”Okay, a photographer is fine, but don’t go crazy on it,” he requested, feeling a little put off that Paris was too distracted to notice him trying to give him some kind of comfort. As much as he was sure Nana would like the wedding in Belgium, he knew that wasn’t going to happen. Nor would he let it happen.

“We’ll get you a list... So... a friday at the end of March, and it’ll be in Destiny City, preferably at the house if we can manage it....” They could always put up a big tent like they did in that one movie... Father of the Bride or something. But this time there was no bride, and Paris’s father would only be with them in spirit and memory...

Feeling as though they’d discussed enough of the wedding for one day, Chris maneuvered himself away from Paris so he could stand, pulling Paris to his feet behind him.

“Where are you going, Pumpkin?” his mother asked, sounding a bit guilty for loading them up with so much to think about. He knew they were only trying to help, but at the moment he just wanted to enjoy the rest of his time out of Destiny City.

“We’re going to discuss the wedding alone,” was his excuse, but he didn’t make any eye contact as he spoke, leaving Michael to snort in amusement, and Chris to flush lightly. It seemed to work for his mother though, as she made no attempt to stop them. A few hours hiding away from the rest of the family seemed like a good idea to him, especially if he could get Paris to stop freaking out about every little thing.

No matter what they talked about now, they were definitely getting married. Hopefully sooner than later, because who knew when the next life or death situation would pop up for them...
