Jessie started to make a little pyramid out of the newly rolled clean bandages. Before long she wasn't even watching what she was doing, she'd gotten the knack of it so quick. Instead she leaned against the bench as she rolled another and listened intently to the Doctor.

"No, no, no, child. I joined the the UEFN after graduating medical school, as it was the best place to test my knowledge and to learn, as there was a war going on at the time. I'm reaching retirement age, so I was assigned to the Unity as a cushy last post, since I refuse to command a ship or take a station or planetary assignment."
She snorted.
"Some cushy post."
She smiled a little at Jessie's natural skills.

Finished with the bandages, Jessie put them neatly in the cupboard and mopped up any water she had spilled with a cloth.
"What else can I do?"

"Oh no, child. I will never retire, even halfway. I'd go sign up with someone else if I have to. Medicine is my calling. My lover. And all of my patients are my children."
She pointed towards a sleeping woman.
"Lance Corporal Samira need another dose of triamaline. Be a dear and administer it to her. You just press the nozzle to the throat, just behind the carotid artery."

~~~♥Jessie♥~~~ Jessie walked over to the sleeping woman and did as the Doctor asked. She had no idea what the carotid artery was but she guessed it was where the others had gone in, as there was a slight mark on her throat.
"You're like a captain who goes down with his ship."
Jessie said absently as she moved away from the sleeping woman and looked over the patient in the next bed who was also asleep.

Jessie looked up from the patient she was looking over and smiled at the Doctor.
"Don't worry, I'm sure Luna would fight tooth and nail to make sure everyone made it to where they have to get to. So, what's after this then, if you aren't going down with this ship?"
Jessie rounded the bed and placed a pillow underneath the man's ankles, straightening his posture.

Dr. Sadenes couldn't help but laugh.
"Child, after all this ruckus, I can't even plan an hour ahead, much less two years."
An SBA came up and whispered something to her. She nodded and the SBA ran off.
"It seems they finally opened up the Engineering section. We're about to be slammed with casualties, though not all of them are severely wounded. Most are going to be dead on arrival."

"I..I don't know if I can handle that much death. Blood is one thing... How does it affect you, when you see people you know and work with, come in with a sheet over them?"
Jessie moved out into the middle of the room and watched the door cautiously as if it might bark at her and n** her ankles.

Lord Redtail Rathan I think Ryan needs to come save her now... ~~~♥Jessie♥~~~ Jessie looked back at the Doctor, chewing on her bottom lip, she hugged herself as she faced the door again and the first white sheets appeared. Jessie let out a soft whimper. She had probably passed some of these people in the halls and everyone had been so nice and accommodating. She couldn't bear to recognize someone.

Wife of Eventide They don't wheel people in white sheets into Sickbay. If they're already dead, they don't even go to Sickbay. Only living people go to Sickbay.

 Little Forsythia Thorn was lost again in this huge ship yet again. She already had the bridge officer escort her back to her room twice now and the poor lady was already embarrassed about it. Her robes dragged on the ground as her bare feet touched the cool metal beneath her with every step. Currently she didn't have her staff which most people associated with a Druid. She somehow found her way to the sickbay where she recognized the Doctor when she first came onto this ship since she had a rare case of motion sickness. She didn't recognize the red head however. They seemed to be talking so she stood there awkwardly waiting to be acknowledged for she didn't want to rude.
