"Eh, he's ok. Don't want him getting a big head." He watched her take a picture of the bird. "I didn't use the cafeteria because the tables aren't as clean. And you really do take pictures of everything, don't you?" He was glad he'd managed to dodge being documented. He refolded his project carefully, getting ready to head back to his dorm maybe via the store room to make sure Sha wasn't stealing marshmallows again. They already had three bags of them in Sha's dorm.

She nods, looking down at her side bag "mmmhmm! I guess... I think that since daddy died, My momma started giving up on seeing the pretty and wonderful things in the world! So I take lots of them so maybe someday she'll start being happier and playing with me like she used to..." She fidgets, nodding sadly.

"Oh, sorry to hear about your dad." He shuffled a little. What does one say to that? He still wasn't going to let her take his picture, but he did feel bad about bringing up that topic if it led to a statement like that.
"Um, what's your favorite thing to take pictures of?" He could have smacked himself for stupidity.

"Oh, it's ok...I don't really remember him much! And um...I really like taking pictures of the seasons and stuff! Like, when it's snowing or it's really sunny! I like people too, but it's rude to take random pictures without asking!"

"I'm glad you don't take them without asking." Trae said. "I don't like having pictures taken of me. I like it when it's sunny too. Snow, not as much, I don't really like the cold."
He started carrying his project down the hall. "Have you seen the dorm building yet?"

"Oh, okay! I won't take one of you then!" She'll make a paper collage of him instead. that shouldn't be too bad. "No, I've never been to the Dorms! Is it fun?"

"Uuuh, well. Sha and Blake's room is fun. I try to avoid my own. My room mate is... a bad influence." He sounded hesitant while trying to find a good adjective for his off the wall room mate. "I mostly live in theirs."

She nods, frowning "Does he pick on you? At least you have someone to spend time with who cares about you and stuff! You must be a great friend." She starts skipping, spinning around and giggling.

"Meh, it's more that he has a lot of habits that I don't agree with." Trae said, making a face at the habits themselves. "And yeah, Sha and Blake are good friends." He added while watching her spin, giggle and skip. He switched his trifold board to the other side.

"That's good! Maybe someday I'll meet them!" During a spin she trips, falling on her face with a surprised squawk. She sits back up, dusting herself off and flapping her wings. "What's your family like?"

Trae chuckles at that graceful fall. "My mom went a traveling. She left me with her brother, Uncle Jared. He's pretty cool. He knows a loooot about pretty much everything. He doesn't really leave the house, but he has books everywhere, on every topic. He also has a lot of fish tanks. The tanks all have different themes. They're really awesome."

Her eyes shone with excitement "Really? I've never seen fishies before! Well, except when I cook them, but I accidentally burn them usually!" She looks sheepish at how he chuckled "I'm just top heavy, that's all!"

"Well you wouldn't cook these fish, he has tropical fish, coral, anemones, all sorts of water life. And the tanks are awesome." He had a smile on his face as he started to describe some of the various fish and tanks.

"What's a tropical fish look like...? And anemones?" She looks curious "You must like them lots! You have a nice smile n stuff!" She liked smiles. The only ones she ever really saw were her brother's

"Tropical fish tend to be smaller, and brighter! They have really neat patterns all over their scales. Anemones are these little creatures that generally stay in one spot and have a lot of tentacles that can sting and catch small prey. Uh, actually my Mom gave me a pink condylactis anemone for my item." He shrugged. "Which is why I'm pink." He smiled a bit more at her compliment to his smile. It was always nice to hear a compliment when usually the first thing out of people's mouths was either 'are you a boy or a girl' or 'holy crap you're pink'.
