Kids These Days
It was always quite the chore to try to get the berries that he loved, the delicious sour ones that grew here and there in the forest, on delicate bushes. He had to use his tongue to lick them up off the branches, not wanting to risk pulling up the bushes, not wanting to accidentally pull them up. The lazy creature liked his sour snacks, they always caused the end of his tail to swish as he ate them... but today it would turn out was a different sort of day, one that would cause his snack time to be ruined. As he was happily gulping down the berries something hard something bounced off the side of his head, he felt a bit of an annoying pull, then the sound of a machine of sorts powering down. Turning his head the massive dragon Pokemon turned to look down at the Pokeball that was sitting there on the ground, blinked a couple times, then turned to look toward the boy that had thrown it at him. The boy had... he had thrown a Pokeball... at him? AT HIM?! The dragon, normally one who was lazy as Hell and seen sleeping high in the air amongst the clouds, was suddenly angry, almost ragingly so.
Whirling around completely Nidhogg opened his mouth and gave a great, loud roar that seemed to echo all around them, his eyes narrowing, before he inhaled deeply and released a powerful Thunder attack. It wasn't aimed at the boy, instead off to the side of him, but it was more then enough to cause the boy to scream, turn on his heel, and run like the little whelp that he was, "You had better run you worthless runt! He spat out after the fleeing child, eyes narrowing, before he pushed up off the ground and flew high up into the air, snarling as he did so. He continue up, up, up and into the sky, passed the clouds, before he finally stopped and set about roaring and spitting Thunder, clearly displeased over what had occurred. Sure, the brat hadn't caught him, hadn't come close, but the fact that he would ever dare to do so, to throw one of those infernal Pokeballs at him, one of the Weather Gods?! He had never been so insulted in all of his life! How he hated those little creatures, scurrying about, throwing things at innocent Pokemon as they went about their day, just trying to get a snack! Next time one of them tried it he would eat them he raged, though he knew deep down that would never really happen. He didn't want to eat a human, he just wanted to eat berries! Damn it hadn't gotten anywhere near his fill! Not that such a thing was easy given the difference in size between his stomach and the berries he'd been snacking but that was beside the point!
Nidhogg flailed around for a while longer before he flopped over, floating along on his side, the end of his tail lashing in a displeased fashion, "Never have I been so insulted!" He complained to nobody in particular, not that anyone save for his brother Jormungandr would be able to hear him up here. Speaking of which he lifted his head, looking around, before giving a hissing sound as he realized that the little human pup from before might very well be chasing after anyone of them, huh? That meant that not only was he in danger of having those infernal contraptions thrown at him but his brother might very well be in danger as well! He would most certainly eat that little brat if he had caught Jormungandr he thought to himself as he rolled over so that he was once more upright and rushed forward, seeking out his shiny twin. His mood, which had been a rather amiable one to start with, was now a rather displeased one... he would be careful from now on not to descend to the ground when the humans weren't about, they were apparently not worthy of his trust, were they?
Ah well, he might consider letting the little brat off the hook so long as his twin was alright he thought to himself as he sped across the sky. He was pretty sure that he had scared the brat enough that he had likely peed himself before racing home to his mother so he didn't have to punish him further. Unless of course Jormungandr was missing then he would chase the brat to the ends of Gaia!
