She did not move to attack as Jake began to retreat, her darkened eyes simply following him until he disappeared. When the hunter was out of sight, the baku emitted a heavy sigh, lifting her hands and staring down at them.
Although a small, small piece of her was a little fearful at the sudden change that had come over her, the vast majority was pleased by this newfound surge of energy. She felt strong--really strong. Strong enough to take on anyone who tried to harm her friends. Letting out a disjointed little chuckle, she squeezed her hands into fists.
Oh, yes. She was going to enjoy this indeed.

When he was a good distance away, he pulled out the pendant hidden in his coat.
He couldn't believe he lost ANOTHER battle again, but at least he had managed to get some information. That was the reason why he came here, wasn't it?
Whispering the words "Deus Ex", he glanced back at the Haunted House as he portaled out.
