The best part of being a smith was the joy on her customers' faces. Annelie's was much the same, and the woman felt a sense of pride and joy grow up inside her. As the metal began to melt, she was already setting up the smallest mold she had. It shouldn't take too much of that ingot to do it....And the rest would go in the other mold she had sitting out to be reused. Setting the necklace aside, it was time. The metal poured without much issue. A long, thin strand in the mold that was left to sit, the rest going in the much bulkier mold. Now...They waited. "It needs to cool, I don't want to temper the metal too badly by putting it in water right away. Makes it more likely to snap." She explained, sitting down again. "Entertaining a highborn? Sounds very important. I'll make sure she won't regret sending you out here." Having quick customers from high places meant perhaps getting repeat business. Rosalie wanted to ensure that. Who knows when she might get this opportunity next? "Hmm..." She gave the necklace another good look, then got up again and went through some of her backstock. No, no, not that one either....Ah, there. She pulled out a slightly larger stone from her collection, bringing it over to see how it compared. It wasn't purple, no, but perhaps an opal would look nice as a center drop? Rosalie sure thought so. "I'll make sure she won't regret it at all. What do you think?" She waved Annelie over to look.

A chuckle escaped, albeit it was more to herself than towards Rosalie. The smith didn't know her employer, which was really all the better. That being said, the woman practically entertained every 'highborn' she could get her grubby hands on, so really the importance of it all was only seen in Annie's employer's eyes. But no matter, the whole remark about not regretting anything sat just fine with the young woman.
Annelie finished her tea as Rosalie got up to search for a stone, and was setting the tea and saucer down by the time she was summoned over. "Ah ha, I have faith.. otherwise it'll be both our heads," she chuckled as she got up. She gave Aelius an apologetic pet on the nose.
"Ooh goodness me!' came the quiet exclamation (she didn't know why she kept quiet... perhaps it was the delicateness of the work being done that made her think one had to use softer-than-inside-voices). "I think it looks quite fabulous!" Yes. She nodded. "And as far as my employer will think, as long as it looks expensive, she'll like it." Annie hoped that her words didn't get taken in poor taste.
"Perhaps she'll have to break more of her things, if they all get put back together this prettily." She dropped her voice, "lord knows she has some things that need it..."

"Ah, I'm not done yet! I have to actually get that added on. Shouldn't be too terribly difficult. Just need to let my mold cool, so I can get on to making the links..." Rosalie explained, pouring Annelie more tea, just in case. Soon enough though, only after finishing her own cup, she went back to work. On went the gloves, and the metal strand came out of the mold without much issue. The clang of metal resonated throughout the residence for quite a while, the smith having to make about 50 of the little circles, still leaving plenty for the newest stone. It wasn't until she had the new links made that she grabbed the stone, and began to make a mount for it, then drizzling spirals of gold over the stone. It would work very well. She certainly would be praised for this one... After it cooled again, she got out far more delicate tools and went to linking them together. "Shouldn't take too much longer...Sorry if you're being bored by all this..." The woman murmured, completely focused on her work. "I'll happily fix up more of her things for a lower price than most would give. It's just good to have the business."

"Right, right." Annelie nodded her head and took a couple steps back, giving Rosalie room. The second cup of tea was accepted graciously, though she didn't drink it as eagerly as the first. Instead it became a bit of a hand warmer, cradling it as she peeked here and there from her further back vantage point. It was all out of curiosity sake, rather than her attempting to monitor anything... though the sudden loud banging made her twitch and jump. She moved back to where her previous seat had been. And Aelius. "Not to worry," she called back to the smith. With a tea-warmed hand she petted the buck once more behind the ears. "It's all quite fascinating, and at this point I'm just glad I found you at all! I will definitely tell my employer of you... I think she'll be quite pleased." Yes, definitely. Even if the lady wasn't, or didn't care, Annelie had really already made up her mind that Rosalie's shop would always be first on her list when it came to getting things fixed. The other shops she pandered at could go fall off a cliff. "Thank you again, by the way!"

"Oh it's not a problem...Just a little bit more and it'll be done, sorry for making you wait...." Rosalie replied, not even turning to look. Right now, she was trying to finish it up, strengthen the bonds so that there was next to no risk of it falling apart again. The opal fit in beautifully as a centerpiece, and was blended in, like it was always meant to be there. Aelius was much enjoying the warmer pets, closing his eyes as he let Annelie do as she wished. This was becoming his favorite new past time, he thought. Pats and tea were wonderful, especially by a new friend! But it wasn't long until his chosen had finished her work, holding up the newly reunited strands. "Does it look okay?" The woman asked, bringing it over to show her.

Annelie merely nodded, continuing her petting and patting of Aelius. Small thoughts about the wardwood, wolves, and Guardians began to creep back into her mind as she stared at the content deer. They were going to be the saviors of Sunderland? Protect the weak and small from devils no one's seen in over a hundred years? .... -
-- OH LOOK, NECKLACE.
She straightened when Rosalie came over, large eyes doubling as she peered -- and then fully engrossed herself -- at looking at the newly redone necklace. She looked up at Rosalie and almost clapped her hands before remembering she was holding a teacup. "It's absolutely gorgeous, Rosalie! Splendid! Superb! My employer will love it!"
Eyes gazed down again at the piece of jewelry. ...She wished she had nice things. That damn lady better love it!
"You're work is marvelous."

"I hope she loves it!" Rosalie laughed, watching Annelie praise her. It hadn't taken too much work, not that hard to restore jewelery back like this. If it had been a harder color to match, however, she would have had some trouble... Aelius stayed right where he had been, though was missing his pats immensely. He eventually made his way over, eying the piece of jewelry with a fine eye. Oh yes, beautiful. He made sure his chosen knew it too, sending her messages of pure glee and 'ooh shiny'. She simply laughed a little, patting him on his head. "Pah, this is just simple...." She set it back down. "If your employer wishes so, I wouldn't mind making her a few more pieces. She doesn't need to break any more if she pleases." Rosalie would happily take on another commission. Gladly. Money earned was money for books.
