Ryan blinked for a moment, trying to figure what it was exactly he was saying. But then it clicked and became all too clear.
"Whoa stop--!" He jumped to his feet, putting his hand up to empathize his command. That was more information than he wanted to know.

Lex gave a shrug and chuckle, smiling coyly. "Well, you got your answer." He said in a nonchalant tone, lashing him a big smile. "Though, I'm not sure if it was entirely worth it. I'd rather not have someone freeze up every time they see me." His grin became a smaller one, and then faded into a slightly blank look. He wasn't overly fond of having people freak out around him - it stung no matter how you chose to look at it.
He stood up and took another swig of water to try and clear his head a bit. "I don't suppose you'll be punching me in the face for that too? I mean, I wouldn't take offense if you did. You two seem close."

Ryan made a face. "Yes, and I rather I hadn't." This was the sort of thing you kept between the ones involved. Ryan wanted to hear nothing of it.
"What? Why would I punch you for that?" He questioned, confused. "Unless you took an advantage of her or forced her. But then, you don't seem the type to do either." It was none of his business really and if he had known it was something like that, then he would never have asked about it. "Hmm.. well, you'd be close to someone after an experience like that one."
He didn't have to say which. Everyone on the island was likely to know which he spoke of.

Lex gave a little smirk that quickly faded as he brought up their banishment. Yes, he did know what the young blonde was talking about - anyone who didn't was very obviously just woken up. He clenched his jaw in an effort to bite back harsh words bubbling up about Caelius and his ways of dealing with people, letting his brief anger subside.
"One, don't ask questions if you're not prepared for the answers. Two, I would never do that. And three," Lex cleared his throat at that point, casting a wayward glance to the wall. "I've been punched by angry brothers before. I know you're not her brother, but...well, you know. Bonding."
He started to massage his own neck in slight nervousness. He wasn't like this - but he wasn't usually talking with someone who'd given him a solid punch in exchange for getting shot at.
"So, ah, what kind of things do you do to keep yourself entertained?"

"I get it, I get it!" He crossed his arms over his chest. It was a lesson he would do well to remember. "And no, I'm not going to punch you. She's not my sister, you are right, and she's old enough to look after herself." She was older than him on that note. "If it was something you both agreed to, then I've got nothing to say about it, nor any punches to offer you." Made him wonder how many times Lex met the 'brothers' though.
"Before or after the banishment?" He asked.

"Well, good to know." Lex replied, smile returning to his face. What he didn't tell Ryan was that every brother that had punched him in highschool got a good taste of Lex's own knuckles. He wouldn't punch Ryan - he told him he would allow another punch - but if they ever sparred, Lex might have put more effort than necessary into winning.
A small chuckle rumbled in his throat as she shook his head. "Before, of course."

Ryan gave it some thought. Though really there wasn't really much you could do to keep yourself entertained on the island. He wasn't the most sociable, so he didn't hang out with the other hunters like the others and usually he just kept to himself when he wasn't training. "Umm.. books and drawing mostly. When I can get them that is." He answered.
"What about you?" He paused, realizing what he was potentially walking into and quickly held up his hand again, instructing him to stop before he said anything. "And I don't mean sex."

Lex had to let out a small laugh at Ryan halting him even before he answered. Yes, Ryan, you hit the nail on the head - Lex passed the time by having sex. It was fun, pleasurable, and everyone won so long as he wasn't sleeping with someone else's girlfriend; which he'd managed to not do so far.
"Well, I enjoy baking - and reading." He grinned, stretching his hands behind his back. "What kind of books do you read?"

Ryan was half expecting a sarcastic answer.
"Wait wait wait! Let me guess--romance novels?" He asked, a grin on his face. "As for me, whatever can catch and hold my attention long enough to read it, I guess. It has to have a good story." Which meant nothing like history books or stuff Deus might have in their libraries.

Lex gave a good laugh at Ryan's retort - romance novels. He hadn't read one since Pride and Prejudice, and that was for school. Still, the joke was appreciated, and a real smile was earned.
"Actually, I'm a big fan of murder mysteries and adventure novels." He answered, shaking his head in amusement. "Right now I'm borrowing The Hobbit from, ah...Kostya? I have to return it once I'm done, but I'd recommend getting it. I'll text you when it's back in his Library."
