He watched her and waited, she seemed to be frozen and she as crying just slightly and he was worried he'd done something wrong. And then she reached over and touched him and he was surprised. He almost groaned as her muzzle touched his face and he leaned just slightly into the touch, closing his eyes. Instead of aching and breaking and yearning like he heart had done since she'd walked into his view, it began to beat faster. And then she pulled away and he almost cried out in pain. He wanted her to touch him, did she not think he liked it? He opened his eyes and turned his head to look at her just as she was apologizing. His eyes narrowed involuntarily and he frowned. Tension and just the slightest bit of irritation colored his voice. "I bear my soul to you and then you apologize?" She was still crying slightly, maybe the touch was just humoring him and he'd scared her. His ears laid back and he fought back a whine of distress. "I can go now. I'm sorry. I can let you think and then come back again someday later."

The feeling in the air felt tense all of a sudden she wanted to scream out and bear her soul too, but what could she say? Peren had already admitted she had no experience with being complimented, it made her feel amazing yet she was awkward as to how to react to it. She was at a lose, they where still so close, almost touching even now and she found his eyes once more and cringed herself at the serious frown that he wore.
Chargers words cut her inside like a knife and she knew it was her fault, she'd acted wrong and thought too late. Or had she acted right and only when she thought had things gone wrong? No... Maybe? She was so confused! "Please wait... do not go!" She took a deep breath "I did not think but then... Charger I am new to all this my body feels like it is on fire." The mare was trying to be honest, to open up truly after he had done so.
The last of her tears fell that had been welling in the corner of her eye and she had to breath hard her mind and heart still racing. "I hail from the Moonlight herd, a herd that relishes in the Moon and all its unique individuals. I have come to accept that compared to those of my family I am... simple. My existence is day by day, learning what I can to continue to grow as a I can, my family is vast yet I feel... disconnected. And... No there is no male, there never has been and I think..." Another breath as she flicked her wings nervously "I think I am lucky to have met you tonight Charger."

Fire? He made her feel like that? His heart warmed and hope settled into it. He didn't have to leave, he'd just almost broken her a bit with all the compliments. He made a mental note to be slower, let her get used to compliments and flattery. She deserved them but she wasn't used to them. He'd get her there, she'd see. "That's good to feel that way. That's okay. It must be. I've never done this before either but dose it feel wrong? I don't think it does." He reached forward to nuzzle her cheek. "Shh, shh" He soothed. "It's alright. You don't have to cry. I won't go if you don't want me to."
He listened as she talked of her herd. He should have assumed she'd have a big family but for her to feel lost in it, that saddened him. He'd find out if it was their fault and correct it. It amazed him that he was already willing to follow her into the herd. He'd never spent that much time around groups. It would be a large change for him but to be near her he'd do it. He felt much better when she admitted she did not have a mate or boyfriend and he smiled a her in spite or himself. "I do not think I would use the word simple to describe you." She looked so devastated and confused and hopeful that he wanted to laugh but he held himself back. "Would you take me with you to this herd? We can see how it works for me and how we might work. Spend more time together. Take it slower? I'll be good. I promise."

His smile returned, and just like that so did her's.
With a nod she enjoyed the returned nuzzle and relished the fire that only grew within leaning in also and never wanting it to end. His words helped to tame it to a manageable level, to keep her brain at least slightly de-fogged. Were these feelings normal? She felt she'd been missing out for her adult life to not feel this, was this what her father and his mate felt? Did her mother and father feel this?
"We.... Yes I think I would like that, would you mind spending the night here? I... do not want to loose this feeling, in this moment. Tomorrow we" Peren liked the sound of that, the use of we instead of I, to be someone and to feel it could last... to forever be a we. "shall travel back. And... Yes please, I would like very much to continue feeling this way." Her gaze has been on him, the floor, the water and everywhere and with the last part of her words she found only one place that she could look. Directly into his eyes with that hopeful look, a look full of wonder of what could be, what she hoped was to come.
Chuckling she nudged him gently with a sway "Are you being good now? It cannot be bad or wrong if it feels so... exhilarating, surely?"

She truly was an enchanting creature, he wondered if he even knew what the word passion meant. Perhaps no one had ever taught her or thought she ought to know. "That feeling is called Passion. It's a good feeling, it lets you know there is or could be something between you and another. It is not a bad thing to be a passionate individual or be passionate about someone or something."
She seemed partially terrified, partially confused and all filled with wonderment. He didn't know why the look on her face made he want to laugh but he suppressed it. He didn't want her to think he was laughing at her. It wasn't that, she just made him happy and he wanted to laugh because of it. "We can do whatever you want. Your call."
When she asked if he was being good he couldn't help himself and actually did throw his head back and laugh for the joy of it. When the fit was gone he lowered his head again to answer. "I don't think I've been such a good boy. I've been being rather blunt and using strong words and making you feel things suddenly. You look so devastated, like I've thrown you through an emotional storm cloud. I'm not sure I like that. I like those gentle eyes of yours better when they're smiling at me. I want to try to go slower, let you get used to me and how I am." He nodded and then decided he'd probably put her through enough tonight. "Would you like to rest now?"

Peren had found herself laughing along with him, the tension had completely dissipated from the scene as she settled into a very comforting and safe feeling. It did worry the rational part of her brain, should she feel this way so suddenly, they had only met yet she could think of nothing she'd rather do than to rest with the male, enjoy his company and continue to relish in his presence. Once they'd recovered she nodded "Yes... I would say that is exactly what you have done, it is rather exhausting though I do not regret it. I want to feel this way forever." She flexed her wings and peered around starting to consider spots to sit and rest, somewhere that would shade them from the dazzling morning sunrise.
"Something tells me It will not take too many sunsets to be used to your ways, though I have a lot to learn I would not reject a little slower pace to saviour these feelings." Then she felt herself yawning, hadn't she woken just a few hours before? She was a star of the night but she felt drained though it had been her insides that had worked overtime her physical form seemed to feel it.

Her cute little yawn showed him that he had indeed taxed her just like he'd thought. That just wouldn't do. She needed to be strong and rested and ready if they were going to go back to her family together tomorrow. "I'm glad you want to savor. Come with me and we shall savor. We will sleep were I slept yesterday. It's not too far into the forest that way." He pointed with a hoof. "I don't tend to like just being in the open when I sleep." He nudged her and then began to walk towards the edge of the clearing and through the trees to a small glen he'd decided to inhabit for a few days. It would be just cozy enough for them to sleep. He thought he'd enjoy sleeping next to her.

Peren hadn't considered not just sleeping where she pleased, she was very used to and at home with herd inhabitation. She watched as he pointed and then trotted behind him following him to the edge of the clearing, looking back just before he went through the tree's with a smile. Just for a second she wanted to memorise this place, a place she felt would stay in her mind forever. As soon as she'd mentally taken a picture she sighed a sigh of pleasure and with a hasty pace went to catch up to Charger.
Approaching the Glen with the new male whom had already impacted her life so much she puzzled over it, she hadn't slept somewhere quite as cosy as this before had she? Tonight was full of new experiences definitely and she would almost feel the warmth emitting from him being this close, when they where closer she had memories of being close with her siblings. "One gets used to letting down their guard in a herd It seems, it must be hard to be on your own though exciting to be able to travel and see new things." At the end her things gave way to another little yawn, disrupting her smile just long enough to show a weary face.
It was her cue and she went forward and settled down leaving a nice space just big enough for Charger next to her.

When she lagged her turned around to watch her and wonder at what she was doing. But she seemed to be doing it for reason so he waited. Nothing like waiting on a woman, he chuckled to himself. We she was closer again he nuzzled her neck and lead her to the glen. It was quiet and secluded enough to please him and surrounded by bushed. The leaves he'd dragged in last night for comfort were still strewn about. He was slightly amazed when she too the lead and walked in first and laid down, leaving just enough room for him. He blinked once and then laid down beside her. He turned his neck so it was lying over her around her neck and let his mane flick around her hide. "Good night Peren. Sleep well. Tomorrow we begin our new life together."

"Dream well, and... thank you." She had been a little stiff at first, not being used to bodily contact for so long and especially at night from someone she had just met. Peren had just met him hadn't she? Yet it already felt so set, how had it come that she was already entangled with the male ready to settle and sleep for the night? She tried to overlook the night and pin point the second her life seemed to change but found it too taxing and decided to carry on just living in the moment.
Relaxing she raised a wing and draped it over his form as far as it would reach, her feathers soft and great for extra warmth. Considering his words she closed her eyes, slacking her body weight, their new life together, how unknown and scary that sounded. Yet she found herself warm against him, and inside after the charged night and figured whatever was to come would be worth facing it all, because she'd so with him.
It was that thought that lent itself to her sleep that night, dreaming of Charger and the infinite possibilities her life now held with him in it.
