West began to laugh as he continued packing snow and pelting it at the ghoul. He momentarily had the upper hand after all the wing mishaps and pitifully small snowballs, and her wild shriek was music to his ears.
"It's okay, I'm th' snow master," he said, his words muffled by intermittent chuckles and labored breaths.

Yer a what? It was getting to his smart-mouthed boil head now; she had to move. The ghoul would have to break through the assault or there would never be a chance to retaliate. At one point, Levi took to a surprise tactic she usually avoided.
Given the nature of things, the tatzel tried to use the cover of the snow to slide under West with the push of her tail and feet against the snowbank behind her. In this movement, Levi was able to dive through the wrath demon's legs and into the bank he was using as ammo against her.
Then how'd ya'like this, snow master?! From below, Levi's arms and hair were filled with the acquired snow she'd scooped up from her sliding. When West faced her, she gave it to him, the snow flying at him upward by the shovel full.

He reached for a handful of snow as he had been doing rather successfully for some time now, but the demon's hands came up empty, and for a moment he hesitated, bracing himself for a counterattack.
"I'm the... no no no no," he began, letting out a whoop and hopping up onto one foot as she slid beneath him. West turned, a deluge of snow smacking him in the face as he backed away. He grabbed and tossed as much fluffy whiteness as he could, but it was nowhere near the amount he had launched at her previously.
"Th' snow master's pissed," he growled, still smirking. He briefly wondered if he should hide. Very briefly. He'd never been one to cower behind walls and he wasn't going to start now, even if he was feeling the gouge on his neck a bit more acutely than was probably healthy.

This was one of those moments she'd wished she hadn't gone against her usual judgements. The playfulness of the situation led her to let down her guard. Where a tatzel would usually choose to take a higher ground and leap, she'd taken to the ground. It was one of the most basic rules of engagement when fighting her way; you never left yourself open for the pin. Keeping a higher position than your opponent meant you were less likely to get down for the count and you were in a better place for takedown.
The white-eared ghoul's eyes widened before shutting down tight at the attack coming her way. It wasn't out of fear; the ghoul was nothing if not exhilarated by West's challenging her. She just didn't know if the snow would sting her eyes, so it happened on reflex. Another hiss sounded as the balls impacted, but she was still all teeth in a wide grin as they did. Clearly, Levi was still happy about the assault despite her situation.

It wasn't the wisest of moves, kicking or... snowballing your ghoulfriend when they were down, but despite his smiles, West was in battle mode. He didn't necessarily have to win, but he would go down fighting. Even though he had been backing off, he moved toward Levi now, balling up snow from wherever he could grab it.
"Give up," he huffed, kneeling at her side. "I'm gonna—" West raised his arm above his head, aiming to pelt hers with his newest pile of snow, but he pulled up short, his other hand rising to his throat as his last snowball fell to the ground. The strangled sound he unconsciously produced was faint, but as he swallowed and his grin faltered, it was clear he wasn't going to attack. His fingers slipped under his scarf and came away red. He quickly swiped them through the snow.
"You win, c'mon." The desire to retaliate was still strong but he fought against it. There was no use in making his injuries worse, not when something more threatening than snow could attack at any time.

No way-! ... West? Levi had her voice set to argumentative when it appeared that West had backed down all on his own. Wiping down the white front of her coat, she rose to observe West's expression more closely. ... West? Why had he backed down? The wrath demon was most certainly not one to let her off easily; he had her. He had had her and was going in for the kill shot but stopped due to what seemed to be something painful if the sound he made was any indication.
His claiming she'd won would only further her confusion. Whaddaya'mean I won?! What's wrong with yew, boil? Then she saw red; red liquid that had been on his fingertips and then in the snow he'd run them against. Staring at the snow for a moment, the tatzel was able to understand or remember what was going on right now. It's that. I get'it. C'mere, West. Don'tcha think yer sleepin' it off 'er nothin'. We're goin' ta'ma place n' I'm patchin' yew up 'gain. Tch. Don't do nobody no good if yew wreck somethin' over'a bit'a fun. Taking West's arm in her clawed hand, Levi squeezed and pulled gently in the direction of the monster dorms. Her voice lowered, peering around for a moment to see if anyone was still there to potentially hear or see them. I think yew can do much better than this anywho, boil. If his neck injury was stopping him like this, he had a handicap in this fight that she wasn't aware of. Even if he had her, it wasn't West at his best. Levi didn't want to feel she'd only been taking him on while he dealt with a painful injury, oh no, she wanted it all to be fair and square.
She wanted him to heal. ... n' I won't go so easy on yew next time, ya hear? Of course, her compliment couldn't be said alone without a followup of some kind.

He nearly scrambled to his feet before she could rise, his upper lip lifting in a silent snarl. He didn't need her pity or her compassion or... No. This was okay. He still had to remind himself every so often, but everything was all right. West's clenched fists relaxed and he slowly straightened out of his tense crouch. Levi was not going to hold this against him or think him weak for looking after himself, even if he had waited until he was bleeding to do so. Although their early interactions had been fraught with struggles to grab the upper hand and machinations designed to keep injuries hidden, things didn't have to be that way all the time. Not now. They were still opponents—always opponents—but she could be his ghoulfriend too, even if it scared him more than he could say. Besides, he had attacked and defended admirably, all things considered.
"Yeah, I can," he replied, voice just as quiet as hers had been, though only partially for secrecy's sake. "Didn't do too bad this time neither. Woulda won if I'd kept it up instead of, y'know, mostly winnin'." His smirk was brief but telling. West would definitely be down for a rematch. He leaned into her for a moment, readjusting his scarf with his free hand. "Ya'd better not go easy," he said.
Looking around at the snowy carnage they had left in their wake, the boil's smirk returned, growing into his customary self-satisfied grin as he followed Levi and his arm toward the dorms. It was a beautiful kind of destruction, one he looked forward to repeating as soon as possible.
