And a-bouncing Cartwright did go, and sprinting in for another lariat he did come! His arm smacked against Shanahan with brutal force, this time sending the veteran back another couple of steps; but he didn't fall!
"Is that all you got, boy-o!?" He roared in reply as he smacked his arm against his own chest, practically mocking him with the gesture! "One more shot, let's see it!"

Maybe this man is Godly after all! Despite his best lariats, Matt still stands there, teasing him at this point about it! Cartwright looks enraged!
Cartwright: "GAWD DAMN IT! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?! ONE MORE COMING UP!"
Fuelled by anger, he takes another run, but deviously aims a low dropkick to Matt's knees!

The God of Punks knew that sooner or later, he wasn't going to get a clothesline. Perhaps he should tried to strike back against one of them though, because he hadn't anticipated the dropkick whatsoever! A grunt echoed through the arena as Cartwright's surprise dropkick hit Matt's left knee, causing him to fall back to a kneeling position!

Cartwright smirks as Matt begins to get chopped down! He may not be off both of his feet but he's certainly closer, as much as the crowd didn't appreciate how Cartwright got there! With Matt in his kneeling position, Cartwright takes one more run at Matt, attempting the mighty Shining Wizard to his face!

Backed up near the ropes and left with little area to back up to, Shanahan was running out of time quickly as Cartwright came in for a devastating Shining Wizard! Matt looked up right as his opponent's feet left the ground for the move, and knew exactly how to avoid it!
... If he had looked up sooner; hindsight is 20/20 after all. Cartwright's knee smacked right into The God of Punk's face, sending him onto his back! Quick to react, Matt attempted to roll out of the ring to recover, his hands holding onto his damaged face!

Unluckily for Cartwright, Matt is smart enough to keep himself from being pinned by rolling out of the ring, much to his frustration! It's OK though, he lets Matt have some space so that he can charge at him with a Suicide Dive!

((I am so sorry Cartwright, this has been a hectic week. D: )) A breath of fresh air was all that The Punk was going to get it seemed. Right as he caught his breath and shook the cobwebs from his head, he looked up just in time to catch Cartwright's Suicide Dive! His arms wrapped around the man just as he made impact, causing Matt to fall onto his back and release his opponent with a roar of pain to follow it!

((No worries at all! Get that RL shizzle sorted! xd )) The crowd roars with a mixed reaction as Cartwright stands and poses for the fans, lifting his arms up high in victory at the success of his dive. He lifts Matt up and tries to roll him back in for a pin attempt!

Shanahan was to his feet and rolled into the ring, the pain racking his body to an extent that it was hard for him to fight back at the moment. But regardless of this, as soon as he heard the ref's voice break through the cobwebs in his head, he shot up his shoulder to break the pin! Just a second away from losi ng the match!

Cartwright is impressed that shanahan survived the pin! However he is sensing that the end is near! He climbs the nearest turnbuckle and attempts his mighty Cartwright Crush leg drop!

The God of Punks was down and in pain; that Suicide Dive had taken a toll on his back, that's for sure. But the jeers of the fans reached his ears just in the nick of time! His eyes opened to see an airborne Cartwright, giving him just enough time to roll out of the way and leave the fellow veteran nothing but mat to land on!

Cartwright lands on his arse and the crowd loves it! The look on Cartwright's face says it all! That was a hard landing!

The God of Punks takes a deep breath after narrowly dodging what would've been a brutal leg drop! With a sigh, he rolled onto his stomach and pushed himself to his feet, not wasting a second to break out into a sprint towards the ropes. He threw himself at them for the rebound, the ropes sending him back in Cartwright's direction at nearly double the speed! His feet shot out as he attempted to land a rocketing dropkick to the opponent's face, hoping he was still in a sitting position!
