"Im glad I didn't offend you with the nickname.", she said with a gleeful smile. She paused for a moment at the nickname he just gave her and she saw the sly expression on his face and she bent her head down and playfully nudged his head before continuing. "Aru.....I like it, my name is short so I've not been given a nickname. Thank you Ari." She couldn't help but smile more and more, it was peculiar how comfortable she was with him after one meeting. She knew it wasn't implausible but she just didn't think strong bonds and friendship really did happen like this, or at least not for her.

She shook the thoughts out of her head as their was nothing to do about it, not that she wanted to. It is what it is, she believed in fate and destiny and she wouldn't try to justify things such as this. She brought her back up and looked around the forest floor to see if there were any flowers hiding that she could show Eri. She circled around really examining the forest and then she saw it....."Hang on Ill be right back.", she trotted off a short ways where a tree stood that had a melted patch next to it, the light broke through the trees just enough. She had found a pretty pink cluster of small flowers, she picked some of them and trotted back to Eri.

When she got back she placed the flowers between them and smiled with a bright glow around her. "I found some, there will be more in the clearing but now you have a taste of what's to come. If I remember correctly this is called Luculia. They flower all year round and have a very sweet aroma, and they are very pretty.", when she finished speaking she picked up some of the flowers and tucked a few behind Eri's ear. "Now you have a gift for your mother, Im sure she will love it."

Eri stumbled a bit as she nudged him, not having expected it. He was worried for a moment she'd catch herself on his horns, but then realized that they both had pointy horns to worry about poking somebody else with and she was probably aware of the danger, unlike his mother, whose horn was blunted and less of a threat. "You're welcome, Aru." he said smiling up at her. She was so amazing, he decided. He wondered if it was normal to feel like he wanted to spend every day with her. Relationships didn't seem to be his mother's strong suit, so he wasn't sure what she'd think on the subject.

He nodded as she trotted off and took a few steps out to watch her as she moved towards a tree. He wasn't exactly sure what she was doing, not being able to see around her, but was intrigued when she came back with the bright pink cluster. He leaned down and sniffed at them curiously as she explained what they were. He sneezed once and straightened up wrinkling his nose, from the unfamiliar scent. Not that it was unpleasant, it was very nice like she said, it was just different from the normal smells he was used too. "They are pretty. These Luca--Luce...Luculia." he said with a nod having worked out the name and recovered enough to not feel like he was going to sneeze. He tilted his head slightly and watched her place a spray of flowers behind his ear. He bit his lip worried, but again figured she was used to pointy danger, and forced himself to relax knowing that it would be trouble if he jerked away from her. "I hope so." he said considering it.

She smiled finding her new nickname to fit her very well and it was cute coming from Eri. When she brought the flowers and sat them down she smiled brightly as he looked at them closely and smelled them. She couldn't help but giggle a little at his reaction to what was an unusual smell. She realized it may have been a little too strong of a smell for his first, but he soon recovered. She saw his worried look as she placed the flowers behind his ears, he was worried she would hurt her. She bent her head down and spoke calmly in a nurturing tone, "Don't worry Eri, you wont hurt me. Try and relax and accept they are a part of you. Dont let your worry and fear rule you. As you grow you will be able to understand and be able to trust yourself. I promise Ill be there to help you, if you need anything and I mean ANYthing Ill be here. I can be your escape when things get rough." After speaking she gently nudged his cheek and found herself blushing. She brushed it off and continued to smile down at him and quickly glanced at the sky. "Its starting to get late, Im sure your mom is looking for you. You dont need to let her worry. I've got to head back, I have a lesson with my mother I must do. I can walk you home if you like."

Eri nodded carefully not wanting to dislodge the flowers. "Oh, I figured that one out." he said. "Your horn is pointy, so I figured you already knew how to be careful around pointy stuff, and I knew if I jerked my head away it would have been way worse." he finished. He managed to nudge her back quickly before she pulled away, leaving him with a warm tingly sensation all over.

He sighed a bit when she pointed out the time. He would much rather stay here forever with Aruhe, but she was right. He absently wondered if mares were always right. It seemed to be a theme of sorts. "No, I can walk myself home." he said reluctantly. Even though it would have been better than wonderful to spend more time with the unicorn, he didn't know how his mother would feel about him letting someone know where they were living right now. "Promise me we'll see each other again, though." he said eyes wide with hope. "And how will I find you again? Or will you find me? When can we go look at the stars?" he rushed out quickly, before adding. "I hope you're lesson is fun, anyway."

Sbe smiled at his words bu though to herself for a moment...she had never really thought about hurting others with his horn she felt she had so reason to worry. When Eri nudged her back quickly as she pulled away she found it to be very cute and could feel her face getting read. Trying to make it show she did a happy chuckle. "You are indeed wise, even if you dont see it yet, and one day you shall capture many young hearts Im sure." She said chuckling as if she knew something he didn't.

She could see the disappointment show on his face when she spoke of him returning him and honestly she returned the sentiment, not trying to had it at all. She felt strangely connected to the this young foal and knew that would be th greatest of friends through all their lives. She nodded when he sad he could walk home by himself but then added a warning of sorts. "Be careful out her Eri there are many dangers around....though I have a a felling your more the capable to take care of yourself. Sometimes I feel as I may need someone to protect me and love me, but I trusts the stars will guide me to him as the moon did for my mother." As she started to leave and hearing Eri's last words she turned and smiled again at his questions.

"I promise from the depths of my soul that was shall both go to the clearing at sunset on the next full moon where the plats shine the brightest. I promise, its a date. And as for location how about meeting you right here where we met...if that works for you. The clearing should be thawed out fairly well by then...and its a date,", she starting trotting off the way she cam, but after just a few feet she looked back and exclaimed one more thing. "Also My mtoher is the best teach everything I know is from. Maybe one day you coulld join for a day. Id really love it if you. Dont forget to check with mother on these things first. Ill see your very soon." And with that she trotted off hooves and eyes groming as bright as ever and she oulcnt wait until there next outing together.[/coro]

"I know." he said about the forest being dangerous. "I've been told all about skinwalkers and stuff." he listened quietly as she went on about the need for someone to protect her, even love her. Although he couldn't imagine anyone not loving Aruhe, she was perfect in his eyes. He kept quiet letting his her words tumble about in his head. It was again one of those things that was above him. He gave a glance back at his wings and raised one just a touch. Yes, he'd learn to use these wings. He'd use them to protect Aruhe. No one was going to touch His new friend if he had anything to say about it.

He turned back as she started to speak again in answer to his questions about meeting again. "A date!" he said eagerly nodding his head. "And I will!" he called watching her leave. He shivered slightly in excitement. He wasn't exactly sure what a date was, but it sounded serious. He stood just a few more seconds watching her retreating form until her hooves were lost from view and he couldn't follow her anymore due to the shadows. He then turned and trotted off towards the clearing he shared with his mother. A fluttery feeling spread through out his body, and despite the growing cold as the sun sank lower in the sky, he felt as warm as a summer's day.
