealer, or that she's breaking in, or... Well, who breaks in to use showers anyway? It definitely seemed suspicious.

And now introducing Minotaur, because dogs are adorbs.

Penelope accepted the high five and brightened at the mention of a team. She didn't want to be too forward or too pushy, but she felt she had to mention, "I'm always happy to help! I'm actually part of a larger team--" and here her voice dropped, just in case someone could possibly overhear, "the Jovians. If you want, I'll introduce you to them?" Afterall, the Jovians had far more experience than Penelope did alone. They had trained her, cared for her, and she cared for them. She was positive that they would support Sirsce too.

The other girl's open, exuberant demeanor was a strong contrast to Penelope's own more demure personality. It was a tad overwhelming, in truth, but she tried to get a word in as she pushed the door open, "I go the mall sometimes, to walk around and visit the comic shop--and oh, I couldn't trouble you to make me anything, really!" So much attention was rattling to her. She wanted to help and to please, but she certainly didn't want her new companion to feel like she was taking advantage!

Her house was remarkably quiet. Lived in, but tidy, a staircase could be seen from the door and the living room sprawled out to the left. From said living room trotted the only member of the family home, and Penelope smiled at the sight of his familiar, slobbery face. "My parents are out for the day, so long as Minotaur lets you in, I think we'll be okay?"

Judging from the way his little nub of a tail wriggled, it was safe to say the English Bulldog liked the new, fishy friend just fine!

Damn straight!

"Oh, I didn't know they had like, actual teams." How big could the team be? Five people maybe? Regardless, a larger team of senshi would be a formidable force. Since she'd hardly ever encountered Negaversers in a group, it would make sense to defend themselves in a larger quantity. At least there's less of a chance of losing in numbers, and senshi magic was usually pretty useful, which she thought gave them the upper hand. She could be wrong, though; she hadn't seen many senshi in action, and didn't really understand the fighting anyway.

Once she entered the house, her train of thought derailed and she instantly shifted to taking in her surroundings. The place felt calm and clean, a stark contrast to her own home. It was decorated tastefully, and it smelled faintly floral in the home. Overall she liked the look of the house, and how open it felt. Sirsce found it quite inviting, especially once Minotaur arrived.

Sirsce cooed excitedly and dropped to a crouch when the dog ambled toward her. "Hey, boy!" She stretched her arms toward the dog in what she hoped was an inviting stance, but she knew next to nothing about dogs (aside from their penchant for peanut butter). "He's super cute, Penelope!" Sirsce would've snatched him up from the ground and squeezed him, but that was probably inappropriate. She didn't want to appear inadvertently homicidal toward dogs, or upset the dog when she suddenly seized him from the ground and he found himself airborne. And what would happen if she squeeze too hard? She'd rather not find out.

"Oh, would you mind giving me a tour of the house too?" She'd love to stay and pet the dog, but she also wanted to see the home of a more established senshi. She was curious; did Penelope lead a normal life outside of senshihood, or was her house more militarized now? She wanted to see how someone else copes with the knowledge that they were part of a war that the everyday civilian knew nothing about. Penelope seemed really sweet; it surprised Sirsce that she was wrapped up in this whole ordeal. That only fascinated her further.

Sorry post is so late! Ended up being longer than I expected. xD;

Minotaur considered the crouched stance to be an open invitation to waddle over and recieve some pets. His nub tail wriggled all the faster, and he moved to lick the new lady--no easy feat, given his drooly jowls. He was cute alright, and in his own plump little way, he knew it.

Penelope closed the door while her dog made introductions. She had to clear something before they went too much farther.
"I consider all Senshi and Knights my team, really," the teenager replied quickly. She didn't want Sirsce to get the wrong idea! Penelope had always believed strongly in the power of unity; the fights that occurred between her allies distressed her. Yet... even in their fighting, at least they all came together. No one she had ever known was abandoned. "I'd help any of them, and I have many friends who aren't part of the Jovians. It's just..."

She tried to think of a way to explain it, but all her debate training had never truly prepared her for trying to define the best friendships she had ever made. How could she adequately explain how much it meant for her to be approached by Tallulah and Christa and given direction, and a connection developed from their moons? To know Paris had her back, not only on the battle field, but in the shopping arena? How welcoming Chris had been, trusting her with his identity so quickly after they met? Sessrumnir had saved not only her, but her best friend--Harper was even an honorary Jovian, in her mind.

What eventually came out was a smile and a small, almost apologetic shrug, "There are so many of us, and others... grow attached to their friends, too. We all work together, but because of what certain people experience... they become smaller teams, closer knit. Like... the difference between a cousin you love, and who you get along with, and a big brother or sister. The connection is... it's hard to explain, but I'm sure you'll find a group that you get along with too, and then you'll understand."

The request for a tour was a welcome reprieve from her own ramblings, if a little unexpected. The dark-haired girl nodded and motioned towards the stairs, "Of course! We'll do the upstairs first--I need to get you a change of clothes anyway while we put yours in the wash. If you'll follow me?"

The second floor was as neat as the first floor had been. Penelope led Sirsce to her bedroom first, the room at the farthest end of the hall and cloest to the stairs. Behind the door lay a fairly unassuming room, at least to Penelope's mind. The bedspread and pillows were soothing shades of purple, blue, and gray. A small desk with a laptop computer had an owl calendar hanging beside it, with a neat to-do list and important messages on a corkboard. A book shelf full of graphic novels and fantasy books stood against one wall, a few action figures and toys adding a decorative touch at the top. Two extra doors could be seen; one led to the closet, and the other led to the small bathroom that connected to Penelope's room.

The only two items that might be seen as unusual were both near the clothes dresser. A bit of statue in the form of a mask rested on the top of the furniture; on the wall above the dresser was a picture of Jupiter and a list of its moons. Penelope walked towards it, immediately growing a little flustered. It wasn't often that she had visitors in her room--of any type, much less another Senshi. "I think we're about the same size, anyway? I have some big nightgowns, if nothing else, that should fit..."

Minotaur climbed the stairs more slowly than the two girls, but his huffing and snuffling clearly indicated that he was on his way!

It's okay! You gave me a lot to read!

Sirsce marveled at the meaning behind her words. It seemed like normally Penelope wouldn't go on such a tangent, like she preferred to keep to herself more than anything, so something must've spurred her on to speak her mind. Regardless, it was comforting to hear of there being so many teams, and so many senshi banding together in their fight. She didn't know how she'd make it alone - now she didn't have to. Initially Sirsce thought all senshi fought alone, as rogue warriors in a fight not weighed in their favor. However, that didn't have to be true, thanks to Penelope's enlightening words.

"You think I can find a group?" She asked with a hopeful tone. The thought of banding together with others like her made fighting almost seem bearable. She longed to be a part of something like that - a group who supported her, helped her grow into her abilities and who she could eventually contribute to herself. "How did you manage to find your group? Um, was it by accident? I hope it's not by accident... I don't think I'm very good at accidentally finding groups." Yeah, she was good at face planting into dumpsters and getting chased off by strange Negaversers and creepy shadow-like beings.

Who knows, maybe Penelope would even invite her along with her group. Wouldn't that be a nice change of pace from the solo escapades she'd grown to dislike?

Sirsce didn't have much time to look around, as she was quickly escorted to Penelope's room. It bore the same tidiness as the rest of the house, yet with a touch of quiet personality. She appreciated the silence of the room, save for the ever growing snuffling from her exuberant dog, but she found herself trying to quiet her inner effervescence for fear of disturbing the quietude. She glanced about the room with her hand drawn to her chest, and took in the variety of sights before her. A corkboard with hastily scrawled notes, reminding their owner of a variety of tasks that still needed completing or various references, possibly for school. She also owned a plethora of manga, prominently displayed on her bookshelf with character figures adorning the top.

However, what drew her eye most was the large poster of Jupiter and its surrounding moons. Sirsce herself didn't know much about astronomy - she could name maybe five of their solar system planets off the top of her head, and struggled to name the rest. Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn... The rest were a blur. As such, she knew even less about the moons of Jupiter, and was surprised to discover there were so many. "Hey, are there senshi for all these moons? I recognize Leda!" She pointed to her name on the list. "Ooh, you're on here too!" How exciting - their senshi alter egos related to one another as moons of Jupiter. What were the chances of that?

"Um, so who are the other people in your team? Are they like, close to your moon? Oh, maybe it's something nifty like every third moon of every planet is part of the three-moon team!" A little farfetched, but a couple astronomy geeks could swing it, right? "Oh, oh, I could make you guys matching scarves for your group! It could have, like, planets on it and stuff!" Sashes would work too, or cute boots. Though, if there were any male senshi on her team, they may scoff at wearing a scarf or boots. Maybe she should stick to hats. But girls don't always like hats either... Would a brooch work? No, she couldn't make brooches. "Um, or just like, an iron-on patch..." That seemed an acceptable alternative.

Penelope nodded as she pulled out the nightgown she had been reaching for, a pale blue cotton piece decorated with fluffy, white owls. It was a little big on her, so she hoped it would fit Sirsce! "Of course. If I can find a team... then I think anyone can."

She turned to hand the girl the garment, the question unexpected but one that she would certainly answer. "Oh... I... um, I didn't really find them. They... they found me." She brushed some of her thick black hair behind one ear, explaining, "Europa and Kallichore found me and... thought I had something to offer. So I went to a meeting and... well, the rest just sort of happened. Now we're all friends and have done so much together...I can't imagine doing this without them. The same with all my friends, really." She paused and offered, a soft smile on her face, "If... if you want, I'd be happy to introduce you to--"

Her guest's excited comment and motion made her pause, and marroon eyes widened. Leda... a moon of Jupiter? She looked to where the other girl pointed and yes, sure enough. Penelope excitedly clasped her hands together, nightgown and all, "You're another Senshi of Jupiter! I mean... yes... all the moons have Senshi, I think. Although we haven't found them all. This is so exciting, Sirsce!"

Penelope looked over the list of moons, and she unclasped her hands to trail her fingers down the list with an ease that bespoke much practice. She listed the names in order that they appeared, alphabetically, "Callisto, Cyllene, Europa, Ganymede, Kallichore, and then there's me, Pasiphae. There are others not on the list--Valhalla, Sessrumnir, and Babylon are all Knights. Vindamitrix is a Senshi. Tomlin is a Guardian Cat. Then there are others that I would consider part of my team... Nyx, my best friend, for example." The discrete girl stuck only with powered names, not personal. It was not her place to break their trust, and she would certainly not dare.

Then the enegetic Sirsce was off suggesting things again, and the more reserved girl felt herself blushing. She wouldn't lie--she had thought about it. Some token to show that they were all Jovians... but what? All she had been able to think of was a "4"-shaped symbol of some sort... maybe everyone could pick their own thing? "Oh, you really don't... have to go through such trouble! I mean, not that we wouldn't be grateful or... anything, but it's such a burden on you..."

Quicksilver the Archangel

Wow, Sirsce never dreamed there would be so many moons of Jupiter, and that she had something in common with other senshi outside of her powers. Wait, did that mean she could be a part of Penelope's group? Weren't they all related to Jupiter somehow? Despite her stupidity with astronomy, she was slowly piecing the puzzle together. "Um, so this means I can be in your team, right? Or at least meet them?" She'd love to meet more senshi, especially if they'd help her find some way to avoid blowing dogs for quarters in battle. If she had some sort of planetary tie to them, that gave her a leg up on meeting them, or so she thought.

Penelope's excitement only confirmed it. She grew even more effervescent at the thought of finally becoming part of a team, even though she hadn't received an invitation yet. "Ooh, imagine all the cool stuff we could do if we were on the same team!" She giggled as she spoke, and without thinking, usurped Penelope's hands and shook them.

The nightgown shook too, comically enough.

"Oh, and um, I can make like... Jupiter scarves or something! They could have that big red dot thing that Jupiter has..." And that was all she really knew about jupiter. "Okay, um, I don't really know anything about Jupiter. But since we're a team, we can come up with something together!" Oh, there she went assuming things again. "Err, I'm sorry, I meant like, if we become a team... Well, you know." Instantly her enthusiasm died as she ruminated on her mistake.

"Um, I'd really like to meet your friends though. I haven't met a kitty since I became a senshi, so it'd be really fun to meet another one!" She wouldn't mind spoiling the cat with copious amounts of catnip, but she didn't know how appropriate that would be. "Oh, but before we continue, would you mind if I um, took a shower? I don't want to stink up your room." She was quite sure she'd filled the house with the pungent scent of fish, and Penelope's parents would come home wondering what she was attempting to make for dinner. The dog might also be avidly interested in her because of the smell... Maybe it was for the best that she paused their senshi conversation and took a moment to clean herself up.

It looked like Penelope already had that idea, considering she held a nightgown in her hands. It seemed a perfect fit for her, and it looked plenty comfortable given its cotton composition. "Um, where's the bathroom at?" She'd wander off on her own to find it, but given her dismal sense of direction, she'd likely end up lost and confused and possibly hiding in the kitchen cabinetry thinking it was some kind of water closet. That sounded like a disaster she'd prefer to avoid.

Penelope was ready to offer Sirsce a spot then and there, but... well, it wasn't her decision alone to make. She could act as a sponsor, though, as Kallichore and Europa had been for her. So, she smiled softly and assured her, "Well, we'll have to meet the others, but... you can always count on me, Sirsce."

"Oh, I'm sorry!" The flustered girl pointed towards the back of her room, to the door near the closet. She had gotten overwhelmed by Sirsce's enthusastic energy and caught up in the excitement... which had led her to neglecther guest! "If you go through there, I have a small bathroom--feel free to use anything you need! There should be towels in the cabinet, and I have plenty of soap and shampoo."

Penelope knelt down to scrach at her dog's ears. Now that Sirsce had been shown the way to the bathroom... perhaps she should get to contacting the other Jovians? She took up her phone, but bit her lip as she stared at it. The girl has always been discrete... and she would hate to contact them without her new friend's permission. So, she called out, "Sirsce, um... before you go... would you mind... if I told my other teammates about you? I mean, I won't tell them your real name or anything if you don't want me to but just... that Sailor Leda has been found? I know you wanted to meet them..."

But maybe she didn't want to do so right away and would feel overwhelmed. Penelope didn't want to push her anywhere she didn't want to go.

Quicksilver the Archangel

Sirsce was excited to finally receive a much-needed shower. "Thank you!" She exclaimed happily, offering a cheerful smile. The day was turning out surprisingly well, despite the events that led up to their meeting: she learned that there were senshi teams, and the identity of a fellow senshi, and that Penelope lived remarkably close, and that she could be a part of the senshi team of Jupiter moons! Oh, and that Leda is actually a moon of Jupiter. Prior to that day, she hadn't a clue where her moon was located. Then again, she didn't really know it was a moon. Maybe learning a bit of astronomy was a good idea.

Sirsce made her way toward the bathroom door, but stopped upon Penelope's request. "Mmm?" She half-turned to regard her new friend. "Oh! Go right ahead! Maybe they can contact me, and we could, um, meet up sometime!" She wasn't entirely sure why Penelope would ask and not simply inform the others of her discovery, but it was a truly kind gesture. "You can go ahead and tell them my real name too." She didn't understand what all the fuss was about with a secret identity. Isn't it better if people on her side of the fence knew who she was? "I think it'd be good if they knew, right?" Penelope would know better than her.

"Anyway, I'm gonna go shower!" She gave Penelope an energetic wave before disappearing into the bathroom.

Once she'd peeled off her rank clothes and thoroughly scrubbed herself down, she dressed in the billowing nightgown Penelope lent her and considered what to do with her usual attire. Should she throw it in the sink? It might stink up the sink, though. Maybe she should drape it over the shower rod? But then again, what if it mildewed or something? On second thought, she should probably just tuck the stinky wad under her arm and carry it home that way.

Finally she emerged from the bathroom, finally smelling clean and fresh. "Thanks so much, Penelope!" She'd desperately needed that shower. She was about to continue with the discussion of her new friend's teammates, when she received a text that set off a rather cheerful jingle on her phone.

Upon reading the text, she frowned. "Um, I'm really sorry. My mom is asking me where I am, and if I could pick up some milk on the way home." It seemed like an arbitrary request. "Hey, do you think, maybe, we could meet up again sometime? I'm gonna need to return your nightgown anyway... I'll make sure it's super clean, and like, try to make those little scarves or sashes too!" She was already eager to reunite with Penelope, and she hadn't even left the house yet.

I think this is going to be my closing post. I really enjoyed our RP and look forward to playing with you more!

The instant permission was given, Penelope felt a weight lifted off her shoulders. She would have gladly kept the secret, if Sirsce had called it such. While her new friend showered, the dark-haired girl used her Senshi cell phone to send out a text to her teammates to inform them of Sailor Leda's emergence. She couldn't wait to see the looks on their faces! It reminded her of how long it had been since she had seen Paris, Chris, Christa... or any of her Jovian friends. But that would change, and soon. She hoped.

Minotaur plopped down beside his owner and kept her company until Sirsce emerged again. She smiled at her, "You're very--" The text message sound cut off her pleasantries, but she took no offense. Penelope had been contacted by her mother several times to run off and get goods that she needed but had forgotten to retrieve herself.

The demure girl immediately replied, though her voice was somewhat shy, "Anytime you want to come... well, I might not be here, but you can call or text me. I'll be more than happy to help in anyway that I can... even if it's not much more than being able to offer another shower."

Thanks a lot Quick! You're quite eloquent, and I really enjoyed it too!

"Thank you so much, Penelope!" Now that she was clean, she finally gave the girl a warm hug, without a second thought to how the poor girl might react. "I'm so excited to meet your team, and maybe spend more time with you! I mean, I'm not um, very good at battling or anything, but um, I could totally try or something! But, I can only really fight youma... I don't like fighting people." She really needed to stop rambling; what if she was overstaying her welcome? The more time she spent here, the more time her mother had to wait as well.

She let go of Penelope soon afterward, and gave her an energetic wave. "I'll totally text you sometime! And, I'm gonna start working on those sashes!" Sirsce headed toward the door in a rush of excitement and exuberance. Finally she had a new senshi friend! Now she wouldn't have to feel quite so alone while she was out patrolling, and possibly getting chased away by a Negaverse agent. At least she had someone to call in her time of need! Between the two of them, they could defeat an enemy and send them running, right? Hopefully?

It didn't matter; all she needed was a friend right now, and she certainly received a wonderful one. Now, she thought, pausing on the porch of Penelope's house. Which was is the grocery store?

It seems her tribulations were not yet over.
