For a moment, Eva was silent, and then she simply smiled and shook her head. "Nah, don't worry about it! I mean, truth to be told, I've had my fair share of 'why the hell do I bother and am I still here' moments, but...there's really nothing to do but continue looking ahead!"
And there was the usual Eva cheer. She smiled at the other girl, and then promptly remembering that this was technically a spar, held her weapon up in a short warning before darting forward to strike out with Chara again. Bouncing back a few steps, she let out a sigh, a small laugh, and then wiped her forehead with the back of her hand.
"That being said...think we should call it quits for today?"

Ami wheezed when Chara sliced against her debunct shield once more. Eva suggesting quitting, and no words had ever sounded as sweet. She shot Eva a smile as she dusted herself off, rearranging her clothing and hair to be deemed acceptable once more.
"That sounds lovely." Her memory spanned back to the first few things Eva had said to her today. "Didn't you say something about ... an arrow? Something like that?"

Phew, good spar! She took a few moments to stretch, working out the tenseness of some of her muscles. Eva then let Chara revert back to her usual form before turning to look at Ami, shooting the other young woman a broad grin at the mention of the little prize she had managed to pick up. "Oh--yes, right! The arrowhead. Would you be willing to reforge it into a runic for me, perhaps?" There was a pause, and then she quickly held her hands up in front of herself.
"I mean, if it's not too much trouble! And I can definitely compensate for your work somehow, just name it!"

Ami blinked in surprise at the request. Someone wanted her to runic something? Certainly Ami's skill as a lifer was satisfactory enough, but she'd never been personally approached for something like this. It made her ... a bit happy, really!
"I- yes of course. Compensation can just come in the necessary runic fees- no need to pay beyond that." Ami wasn't going to do something for nothing, but Ami wouldn't swindle sweet Eva out of her house. That would've been unfair and rude. "Maybe some bandages too?" she asked with a light grin, looking to the bruises and cuts on her arms. It was a joke, really, since the life labs were stocked with all sorts of medical supplies.

Eva was beaming. Literally beaming. "You're the best, Ami! Of course I'll pay for the necessary fees, and I promise I'll make it up to you somehow!" Like...a shopping trip someday, or something! Not that she was certain that taking Ami out shopping would count as appropriate thanks, but she supposed that she would find out when the time came to offer her idea.
Eva grinned sheepishly, lifting a hand to rub the back of her head. "R-right, sorry about that. Let me help you get those cleaned up, okay?" It was the least she could do, after all.chimarii SHORT TAG SORRY adfsgdhjfh I guess wrap can be next post? biggrin D
