 Teufel wasn't surprised that she had passed, nor that the humans had as well. To her, riddles were something that everyone should know, if for no other reason than a simple security concern. Since many Demons were still bound by the old ways, the old customs, they were obligated to follow certain archaic rules and manners. One of those being that if they wanted to enter negotiations with a human, to make a deal, there were certain allowed methods of persuasion. Why would a Demon even bother to parley with a human, when they could so simply overpower them, and take what they want? The answer varied. Boredom was a common answer, but so too were fascination and deviousness. Some Demons preferred to make deals with humans, the better to enjoy those moments of final desperation at the end, after they convinced a human to agree to something utterly impossible. Or the alternative, they showed something almost akin to mercy, purely to be able to revisit torment upon the human at a later date. One of the more infamous examples being sparing a human's life, in return for their still-unborn child. At that moment, the human had no idea they'd ever have a child, and they didn't want to die, so they quickly agreed. And sure enough, they managed to avoid starting a family for years. But eventually memory fades, and sooner or later, they would inevitably do what was needed to beget a child. And lo and behold, when the Demon returned on the night of that child's birth, the human was plunged into despair far greater than they had experienced before. They would beg and plead, even threaten, but none of that would save their child. That is not to say that it was impossible to keep their child. No, Demons were risk-takers, and they underestimated humans too much. So they could be lured into gambling their agreed-upon payment, in lieu of even greater rewards, in a contest of sorts. That included riddles. If the human challenged the Demon to a game of riddles, on the contingent that if they won, they kept their child, and if they lost, they surrendered their own life as well, the Demon would almost always accept the challenge. One example in particular, though it did not involve riddles, was the imp Rumpelstiltskin, who gambled on the human never being able to guess his name. Everyone knew how that turned out. Sometimes the human won, and managed to keep their child. Other times they didn't, and were summarily killed before their child was taken. But the chance was there, and that was enough. As such, Teufel considered it merely common sense that humans would still be taught in the old ways, would still have that hard-won knowledge that could protect them from a Demon's wiles. So it was merely expected that her fellow examinees would succeed in solving those riddles. Would this next task be any more of a challenge? She expected it would have to be. She listened as the proctor explained the next step. They were broken into groups, and tasked to find odd and unusual items, treasures in their own right. She warmed to the concept, seeking out treasures was something that most Demons took to alarmingly well. She could tell the ones she was tasked to find were out there. But it wouldn't be so simple as traipsing out into the woods and looking under every rock and behind every tree. No, this was a competition. She could attack the other groups, just as they could attack her. She held a sword, a very useful blade. Nowhere near as much as her scythe, but it would do. The only variable was if she was truly alone in this task. She still needed to confirm the groups. To see if she had been paired off with any of the humans or not. If so, her battle options would be limited, in having to safeguard her allies; her own battle style would be limited. She needed to make sure now, before she lost any advantage she might have otherwise gained. Then she stopped. Was she really considering consorting with the humans who had been her enemies only a moment before? She was losing her touch! The proctor had said that only one from each group needed to die for the whole group to fail. That meant she could be doomed to failure, based solely on the fragility of her human partner! Well that simply wouldn't do! She scowled, her anger rising even as her sword's blade began to glow a hellish green. She'd take the fight to her enemies, and kill them before they could kill her! Fel chakra began to radiate from her blade, even as her features gained a daemoniac edge. Curved ram's horns burst from her skull, curling back over her ears. Her shoes were torn to pieces once more, as cloven hooves appeared where her feet had been. Brindled fur covered her shins, and then her forearms too, changing her hands into stubby-clawed paws. She had gone from a harmless youth to a demonic fiend in an instant, and this fiend was now setting it's sights on everyone else in the vicinity. If she fell into too deep of a rage, she might even attempt to cut down her own partner. But first, that one! The one singing! Singing had no place here, in what would become a pit of atrocities, filled with the blood of the fallen. Teufel rushed toward Sanosuke, sword held high as she did, Fel chakra heralding her arrival as sure as the blast of a trumpet. Fel chakra was inimitable to human life, it would feel evil, wrong, impure. And it was poison to them, if they remained exposed for too long, they would be corrupted beyond repair. That was only assuming they survived the attack.

There was little word spoken between them, which was something Aaron preferred. Their last member of their team had finally arrived, and Aaron began to pick up good vibes about him. The Anxiou was okay with working with him and this pink haired woman, just as long as they didn't do something drastic and made him have to take action to take them down. But, that was if he could. They certainly caught his attention when it came to power wise. Other than that, he was feeling the rather comfortable wiht his group, he decided they were trust worthy, and they wouldn't do something to betray him. After all, they were just as determined to pass this exam as he was. The purple haired male looked around, and eyes the surrounding area. Something just wasn't going to go as planned, and Aaron could feel this. He looked at a few of their teams, a couple have already found their items and were already collecting them. With a small sigh, the purple freak turned back to his team mates, his silver eyes surveying them slightly. He wasn't one for introductions, but then again, he would have much rather know what to call them at the very least. His mouth stayed in a straight, hard line, while his silver orbs held both their gaze. He was the daring type, he was the kind that made people not want to be partners with him. But, he would work with them, no matter how much effort it took, he would find those items, and they would rise to victory.
"The name is Aaron Anxiou. We should try the North end first, since everyone is heading South first. They can fight it out among themselves while we get a better understanding of the area, maybe even scope out places to set up a camp so we have a place to resort to if one of us becomes injured." He explained as he waited for input by his team mates.

The the girl gave a sigh, she didn't like working with people at all, and she wasn't afraid to let it show. The girl just gave a small yawn, then looked around. Where should they start first? Maybe go on a small walk to the eat part of the forest? Or maybe take a venture to the west? But then she thought of something else. A birds eye view of the forest would be very much welcomed, and maybe a small little map of the forest would be greatly appreciated. The young girl gave another sigh, and looked up into the trees, then something caught her eyes. It was wooden, but it was a different wood from the rest of the forest. The wood was a bit discolored, and it almost looked like there was something stuck in the tree, like someone had impaled something into the tree. With a little closer look, she saw it was the hilt of something. Nova didn't even give a signal to her group, showing them that she was going this way. She just walked over to the tree and jumped up into it. Her green eyes looked at it much more closely, it seemed to be a sword of some kind. Taking a hold of the hilt, the Suzaku gave a tug, and out came the wooden sword. Giving it a look over, and simply gazed at it's blade, and gave a small nod. Turning back to look at her group, she gave a small wave.
"I found it."

Over - Scroll [73]  Sanosuke whirled around to face the Demoness and whipped out his pen as if he meant to parry her sword with it, but all of a sudden he simply stepped forward and was on the girl in a second took the blow without hesitation There was blood but Sano got what he wanted in close to the demoness. he looped an arm about her waist in an iron grip, "I'm Sanosuke. I'm gonna burst into flames now. =3" and just as he suggested his entire body burst into violent black flames engulfing both him and his opponent, his free hand could suddenly be seen grasping the Pen and pushing it onto the girl's face daring cat whiskers onto her face with childish glee. For once Sano was incredibly quiet as he savored the heat burning him alive along with the Demon who rushed him. Sano was an immortal, this was all just a game for him. After all he was a Missing Nin, a Rogue Ninja, they didn't take exams. The burns would start to heal themselves as they occurred but would progress despite that even his shoulder was starting to heal onto the blade of the sword which was cutting deeply into his shoulder but had been halted by the bone. The blood however was sizzling as it evaporated off wounds as Sano embraced the girl to him and incinerated the both of them together. The smell was less than desirable. If she didn't separate herself from him soon she would be dead. 44,400/45,400 Karinzan jutsu - 1000

Youyaku notices his traveling companions not even respond to his words and mutters, "As soon as this is over I'm eating the woman. The guy might give me stomach troubles." He then comes to a halt in his running and finds a small panda cub. "Item one has been secured. Onward to the second item." As he goes to pick up the panda he first notices the white haired, naked ape fighting a woman of a higher standing than some mere human and then the female of his group rushing off and on her own way. Since he had to worry about the item he carried, he decides to just follow the female at least until they were a descent distance from those around him. "It'd be a shame if you died but I don't care either way, naked ape!" He calls out to Sanosuke and then goes rushing forward and in the same direction as his other group member, the item in hand. Youyaku manages to keep the female in his sights when the panda cub begins wrestling and trying to be freed of his grip. "Stupid animal! Be still," he yells in his head as he tries stilling the critter gently with his stupid fake hands.

 "Well now... What the heck are we supposed to be doing? Looks like.. A scavenger hunt? Or maybe.. Hide and go seek with inanimate objects? Something like that.. It's damn stupid though. I agree, we have a team too.. Which normally, I'm all for. But look at these two, Yeah.. Lets just kill everyone, yeah? It would be much easier then running about for stupid items. Or whatever the hell we're doing. Right, right. You do know best after all. I'm sure you've taken part in something like this before? Of course I have, every time someone runs away it's like another freakin' duck hunt!" Cytisus laughs aloud, as he casually tugs on the sleeve of the weird clothing he was forced to wear. Reaching down, he grabbed that fancy hammer he had taken from the bag, and casually adjusted it in his grip. It was about time he got to some killing, of course he would need to access the situation a little more first. Without a handseal, he slowly sank into the ground, with the use of the Leech All Creation: Attack Prevention technique. From here, he could move about the area quite quickly, size up his prey and begin the death of them all!

Roro does not look at Aaron, he just continues looking forward to try and be sure not to miss anything as he ran. "Roro," Roro replies steadily. He waits a few moments before going on. "I agree with moving North and setting up camp somewhere. However I would prefer it be in a location that allows for mobility as far as location and setup." Since remaining stationary with so much visibility, could become problematic, he wanted a place where they could move around freely along with pack up and move if they were compromised. Roro looks around but doesn't find a suitable location yet. They would have to continue forward north and he would have to get a good vantage point in order to find a suitable terrain. Then from there they could travel by ground to find a good place to setup camp that isn't too easily viewed from the sky and has a nice covering to provide shade. "You two wouldn't happen to have any medical training?" As soon as he'd asked he seems to grow silent. He'd grow almost thoughtful in his silence before correcting himself, "Never mind. We'll talk things through later, perhaps."
He didn't want anyone to have the chance to overhear him asking questions about their medical training or much else. It would only make the medic a target, and that wasn't a good thing. Roro thinks he see's something, pausing for the smallest of an instance to get a better look, but soon proceeds at the same pace as before. He supposed they wouldn't be finding anything so soon.

Micha Fhei of the Village Hidden in Twilight
The Nosferatu Clan 
After they spoke their piece and ideas Micha would take the brief silence to introduce herself. "My name is Micha Fhei..." She said softly sort of uncomfortable breaking the silence between the group. She wasn't sure how much she should tell them about herself right now, or if she should say things out loud unless it was moment that demanded it. For now she would keep quiet, follow their lead to where the camp would be, and of course keep an eye out for their hidden treasures. She would stay a step behind them she was extremely happy that the past five years she has been training her speed more than anything else. That was probably her best attribute, and for a race it would come in handy. Micha was about four feet behind Aaron and Roro, and that’s when she noticed Roro's twitch. It was like he saw something in the woods. Micha quickly began to scan the area for any threats, but not before calling out to the two. "Wait!" She yelled as she slid across the snow slowing down before coming to a complete stop. She noticed something odd in the trees about fifteen feet from where she stood. It was a branch, but no ordinary one. This branch was completely straight, and etched in to it were designs. These designs were actually different kinds of animals. A bird, wolf, bear, mountain lion etc. All kinds of animals that a person would hunt while in the woods. That's when it hit her, could that be the hunter's bo staff? She motioned to the two with an excited expression on her face.

They saw the groups were now starting to move out in search for their items. The question she was asking herself was which way should her group go? The forest was so deep and vast. Their items could be anywhere within it and they had no hints on where they were located. Almost seemed hopeless, so much area to search and who knows what kind of monsters waited for them in the forest. Not to mention the other groups. She was about to speak, trying to make some sort of plan for them, but before she could get anything out, her green eyed partner was already on the move. Kami took a step forward watching her astonished that she didn't communicate with them on where she was going, or what she was doing. "Wha- What- Where are you going?!" Just great she was already on the move, making her way up a tree. Kami hoped that her partner wasn't going to make an attempt at going AWOL before they could even get any footing on round two of the exam. Kami just watched her, hoping that she didn't have plans of separating herself from the group. That could prove to be troublesome.
Then, much to Kami's astonishment Nova was holding something in her hand. It was difficult to make out exactly what it was from where she stood, but Nova gave them a reassuring wave and said some magical words. 'I found it' Kami motioned to Axis to follow her as she leapt from branch to branch making her way to where Nova stood. She had done it, and so quickly too. She found one of their items, a wooden sword. She was overcome with joy, so much that she wanted to give Nova a hug. But she realized she was up high in a tree, and a face plant in to the dirt courtesy of Nova didn't seem so appealing. "Wow, that's amazing! Great job Nova." She said to her with a big smile, once again picturing Nova shoving her off of the branch and face planting on the ground. Kami then turned to Axis and greeted gave him a big smile as well. "Only two more to go. Perhaps we should head east? Might be wise to head down this path. Our first item was on it perhaps the rest are as well." She could only hope that they were. Though she was open for other suggestions.
I'm clear as glass but I can't seem to ever clean, the finger prints you left on me.

The dead girl looked around the green lush forest, and gave a sigh, these items must be rather hard to fine. The wind her golden hair around, as it became the shining sun as the sun's rays filtered through them, the whole world grew ten sizes too big, but then that loud mouthed team mate of hers came rushing up to her. She turned and looked over her shoulder, and saw he held a small little panda cub in his arms. It struggled and flailed it's arms, and Beta felt a little sorry for it, especially since the look it gave her was practically begging her to take it from him. It's large beedy eyes where staring at her, almost like they were trying to sway her to make him let it go. Instead, she just smiled at it and waved, turning her back on both of them. As soon as she did, her azure eyes fell on something white in the tree. It was a cylinder shape, and made Beta's curiosity jump. She turned her attention to her team mate, and gave him a small nod.
"Stay here for a few seconds, I just want to check on something." She whispered to him, and scaled up the side of the tree. Upon looking around for something, she spotted what she had seen before. It was a scroll! Dislodging it from it's position among some branches, she took it. Giving a small smile, the cheery girl jumped off her perch, and back down in front of her team mate. She held up to scroll, letting him see, their second item found.
"I'll trade you." She offered to take the cute little panda cub for her newly found scroll.

Oasis was actually surprised that her blood covered exam was accepted and was actually able to pass the first exams. With a small yawn, Oasis boredly looked around, looking for her team mate. The whole idea of having to find items is confusing. But the most confusing part was, they had to find more than three items. They couldn't cover as much area with only the two of them, and they would have to work harder. But there were advantages to only having the two of them on the team, like they could work better, and not have to worry about another person influencing their ideas. They were just as free to do whatever they wanted and when they wanted. The pin haired girl sight, looking over to the proctor. This proctor was indeed odd, slightly crazy and wanted to work them like dogs. It would be so easy to just make him disappear forever, wipe his existence off the face of the earth. But, that would have to come later. Oasis was about to go off on her own, when she noticed her team mate was in a bit of a bind. It hardly has been even an hour, and already they were picking a fight. With a sigh, she silently approached the fight, and as soon as Sanosuke wrapped his arms around her team mate, Oasis knew she had to act or else her team mate would get killed. Before Sanosuke began to speak, she grabbed the back of his neck, and soon ice began to cover his body from her grip, the ice crystals just kept growing and growing, and soon would cover his entire body, keeping him from bursting into flames. She kept the ice from his face, as her purple orbs glared at him. Letting go of his frozen form, she walked in front of him. If he worked hard enough, he could break through the ice. It was all means to keep her team mate alive. Looking into his face, Oasis gave a slightly twisted smile. Yes, one maniac meeting another.
"Why, if it isn't another lunatic. This should be interesting." Her soft voice rang out into the air. Gripping onto her team mate's arm, she pulled her from his frozen grip. Yes, the Ice Orochi came in handy a lot of the time. "If you ever touch my team mate again, I'll kill you." Oasis glared, then turned away and dragged her team mate off. After a few paces, she let go of the demoness, then looked up at the sky. Where will their first item be?

Under Kage's Ring [25] It wouldn't go as Oasis thought it would. The instant she touched Sanosuke the pen in his hand arced backwards it would hit her somewhere in the side and pour it's ink into her blood and faster than most could imagine his foot was on Teufel's chest, leaning in slightly, "My apologies it seems I'm quite popular today" And with a mighty push he used her as leverage and jumped backward pushing her backwards and gaining distance, he could feel the ice, it didn't matter the fire didn't come from his body anyways, and this small amount of ice, His hand reached back onto his neck and his nails dug it, like that he tore out the frozen chunk of flesh and tossed it aside like garbage. But then the woman said something hilarious, "Kill me?" He laughed, "You couldn't kill me if I handed you my head on a silver platter." For once it seemed he was being serious. "I've tried that before, it's very interesting to experience, living with your head removed from your body." It was clear he was 100% serious about it. Then all of a sudden he burst into laughter, "But blood is terrible for silver you know! Maybe Bronze or Copper next time! And he was gone into the surrounding trees in the fleeting moments those with sharp eyes would note it the missing chuck of flesh from the back of his neck. Had Healed. Roll a d10 like me

Raising upwards from the ground, with the use of his technique. Cytisus shook his head slightly. There was fighting already, but none of it appeared to be that exciting. His team mates were apparently no where to be found, and what made things better? People were already finding their items or whatever. And it was starting to get annoying as they all scattered about. Finding these items would be impossible, it would be easier for him to just find his own items first and deal with the rest from there. Sighing slightly, he slowly sank back into the ground in order to continue his search elsewhere. /* YES A ONE! Lets get this shiit started next post. */

Youyaku halts the very instant that his female teammate instructs him to. By the time he realizes he's taken an order from some human, as he perceived her, he gets a little hot under the collar. He grumbles, tightening his grip on the pand cub slightly, and spits a few slurs under his breath. Once the female returns, seemingly finding a useless scroll Youyaku opens his mouth to insult her when she asks if he wants to trade. He would save his insult about the scroll for later and instead provide insults to her regarding the panda. "The only thing of use that we have and you want to take the black and white beast from me? You naked apes all think alike. I'm going to keep this beast and use it as a shield as it is designed to be. And then, when you are left with that piece of scrap to use, you will realize the level in which humans truly reside." He grunts as the panda continues to look to the female for assistance. "If you want the panda then you'll have to take it from my cold, dead hands!" In that regard, she'd only have to take the bear as he was already sporting a fine pair of dandy's like that already. He goes to backhand the panda but needed to scowl it in the eyes first.
He raises the panda and looks at it for just a second and soon lowers it back down. His face grows a bit flushed, remembering something he'd forgotten, before he murmurs, "Let's just... keep what we have, shiny naked ape." He seems to be a little gentler with the panda cub now. But if she wanted to take it from him then she could since he didn't have quite the best grip on it before or now. The panda, thinking he's up to something, plays like it's stuffed. Regardless of if she decides to take the cub and replace it with the scroll, Youyaku would move forward in an effort to keep them moving and on the course to finding more items.
