Irene's response was thoughtful. Something that as the guardian listened, an easy, proud smile formed upon her little maw. Though after her miniature explanation, it seemed as if the girl still needed some reassurance.
"No... it doesn't sound silly at all..." At that moment, the cat shot up in height, taking on a familiar hat adorned human-like form. "It sounds absolutely genuine, which is all I could ever ask for, Irene..."
Asking for no permission, she leaned in and gave the girl a hug with one arm, but the other arm snuck between the two of them, pressing the palm of her hand upon the senshi's chest, just over her heart. Her green eyes closed and she concentrated. This time, the warmth that exuded from the starseed was far more intense that with her previous attempt. It was a sign that the girl was ready.

"Really?" Irene was surprised and relieved and thrilled all at the same time. It felt like the weight she had been carrying ever since she asked ********* to 'make her stronger' was gone, leaving her free and relaxed. It wasn't a solid fix, and there were still things she needed to do, but now that she had chosen a path that felt right, she was confident- really, truly confident- that the rest would work out somehow.
When ********* moved in for the hug, she was surprised again, but hugged back eagerly. "Thank you, *********. I... I don't know what I would do if you weren't here to help me." Other than go tearing off like a maniac, or something equally ill-advised.

As the pair continued to hug, Irene would eventually find herself washed in an intense warmth. Perhaps it was the fact that her fuku had started to glow of a hot white color. The Mauvian eventually loosened her hugging-hold upon the girl, but leaned in and planted a gentle peck of a kiss on Irene's cheek.
"You did good!" she said with a smile, eventually pulling her other hand back only once the senshi of peace's fuku had taken on a new form.

For a moment, Irene frowned, not sure what was happening. It didn't feel bad or anything- quite the opposite- but she didn't like not knowing what was happening. Still, ********* seemed to feel that this was a good thing, and after everything that had happened, she had to trust in that.
She scooted away, looked down, and lifted the striped edge of her new skirt. This was what she had asked for, what she had tried so hard to achieve for herself, with or without anyone else's help or approval. After everything she had done, she had let the thought of power go. Yes, strength was important, but it wasn't what was important to her, not anymore. So why was she granted it only when she no longer needed it? What had all of her hard work, though misplaced, been for?
As she had when she awakened, Irene burst into tears. "I'm sorry," she blubbered, dabbing at her eyes with the back of her hand. "I'm not upset, really! I'm just... surprised. But it's the good kind of surprise!" she added quickly, not wanting to hurt ********* feelings again.

The form which ********* had taken was fleeting at best. One moment she was of an equal size to Super Irene, smiling contently. The next, she physically shrank down to the form of the familiar feline. Without a word, she weaseled her way into the girl's lap, much like how she had before. However, this time, instead of getting in the girl's face, she nuzzled herself up against Irene's stomach.
In a cooing purr, she easily replied "I know... no worries!"

"No worries," Irene repeated, as she started to calm down. This was a good thing. It meant that her decision was a good one. It did not mean that she had to go chasing off after bad guys and beating them up. Irene shuddered at the thought and held ********* closer. No, she'd had quite enough fighting for a while.
But when the time came to protect herself, or someone else, she would be ready. She had to be, or everything else would be meaningless.
