Kesi nodded her thanks to her sister as she laid near the stallion, keeping watch of his now steady breathing, continuing to thank Ra for his kindness.

Rameses took the bandages to the place where his daughter had instructed him to go. He approached cautiously, watching from a distance and listening to his heart to what Ra told him to do. Finally, he came upon Kesi and lay down on the other side of the warrior, laying the medicine soaked bandages onto the male's burns. The male seemed familiar, though Rameses could not identify him through all the burns and scars.

"Thank you father. I found him just outside of the herd lands and something within me told me to help him. That was confirmed when Ra gave his blessing and told us that he would live. I...I don't know to whom he is aligned with father...." Kesi said somewhat worriedly, she hoped she didn't bring a member of the six into their herd.

Rameses nodded and lightly nuzzled his daughter, lovingly. "It is no matter, We will cross that bridge when the time comes. Perhaps there is hope for him. Ra would not give his blessing if this male would harm us." He spoke calmly. He lightly nuzzled his daughter again before turning and going back to their home, knowing she would call to him or Bastett if she needed help.
TIMESKIP
A few days later, Abdul was healing nicely. He'd been out of it for the duration of his stay and had only remembered the blue and white angel that had rescued him and prayed over him. His bright green eyes cracked open as he looked around, sitting up off of his side. He didn't see her anywhere so he looked at his own wounds, which were nasty looking and scabbed over, mostly hiding his moss colored hide.

In the days that followed, Kesi quietly kept bringing the stallion anything he needed, water, food, whatever it was to get him well. She had to change his bandages out often, and it made her kind of squeemish but she dealt with it. It was on the fourth day that she awoke early to run her patrols so that she could get back to her warrior, she ran them quickly and made sure to stop and get water before heading back to where she had been staying with him. Once she got close, she noticed that he was sitting up straighter and not laying down. Freezing, she stood still. What does she do? Was this when she would find out if he was a threat to them or not? And how would she find out? Should she approach him? Shaking her nerves out, she walked slowly and around him in a circle, keeping her distance until she was within his line of sight. Once she was, she froze again, waiting and watching.

Abdul snorted in disgust as his own appearance, glad that his sister was not around to see him like this. He heard footsteps around him and looked up and saw the beautiful female that'd been taking care of him. He smiled brightly when he saw her. "My beautiful guardian angel!" He exclaimed happily.

His sudden outburst startled her a little as her tail flicked with indecision. The smile on his face and the tone of his voice didn't indicate that he might mean her harm. With a deep breath, she took a few steps forward before bowing her head. "I am glad to see that you are conscious. It has been almost a weeks time since I found you on my patrol. Please, what is your name?" She purposefully didn't offer her name first even though she knew it was rude.

Abdul was silent, his face falling and his gaze going towards the ground as he added up the time since his fight with the flaming beast that had nearly killed him. He had wandered about for several days before finally collapsing, so it must have been at least two weeks since he'd been in the south. He closed his eyes and sighed, thinking of the blue male that had accompanied him. He hoped the young one was okay, but he really didn't know where he could find out. Finally he looked back up so he could answer the beautiful angel's question. "I am called Abdul, my precious angel. I cannot thank you enough for watching over me. My life is yours." He dipped his head in the best bow he could manage, seeing as how he was still unable to stand. "Can I inquire as to your name, Angel? And also perhaps in whose land I am residing now?" He asked with a gracious smile. She really was a beautiful creature, even more beautiful than the image of her that had plagued his restless dreams. He studied her closely before his eyes landed on the serpiente band around her back leg that seemed familiar, almost like his old friend Rameses. Rameses! Perhaps he could find the male when he was better, and ask for help with a raid against the South, or atleast against that firey male that had nearly killed him.

A slight smile played on her lips at his regal-ness. Kesi could tell that he was still in quite a bit of pain because he could still not stand. "It's a pleasure to finally know your name, Abdul. I am Kesi. Daughter of Tylion the fallen and of Rameses, and of course, of Ra. You are in the Equi'Amiticia Herd Lands, led by Dark Tide after his brother Dark Ion the fallen's death. We are on the outskirts though, since I...um..." She didn't quite know how to go about asking him of what alignment he was but figured she should just ask outright. "We didn't take you further into the herd lands because we didn't want to take a serpent into a hawks nest." A dip of her head in embarrassment as she started thinking. "I have watched over you because I believe that everyone deserves a second chance, even Ra gave his blessing. But I cannot continue caring for you if you are aligned with the Six. My family means too much to me." Kesi stood there, looking strong and defiant, ready to fight if need be just like her father.

Abdul's mind spun. This was the daughter of his friend, and once travel companion Rameses? No wonder she was so beautiful, the old Pharoah had done himself well. "Wait.. Rameses?" A grin lit upon his face as he struggled to his hooves despite the pain. "Where is that old boy? I know him! He and I used to travel together!" He exclaimed, just as he began to sway from his legs wanting to buckle underneath him. That was when her other words sank into his head, and he dipped it in respect for her. "You have nothing to fear from me, dear Angel. I am a warrior of the King's lands, even if I have no Chosen." He said, looking straight into her eyes. "Your father would be able to attest to that, dear lady."

Kesi's mouth gaped open as the stallion Abdul claimed to know her father, how could that be? But the unwell stallion tried to stand, and succeeded, but was subject to swaying. Though, as soon as she was sure he wasn't of the evil alignment, she rushed over to his side to support him. "Please, Abdul, take it easy. I can get my father here soon. Just please relax, you are not healed completely yet. I will call my sister and she can get my father for us." Once his swaying had slowed and Kesi was sure he wasn't going to fall over the minute she moved, she took a few steps away, "Wait here." Running to one of the closest hills, Kes stood atop one and scanned the horizon. "Bastett!" She shouted into the open plain. The mare didn't see her sister, but knew that she was somewhere where she would be able to hear her call.

Abdul sighed and lay back down, finding it extremely difficult to remain in an upright position at the moment. Oh what he wouldn't give to be in his home barn at Aila's with cold rags placed over these scorch marks. But... he was glad to be here. At least he was safe, and he had a guardian angel watching over him, who just happened to be one of the most beautiful creatures he had ever seen.
Bastett had been just about to chomp into a delicately delicious morsel that she had brought out in a bag with her, when she heard her sister's seemingly distressed call. Bastett looked to where the voice had come from, and was about to head that way, before she turned, lapped up the whole apple in her mouth and began chewing, and then began running towards her sister so as to help. "Doff ju ee 'omfin?" She got out over the apple bits in her mouth as she continued to chew.

Kesi cracked up at her sister with her mouth full of apple and could resist laughing. "He's awake! And his name is Abdul and he says he knows father! Do you think you could go get him for me?" She asked of her sister, knowing she would probably do it since she knew how much it meant to Kesi.

Bastett swallowed her apple and gave a small nod, rolling her eyes slightly. "I'll be back." She said before running off. It wasnt long before she returned with Rameses, who immediately went to the downed stallion.
Rameses stopped just before Abdul and peered at him curiously. "Well if my eyes never deceive me. It is you, Abdul!"
Abdul grinned up at his old friend. "OF course its me, ye old Egyptian sand bag. Did you really think I would be gone forever?" He chuckled, wincing in pain at the motion.

Kesi smiled as she heard the tone in her father's voice and she knew everything was going to be okay.
TIME SKIP
Time had passed and Abdul got better day by day, he was even able to walk for prolonged periods of time now. Of course, he wasn't well enough to run her patrols with her, so she still had to do those alone. She ran a little but faster and longer than she normally did to compensate for her recent slacking. Kesi's coat had a good sheen of sweat over it as she returned to the small meadow she and Abdul always met at, the very same one she had nursed him back to health.
