Roch caught the hesitation. "An' Halloween," he said. "Are y'plannin' on findin' a better place for your base sooner or later, or do y'think it'd be easier to... take over?" he asked. He could honestly see them doing it. That would suck.

"There's a better word for it?" Roch asked. "Man, y'might notta noticed, but I grew up in a gang--practically everything I learned had a scheming aspect to it, most of it was flat out illegal," he added dryly. "And I don't know, Halloween's a big place--maybe there's some new islands somewhere, or someplace... larger than that plot of land y'got stuck on by the boogies."

He didn't know anything about their new lair. He was uninitiated, regardless of the brand on his shoulder.

Roch nodded. "Makes sense," he said. He looked at Invi for a moment. He wasn't sure they they wouldn't try and take over Halloween sometime in the future, still. He noticed there'd been no straight out reply to it. But then again, he'd never claimed to trust the horsemen. But he trusted them more than he trusted the hunters.

"I figure I've taken up enough time, now," Roch said, stopping recording. "Thanks for your time," he added, nodding slightly. "I might need a few other people's inputs... think I'll go talk t'Moira next," he said, slipping the phone into his vest. "Good luck with rebuilding and everything."

Roch nodded again and headed off the land. He figured it was a good start--going to one of the lead horsemen. But this probably wouldn't be enough to convince Amphi.

Hell, it wasn't exactly enough to convince him of anything he hadn't already figured.
