"Ares... didn't... really tell me much," Aurora said quietly, her mood turned horribly somber. "I mean, I guess, maybe she was too busy or... I dunno. I have a lot of questions for her and there's just no way to ask." Questions about murder, Chaos, what and who they were supposed to be. All of them swarmed inside the poor senshi's head and never got a chance to pour out of it. This lady knew a lot more than she did, and she was apparently just a civilian. "So like, when you ask if I'm a parallel soul I uh, I really don't know. You sound like you know more than I do and that's kinda... " Odd. Upsetting. "...Disheartening."

Zia cringed. Aurora was a victim of Ares' if there ever was one, and if Orpheus had opened her heart to the possibility of such things existing just a crack, Aurora managed to kick it wide open.
"You shouldn't be discouraged," She said, crossing her arms and shifting her weight to one hip as she glanced away. "I've known Ares since before she was 'queen' of anything. I knew the queen before Ares. I've been... uh... I guess you could say I've been studying you guys before your court was even conceived."
And then a sort of ornery idea crept up in the back of Zia's mind. One that Zirconia was screeching about in the back of her mind, because the cat thought this was a very, very stupid offer. "If you have... uh... questions? I might be able to answer them."

Aurora blinked heavily. It seemed just so strange that this lady whose name she still didn't know knew everything there was to know about her. But Aurora was a trusting soul. If she knew something, maybe... maybe it could set her mind at ease. She took a deep breath. "Why Chaos?" Such a short question meant so much.

Zia was half expecting a question that would force her to blatantly lie about the source of her knowledge. But Aurora wasn't going to interrogate her about that, apparently. In fact she looked ready to accept whatever Zia had to tell her, and that gave the mirror-tweaked woman more pleasure than it probably should've.
"Why Chaos?" She repeated like it was so simple, but then as she tried to form an answer, she ended up asking questions right back. "Why Chaos what? Why does Chaos exist? How does Chaos work? Why are you Chaotic? Why is Ares?"
She rolled her shoulders in a shrug. "Why are the mirror people all Chaos?" So many questions. And Zia had answers for them all.

"... all of the above," Aurora answered. "The lines of good and evil seem horribly blurred to me. They say we're the bad guys, we say they're the bad guys. Yet apparently we're both murdering lunatics. So, I guess -- all of the above, plus what's the big diff?" She surely didn't know who was right or wrong in this war. All she knew was that a lot of bad stuff happened and the Dark Mirror Senshi wanted to go back home. What would she do with this information? If she found out she was apparently evil? ... well. Aurora didn't know. She just wanted to know the answers.

"Okay," Zia held out her hands like she could demonstrate some motion and froze. She wasn't even close to Zirconia's level of eloquence. The information was there, it was just a jumbled mess clogging in her head before the sentences formed, making awkward pauses.
"It's like, I guess it's like... Chaos is this whole other thing. It's like chicken pox-- no! It's like... like. It's a power source. I mean..." She frowned and glanced around, trying to think of where to even start. Until she framed it right with an 'aha!' "Oh, a lesson! A whole lesson on corruption! That's what we'll do. Did I bring my corruption files...?" For the subject being so solemn and poor Aurora's conflict, Zia seemed downright perky. She hadn't gotten to do senshi lessons in so long! Even if she wasn't currently in cat form and probably should not be trying to guardian cat a dark mirror senshi.
After so fishing, she pulled a tablet out of her messenger ago and pulled up her ever so organized notes and doodles on corruption and purification, flopping down on her butt and patting the space in front of her like a far, far too happy invitation.
"So when you were born your nice, normal little starseed was a White Moon one, you knew that, right?" She asked, scrolling through her notes. "Or were you a regular White Moon senshi who got turned? I dunno, I don't want to assume or anything~"

Aurora blinked and just plopped down right in front of her. Zia's disorganization actually seemed pretty normal to her, so they were kindred spirits in that regard! "Uhm.. I was.. I guess kind of in the middle of awakening, when Dahlia took me to Ares and she did her thingie and PCHOOO there I was a Dark Mirror senshi." Wow, that seemed like so long ago! "So I was gonna be a White Moon senshi? ... wow." The dark mirror senshi leaned forward, eager for more.

"Well basically you were born a White Moon senshi, but then Ares injected you with some Black Moon soul and now you're not," Zia decided to hedge and leave out her current theory about what that meant for the White Moon soul that was already residing in her.
"I mean, you only have one soul, where Ares and all the other mirror people before your court had two. Which is why I was looking at your eyes."

Welp, of course that made perfect sense. Mystery solved! We can all go home now! Er, no, not really. The confused senshi appeared even more confused. "That's the first time I ever heard of a Black Moon.. Okay so, are you saying.. uh.. Wait." Aurora had to pause to collect her thoughts. "What happened to the previous court? Are you saying that she basically inserted someone else's soul or replaced someone else's soul with mine?" The more she was learning, the more she just really wanted to go home. But alas, curiosity was one of the girl's downfalls.

"I dunno, I just investigate terrorists, I don't get super buddy buddy with them," Zia lied. Not all of her intentions were good.
"I would assume Ares killed them all. I mean, they all dropped off the radar and suddenly she's calling herself the new queen. Doesn't bode well for anyone who like the old queen if ya know what I'm sayin'."
She shrugged and stretched. "Maybe it's better to ask someone in charge of your whole weird little court thing, there's only so many answers I got, kid."

"Oh." She didn't even bother telling herself that that all made perfect sense. Not even a lick of sense. It would take much more than three licks to get to the center of this Tootsie Pop. The girl licked her lips before heaving a huge sigh. "Well all right. Give me all the answers you have." Maybe that would make it easier~ "And just what terrorists exactly?" she asked. "Who are you, anyway? Some super private eye civilian? I don't even know your name!"

"Well that'll take forever," Zia said in a cheeky tone, but it was mostly a joke. She liked people who wanted answers and didn't wall themselves into a happy little lie.
"Oh, I am Zee," She said, extending a hand. "I've been investigating the extraterrestrial populace for over three years now. And... you haven't seriously failed to notice, have you?" She glanced around. "To the rest of the world, who don't know about, you're known as terrorists. All of you; Senshi, Negaverse, Knights, all in the same group as far as humans are concerned."

Drat. If only they had forever to get through all of this! Aurora took Zia's hand immediately and shook. "Nice to meet ya, Zee! I'm-- oh, you already know, right? Ehehehehe, sorry. And uhm, I guess... I really... haven't. I honestly thought we were all s'pposed to hide from the public cuz otherwise they'd know about magic or I don't even know anymore." She pursed her lips in thought. "Uhhh.. this is really a lot to take in. Chaos versus Order, souls becoming twisted, magical mystery tours and whatnot. In fact, it's actually kinda depressing." You wouldn't have guessed it, the way she said it. That was, until her bubbly persona slowly faded away into a pensive frown, as if the news just sucked the life right out of her soul. "So uhm, I hope you find that guy for whatever reason you're looking for him, Zee. In the meantime, I think I need to go to bed. And eat ice cream." Lots of ice cream. Forever.

"I guess I'm a special case," Zia said with a weak shrug. She watched Aurora's mannerisms fade down. She felt a small pang of guilt she dismissed as misplaced.
She shouldn't feel guilty, she tried to remind herself. This girl was one of them.
"Okay," She said with a small nod. And then played with her fingers a bit. "If you ever need to come find me... I'm usually in this area. Or you can ask Lesath?"
She stopped and mentally slapped herself. No, she did not want to make friends with some random Dark Mirror Court silliness. It was extremely ill advised. She didn't rescind the offer, though. She just picked up her things and started walking.

Carneli Thanks so much for the RP biggrin Aurora stood there, watching the lady named Zee go. All of the emotions were there in her heart, feelings of loss and hurt, of pride and joy, love and maybe even some hate. And they all hurt like heck. But at least.. "At least I found a friend today," the young lady said to herself. That was always good. Yep. She smiled a meek smile and turned to head her own way. Optimism!.. woo.
