If Caelia had been older Tien would've considered climbing a tree to make the chase more interesting, but such as it was hiding behind trees was fair game at least. "We'll see about that!" She teased, laughing as she ducked behind a tree. Augury would catch her one way or the other eventually.

 Oh, at this rate, Tien would not need to wait long to be able to include tree-climbing in the list of mischief to cause. Every day that passed was more experience for Caelia, and as the more time passed, the more mobile she became.
She ran past the tree at first, not having noticed that the orange-haired goddess had stopped to hide. It took a moment for her to stop and pause, a look of confusion crossing her features until she looked back.
Ha ! Clever.
Still, Caelia was not hot on the trail again.

Tien waved at Caelia when the little goddess finally spotted her before taking off again. Where to hide next? They probably shouldn't run through the teahouse as that was bound to cause a disaster to happen. The fountains did not seem a terribly safe idea either- god children were probably tougher, but no sense in testing that theory on risking one of them slipping and falling.
Since Trickery seemed to be short on ideas there was something she could do in the meantime, that Augury likely wouldn't expect. She turned, doubling back and running past her.

Yes, Caelia did not see the turning coming either. But the message was clear - expect tricks, and expect a loty of them. There were only so many times she would get tripped up like this, after all !
She was hot on Tien's trail again - she definitively ran fast ! - but she did eventually catch up and tag, before bolting in turn.
Hmmm.... What tricks could she use ?

"Oh! You got me!" Tien pouted, though she wasn't really upset.
She gave Caelia a few seconds to get a head start, before heading after her. It would give Augury time to think about where to hide, or what trick to try and play. Trickery was curious to see what would come up with- children often came up with interesting, if somewhat silly ideas.

Ah !
She ran behind a teahouse, but instead of turning around and continuing on, she ducked inside and hid. When Tien would pass her, she would dart back out and run in the other direction.
At least, that was the plan. And it waS a flawless plan it was, of course.

Tien did spot Caelia before she disappeared behind the teahouse, so she followed after her. When the little goddess was not still there waiting for her she began to suspect what might have been going on- she could not have gone too terribly far after all. Trickery headed past the door, stopping far enough off that the little goddess would think she had gone by and waited.
Her plan was to sneak up on Augury when she finally decided it was safe to come out of the teahouse.

Caelia's patience was not exactly her greatest virtue, either, so Tien did not need to wait too long for the inevitable to happen. First a little head peeked out, and then Caelia ran for it.
And only noticed her playmate too late - which only made her run faster. This one goddess clearly wasn't going down without a fight !

Tien waited patiently, perhaps a bit too long, and Caelia spotted her.
Drat! Well, there went that plan!
She headed off after Augury again. Damn that little girl was fast!

And Caelia was indeed fast - one only had to ask her father, who was most often tasked with catching her.
Of course, daddy cheated all the time, as far as Caelia was concerned.
There would be quite a few more back and forth before the little girl seemed to finally tire - and what better than a nap ? The teahouse's cushions would be perfect for such a thing, and so she curled up on one to sleep in mid-session, and quickly drifted off to sleep.
It was only instants later that Ankou finally made his move - though Tien had likely felt his presence a long time ago. He came into sight with only the fainted sound of air moving out of the space his body was now taking, crouching to carefully take his daughter into his arms. The girl seemed to instinctively know who he was, and settled closer against him with a content sigh, never awakening.
"It certainly looks like you gave her a run for her money." And likewise - he had watched most of it, after all.

"Well, it looked like the children needed to get their play in." It was hard to tell if he was joking or not, as he usually was. He knew full well that his children - all of them - were adorable, but he had no idea where that had come from. Not him, that was for sure.
"I would apologize for having you end up as impromptu babysitter, but it looks like you enjoyed it just as much as she did." Hah. Though if Caelia was starting on the escape artist antics, then her siblings were likely not too far behind.

"Probably for the best. I do not think Cosine knows that she escaped yet." And it might be for the best if she did not figure this out. He would deal with it, and instruct the aoidei to be more careful with the little escape artist. There would not always been someone handy to keep Caelia's attention.
