Sitting on the bed Mitsu had placed the doink knife in her lap, poking at it but not enough to make any noise. The sound she was focused on was her reaper opening up one of the pudding cups, her eyes trailing up toward him as he started to eat it. Now he was taunting her, trying to entice her into action. Giving him a bit of a glare to note her displeasure she looked away, tossing the doink knife on the bed to get it away from herself. She tried to keep up looking mad but soon her ears drooped her expression looking a little disheartened.
"I...I can't help it. My body just reacts before I can think." She tried to explain. It was a crippling fear, more so than her fear of heights. She could feel herself getting weak almost like it was a trained response. Her legs would grow wobbly, her chest suddenly too tight to breath, and her mind went into a frenzy. It was probably saying something that she was managing to sit in the room while he had his blades summoned.

Frowning lightly at that explanation, Shun looked at his knives, then to Mitsu. He hadn't really had a crippling fear before so he wasn't sure how else to go about this. For now, he just took another slow bite out of the pudding. He could see that she was looking mad at him, but it had soon shifted to something sadder.
"Then we need to train your body to not react this way," he said. Granted, he wasn't entirely sure how to go about that. For now he decided it was best to just leave his daggers summoned, but untouched. Let her get accustomed to them in the room, then step from there.
Maybe it'd work.
Well maybe he could tend to them some as well.

Mitsu wasn't sure what to say but she knew she wasn't going to like this new training Shun had in mind. Frowning she began to fidget with her skirt, her eyes focused on the floor in front of her toes. That nervous tension was starting to creep over her and she wasn't sure what to do since Shun was determined to sit by her pudding and prevent her from having any.
Looking up again in his direction she shifted restlessly on the bed. Her eyes kept darting between him, the pudding cup in his hands, and this daggers blocking her for her other treats. When she looked up at Shun again, she attempted to give him sad eyes accompanied with a small whimper. She wanted her pudding.

As silence fell upon them, Shun just continued to slowly eat the pudding. It at least wasn't something he disliked. Or this would be a little harder on his part. If they were cookies... well. It was just a good thing they weren't.
Leaning back in his chair, he watched the lycan, noticing that she was now employing the sad puppy strategy on him. And for a moment, he was taken off guard. Gritting his teeth for a moment, he stared into her eyes, but then shook his head. No. He couldn't give in here.
"If you want some pudding, you will have to come here and get one," he said before taking another spoonful into his mouth, "By the way, good choice. These are pretty tasty."
He waited a moment, then looked her over. She was still tense from what he could tell.
"Take in some deep breaths. Relax yourself. You're safe here with me," he said softly. He wasn't going to lash out at her for getting close to the pudding if she decided to chance it. No, instead he had praise in mind. Positive reinforcement. That.. was supposed to work right?
He wasn't too sure. He never really received that for himself.

He seemed to be resisting the puppy eyes for now but Mitsu only upped her game by whimpering again, this time coupling sad eyes with a slightly glassy or watery look. Shun only aided her really by still teasing her with the pudding.
She did as instructed though, taking in a deep breath and trying to calm. After a bit more fidgeting she finally stood. Was she actually going to try?
Her first step looked promising, it was taking her in his direction but the second step began to waver. As her focus went back to the blades it was apparent her knees were going weak and she was having trouble standing. The next step had her stumbling and she frantically moved back toward the bed, pacing like an animal in a cage. She couldn't do it. She couldn't get close. It was too much to handle.
Her hands began to tug and pull at her hair, her eyes looking distant as she continued to move in a small circle. Breathing was already becoming difficult but she hadn't quite reached the point of hyperventilating. All she had managed to do was spook herself.

Shun's resolved wavered as he saw her eyes become glassy, and heard that whimper. No. He had to stay firm. Stay his ground. He was not going to desummon his daggers. Not now. Nope. He shifted his focus by finishing off the pudding cup.
What caught his attention again was her standing up. He had a subtle hopeful glint in his eye as he watched her, but it was quickly dashed as she stumbled and scrambled back. She was breathing heavily and Shun knew something wasn't right. Putting the cup and spoon down, he rushed over and placed his hands onto her shoulders.
"Mitsu. Mitsu," he said trying to get her attention. He was also trying to gently pull her hands away from her head. In the mean time, he was speaking softly, trying to get her to snap out of it, "Calm down. The daggers aren't going to hurt you. Don't think about what blades have done to you. These daggers are mine. I would never do that to you... Blades are just a tool.. the hunters are at fault... "

She didn't look like her mind was with them in the room as Shun approached. Mitsu was still intent on pacing, only brought to a halt as her reaper grabbed her shoulders.
"I asked them to stop." She mumbled, crimson eyes looking fearful suddenly. "I begged them." The lycan shook her head as Shun pulled her hands away, her fingers releasing the bits of hair she had grabbed. "They wouldn't listen." Scraps....She had actually gone a while without giving that word any real thought, but like a sickness it crept up on her. It was something that would never truly go away. That word was as much a part of her as the scars were.
Mitsu tried to grasp what Shun was telling her, trying to wrap her mind around it and cling for all she was worth. She knew Shun would never do that to her. He wasn't that cruel. His daggers posed her no threat but she just couldn't seem them without remembering. Call it irrational but she was afraid.

"Of course they wouldn't listen," Shun hissed as he held onto her. She was filled with fear. This issue with the daggers was worse than he originally thought... but that only made it that more important to break it. He was going to find a way...
"The hunters are nothing but a bunch of bastards. They would never truly do anything to really benefit one of us," he said lowly, "Don't think about what they've said to you. What they've done to you. You're alive. You're here with me... someone who thrives because of you. Someone who... who.."
The Reaper took her left hand with his own and lifted them up so that both rings could be seen. Nothing was said. He didn't know how to word it but he hoped that she got what he was trying to convey there.
He released her, then looked back towards his daggers on the pudding. No. He couldn't dismiss them just yet. Instead, he walked over towards the box with the massage oils, and picked out the bottle for stress relief.
"Have a seat on the bed, please" he requested softly.

Mitsu looked so lost, her eyes unable to focus until Shun lifted their hands bringing their rings into view. As soon as she saw them that was her primary focus, looking at them so intently. She began to calm down a degree after that, her arms wrapping around herself as Shun released her and headed toward the box of massage oils.
With a small nod Mitsu stiffly made her way to the bed and half fell half sat down. She didn't think it would be so hard to get passed something. That something could bother her this badly but apparently it could. Just when she thought her fear of heights was going to be her biggest problem.

The rings seemed to have calmed her down a little. Shun was thankful for that. He didn't like to see her so filled with fear. It was something he might need to work with. To give her some good things to think about to try and replace those horrid thoughts.
Thinking for a little more, he looked around for the music box he had given her, and wound it up. The soft tune that it held soon filled the air as he opened it and set it down next to the girl.
Not saying another word for now, he sat down besides her, applying the stress relief oil to his hands. He needed her to relax. That was the most important thing right now if he wanted her to be able to get over this fear he figured. Letting out a breath, he reached under her shirt so that he could start rubbing her back directly.

Her eyes drifted to the music box as he set it beside her. The music made her ears lift a little her arms unwinding from around herself so that she could pick up the music box and set it in her lap. Her eyes watched the little wolf move around on the inside as the music played, using it as another point of focus as she tried to put a lid on her panic attack. She had been so good at keeping things under control.
She sat still as Shun's hands made their way under her shirt to rub her back, the light scent of lavender and vanilla touching her nose. At first she tensed at the initial contact, the muscles in her back already pulled tight but soon she relaxed and let him work. She remained silent for the time being to ashamed to open her mouth and say anything.

Shun still remained silent, pausing as he felt her tense at his touch. Frowning lightly, he let out a soft sigh and just tried to ease her. His movements were slow, not wanting to startle her or rile her up. No, he just wanted her to relax. He just hoped that this stress relief oil would actually help a little.
The Reaper sought out the tighter areas of her back, trying to get them to slacken.
"If you have anything to say... feel free to let it out. Release it.." he whispered.

Instead of using her actual words she decided to sign instead. 'I don't have anything to say.' Though it would probably have been easier to see if Shun was in front of her and not behind her.
Leaning forward a little she relaxed against his touch, the smell of the massage oil coupled with his touch seemed to be easing her back down. Holding the music box close she quietly listened to it letting the music sooth her as well. Music was something that had been absent to her while she was on the hunter's island. She had only gotten the occasional bleep of noise through the mic from the tech that apparently liked to play games.

She had signed something, but Shun didn't quite catch all of it, being behind her and all. But, it was just one phrase, so he didn't ask her to repeat it. Instead, he just heaved a sigh and continued to rub her back gently. It did feel like she was slowly relaxing, which was good.
Watching her, he was still trying to think of other ways he could get her to relax. It looked like she was focusing on the music box.
He couldn't really play his guitar while he was rubbing her back like this. Though a little uncertain, he decided to give this a shot. The Reaper took in a breath, then began to softly hum along with the tune of the music box.

The music box had been her main focus until she heard her reaper's voice humming a soft tune along with the melody. Her ears perked further and she tilted her head back toward him so that she could listen to him and the music box at the same time.
It didn't take long before she was drifting back in his direction, trying to lean against his chest so that she could relax. Once she was settled she closed her eyes, listening to him more than anything else. She liked feeling the gentle vibration of his chest as he hummed. Something about it just soothed her within.
