Catching his gaze as he guided her chin, she sucked in another breath, exhaling shortly after, casting her gave off to the side again. She thought she had joined for those reasons, to help protect the world, but than she pulled a selfish move and put her friends lives more valued than the rest. If she were to appeal to Allan, and to become a hunter again, she would just have to keep her friends safe, in a way that she would not step on a certain death lead's toes.
As Lex spoke up again, she found herself gazing back, curious on what he had to say. "Blowing off.. steam..?" It took a moment for his words to click, causing her cheeks to flush, her eyes widening again when she finally clued in. Ohhh, that. Heart skipping a beat, she searched her thoughts for a topic change, only to come up empty handed.
She didn't deny that she didn't find Lex attractive, or even had been curious about.. that before, but..
Hesitantly, Kat shyly reached out, just lightly brushing the side of his face with her fingertips.

"Mmmm...yeah, steam." Lex purred as her fingers brushed against his face, causing his smile to become a tad wider and his eyes to grow a bit bigger. She was practically inviting him to make the next move, which he gladly would.
"Though, I'm not the kind of man to try and blow steam when there is none." His voice had mild concern and affection laced in it, though his free hand was already making its way up her spine, albeit rather lazily. He remembered how much she had freaked out when he'd pecked her cheek; she was obviously inexperienced.
"But" Lex started, bringing his face a little closer to Kat's, "if there's water in the kettle..."

Inexperienced was definitely what she was. Normally if something even close to this happened, it resulted in the girl freaking out, and normally lashing out. She had been this way since she was a kid, so why she was allowing this to happen now baffled her. Maybe it was curiosity, or maybe it was just because she didn't want to be alone tonight, and wanted someone to comfort her. Either way..
The touch of Lex's hand on her back resulted in a shiver down her spine, as her hand found its way to his chest. She wasn't at all sure how to react in this situation--most girls her age had no problem in this area of expertise, having been through this already--she was completely new to it.
A little hesitant, she leaned forward a little brushing her lips gently over his.

The hand on his chest was a small "yes" to the man, and the light kiss sealed the deal. His grin grew to one more carnal one as he responded to her lips with his, interlocking them gently for a moment, then pulling back and smiling.
"A gentle boil should do it..." He whispered, reaching into his nightstand with a free hand while the other remained on the small of her back.

With the combination of her latest wounds and having cried, Kat awoke with a monster of a headache as well as stiff limbs. Wincing, she moved to sit up, bleary eyed, and dazed. For the moment, she had no recollection of what had gone on last night, thinking she had just had a very.. interesting dream. It took a minute or two before she began to realize where she was, and that she was.. not dressed. At all.
"..Oh s**t!"
That was a dream, right? She wasn't--they didn't--oh gawd! For the moment, Lex's note went completely unnoticed, as she frantically scrambled to put everything that had happened last night.

Lex, on the other hand, was smiling a smug smile that only one who had enjoyed an evening in a very particular way could smile while he prepped a batch of batter in the kitchens, glad to have helped Kat in his own way and gotten something in return. In all honesty, he had no intention of the night turning out like it did; but that wasn't to say he regretted it.
Once the batter was in the fridge, the Lifer made his way to Solia's room were he asked the petite girl if he could borrow some clothes for a "friend." When she pried (he couldn't blame her - info gathering was her job) for who this certain friend was, Lex stayed adamant and ended up promising that he'd read just one chapter of her "stories" before he made his way back to room 172, where the man would encounter a shell shocked Sun.
He opened the door with his free hand, clothes tucked under his arm, and beamed at the girl on his bed.
"Good morning, sunshine!" He said, putting the clothes next to her on the bed. "How are you doing this morning? Hungry?"

Okay.. her dorm was locked thanks to her being written off as dead, and Lex brought her back here.. after that, they talked, and.. "Oh gawd-" Okay no! There had to be something else! Was she drunk last night? No, she didn't recall any alcohol involved. Oh gawd!
"Good morning, sunshine!"
OH GAWD! She hadn't even realized that he was back! Well, she didn't even know where was in the first place, but she knew he wasn't around when she woke up. Staring wide eyed at the life hunter, it took her a near minute to realize that she was still sitting there, topless, before she quickly snatched up the sheets to cover herself.
"How are you doing this morning? Hungry?"
How was she feeling? She would let him know when she figured it out herself. Her gaze shifted from the clothes and back to him repeatedly, her cheeks turning a deep red. "I-I--uh--you--we-" She scooted back a little, not realizing she was at the edge of the bed, falling off while still clinging to the sheets.

Lex snorted lightly, but quickly covered it with a look and small noise of concern as she fell off the bed, still naked and clutching to the sheet. He grinned a little as he shook his head, bending down to pick her up and put the girl back on the bed.
Honestly, no one had ever reacted like this before. Usually there was some giggling and talking, or a "I was really drunk, but you're cute." Today? Today Lex got a girl freaking out and falling out of his bed at the mere thought of having sex with him.
Seemed like the old Kat was back with him.
"Yes." Was his simple answer, grabbing his toothbrush and things to go freshen up. "I got some clothes for you to change into - I'll be back soon, m'kay?"
Just as he was about to walk out, he turned around with a look of sudden realization on his face. "How many pancakes do you want?"

Struggling to keep the bed sheet wrapped firmly around her form, she squeaked a little as Lex approached to pick her up and set her back down on the bed. Adjusting the sheets on her, she merely stared after him, almost gawking when he answered her..or what meant to be, earlier question. So she hadn't dreamed that, it actually happened. Well, why else would she be in his room--in his bed--in the nude?
Glancing over to the clothes, she gave him a questioning look, curious to know just where he had got them from. A bemused grin crossed her lips, knowing there were likely plenty of women willing to give Lex their clothes-
....
-apparently she was no better.
Looking off to the side, she attempted to calm herself. Though the mere thought of last night only caused her heart to race and her face redden more than it already was.
How does a girl like her, who freaks out if a guy so much even touches her in a suggestive way, end up sleeping with a guy she only knew for a short time? Gawd.. It was a time like this, she was sure happy Xedis was taken from her. She would never hear the end of it.
"How many pancakes do you want?"
Still wide eyed, her gaze landed on him again, before shifting to the pancakes he mentioned. "Uh-" They did look delicious, and she hadn't eaten anything aside from that small snack bar last night, but.. "I-I don't know! Y-you decide!" and with that, she flopped back, pulling the rest of the sheets over her as if to hide and let him go back to his morning business.
She would get dressed after.

Lex chuckled as he left, shaking his head at the girl's antics; what was wrong with him seeing her naked now? She hadn't been nearly as bashful during the night - she'd even cuddled with him. Must have been the grief, guilt, and all those fun emotions that compiled the conglomerate known as grief.
He showered quickly, brushed quickly, and made his way back to the room quickly, smiling at her as he put his bag away and threw on a shirt and jeans before heading to the kitchens to make pancakes - which he topped with cherries.
He made three for her and three for himself, along with two mugs of coffee that were held in both hands -the plate of pancakes balanced on his forearm,. When he got to his door, he kicked it lightly to knock, grinning from ear to ear.
"Kat! Could you open up? I brought you some coffee, too."

Kat remained put as Lex saw to cleaning up for the day, not willing to move quite yet as she poked her head out from under the covers at the foot of the bed. When Lex returned and flashed a smile at her, she nodded and looked away while he changed, puffing her cheeks. Totally not looking--well, maybe the odd glance.
Once he exited again, the covers were off, and she began the hunt for her undergarments, which apparently she didn't leave all in one spot. Finding them, she gathered them up, carefully slipping them on over her the bandages. The note, which she wished she had caught earlier, was finally found and moved to the night stand as she set Lex's hoodie aside before moving to grab at the other set of borrowed clothes. Picking them up, she had to laugh at the size difference--the pants were a no-go, that was for sure, whoever this girl was, she was short! 5 or 6 inches shorter than she was! Setting them back down she tugged the t-shirt on over her head, which thankfully, fit, only to hear a thump at the door next.
"Kat! Could you open up? I brought you some coffee, too."
Pausing in her actions, Kat reached for the door, pulling it open for him before stumbling back to search for Lex's sleep pants again. Giving up when failing to locate them.
Reclaiming her spot on the foot of hid bed again, she waited quietly, unsure of what to say or do.

Setting the pancakes and coffee down on his nightstand, Lex gave Kat an odd smile when he realized she had no pants on after giving her a once over. "Well, you seem to know the etiquette even if you're new to this." He nearly purred, handing the girl a mug and sitting next to her on the foot of his bed, as he took a drink of coffee.
He was completely unaware that she was uncomfortable, and was just teasing to try and lighten the mood, but that didn't exactly stop him from putting a hand on her bare thigh and giving it a light squeeze as he set down his coffee and passed her the plate of pancakes.
"Eat up, you need to restore some energy...especially in your current state."

At that comment, all he got was a look followed by pursed lips. She ought to tell him that the clothes he borrowed for her were too small, but instead let it drop for now. After she had eaten, she would just hunt for those sleep pants again. Amazing, in a room this clean, she could make them vanish in one night with ease.
Tugging the shirt down to try and cover most of herself, she resorted to using one hand when handed the mug of coffee. Gawd, yes.. coffee! "Thanks.." This was something she definitely needed right now. Inhaling the scent for a moment, she took a small sip from the drink, surprised to find that the taste was much finer than that of the usual coffee one would find at Deus. With that, she took a bigger sip, only to spit it out when feeling a certain someone's hand rest on her thigh.
Careful not to drop the mug, her gaze shot to Lex's hand, to the pancakes and then to Lex himself. Preoccupied by the current issue of his hand being on her thigh, his words went unnoticed for a moment, before she struggled to answer.
"Uh--s-sorry--what?"

Okay, that was a bad move, Lex should have expected something like that to happen really. He took his hand off her thigh, gave her a small smile, and fished the towel he'd used after his shower out of the laundry basket, using it to soak up the coffee that was already in the process of staining the floor - he'd get a throw rug to hide the stain that was in just in front of his door.
"You need to eat those pancakes - they'll provide the energy your body needs to recoup from...well, everything." He mostly meant what had occurred the previous night, but also the past few days with the Horsemen and so on. Getting up from his kneeling position and throwing the towel back into the laundry bin, Lex took a seat a little farther from the young woman, this time keeping his appendages away from her.
"Was the coffee that bad?" He teased again, raising his brow and grinning to indicate so.

Grimacing, Kat stared at the coffee that now stained Lex's rug--though it was hard to tell whether she was upset about the stain, or wasting the coffee. Probably both. As he removed his hand, she breathed a sigh of relief, bringing a hand up to brush a stand of hair back and tuck it behind her ear. "Er.. sorry, about that." She really ought to get down and help him, but decided to keep her distance for the moment.
Answering her earlier question, she perked a little, having permission to eat. However, he could have stopped at "you need to eat those pancakes." The energy comment only dragged her mind back to the gutter and the events of last night, which in return caused her cheeks to flush again. If this kept up, she was going to pass out, or freak out again--honestly!
"Er..uhh, thanks." Clearing her throat, she reached for the plate, helping herself to the meal which was practically Heaven on a plate! Lex certainly had good taste in foods, and the cooking skills to back it up.
"Was the coffee that bad?"
Coughing, she choked down the piece she had in her mouth before answering, eyeing the coffee mess on the floor again. "No.. the coffee was fine."
It was actually better than fine. She wanted whatever brand he had!
