Sherry might have felt a little bit bad about picking on him. A little. Except for the fact that this was Jake. As far as she was concerned, he could handle it. She still remembered what her face had looked like after Jenga.
She didn't say anything this time, though, as she stepped back and took another swing at him. She simply smirked at him.

Sherry's smirk was answered with a scowl of his own as he lashed out at her again.

Armagnac managed to say something coherent. Late, but the joy of a decent battle had gotten in the way. Fine, Sherry answered even as Jake swinging at her. It wasn't a bad hit, and she figured she should be happy he wasn't totally humiliating her. Of course, that could very well change, depending on what her next action brought about. Taking a few steps back, Sherry reached for her flask with her left hand. "Alright, we can see what it does, I suppose." She had it open in a flash, and she took a quick swallow before putting the thing away again. The familiar warmth of wine ran down her throat, and another familiar feeling crept over her. The feeling of a fear shield being repaired. "Well, that's interesting. Shall we continue?" Sherry figured they could go another couple rounds before she made her final verdict. Jake only arched an eyebrow when she pulled out the flask and took a sip from it.
Part of him was curious to see what would happen, but another part of him told him to take the chance to get in another attack.
Jake huffed. Of course, Chester would be the former.
When Sherry finished and grinned at him, he gave her a bored look.
It didn't LOOK like anything happened, but regardless, he should be weary.
"If you pass out from that, I'm not carrying you to the infirmary."
And with that, he answered her question with another strike.

The hit Jake gave her that time was a good one. Even caused her to take a couple of steps back in order to recover.
"I really doubt one sip is going to cause me to pass out. It took far more than that the other night." Still, her next attempt at an attack could hardly be called such. And really, she couldn't even blame it on the wine.

Causing her to stumble back, Jake was slightly pleased with himself.
Only slightly this spar was FAR from over, and wow, he was still so rusty.
When she implied that she had tried the liquid before, Jake only arched his eyebrow. So she tried before? And... it made her nearly pass out.
He wasn't even sure what to think of that thing anymore., so instead of responding, he just attacked.

Armagnac was yelling at her now.
Sherry really didn't think the wine would have gone to head yet, she didn't have that much, really. It wasn't something she really had time to focus on. Not with the way Jake was hitting.
"Glad to see you step things up," she grinned again as she came in for a counter attack.

She saw that look. "I honestly was, you know. It's been helpful, thus far. I'm pretty sure the wine repaired my fear shield, at least until you tore it down again."
"I'm half tempted to take another sip," she mused, taking another swing at him.

"Maybe if you focused." he muttered.
Really. He was starting to get cocky now.
When Sherry mentioned she wanted to take another sip, he frowned again, and touched a hand to his sash. He had no intentions of letting Sherry drinking that again, ESPECIALLY if it was wine. Hell, he didn't want to be fighting a drunk, giggly Sherry. No. SO MUCH NO.
He de-summoned one of the blades, using his free hand to pull the dagger out, using that to attack instead.

Armagnac stopped yelling long enough to make one simple comment.
"Not bad, even Armagnac says so," Sherry grinned at him. Her shield was falling. She knew that much. Maybe it was about time to try that wine again. See if it's effect was the same the second time.

It didn't do as much damage as he'd liked, but it was better than nothing.
The attack left him slightly drained though, so he only hoped he could end the battle quick before making a fool of himself.
Shoving the dagger back in his sash, he summoned the other tonfa again, panting slightly.
"Thanks." he muttered. "Guess I lucked out when grabbing one of those artifacts."
Now if only he could learn to use it to its fullest potential.
Before he could attack again, he caught that look.
HE CAUGHT THAT LOOK, SHERRY.
"I swear, if you get drunk or high from that, I will not hesitate to knock you out."
It was an empty threat though, because he didn't have the energy to deliver a blow, and ended up missing.

"Armagnac says you did. I think I agree," she was reaching for the flask again as she spoke.
"I'm not getting drunk off of it," she was rather good at opening it and holding the glaive at the same time. "I'm running an experiment." And she took another quick swallow.

It was like she was doing this. On purpose. Just to spite him.
"Stop." he muttered, clearly ticked off.
Having caught sight of the liquid that was inside, he was quite certain wine wasn't BLUE, and didn't GLOW.
HELL no, I just want her to FIGHT me properly, but apparently, she seems more insistent on intoxicating herself.

"Stop what? I told you, I wanted to test this stuff." She looked thoughtful for a moment. She felt no effect on her shield that time.
"It definitely repaired my shield earlier, but fear the effect might be limited," she followed the statement by taking another swallow. The wine, however, was certainly not limited.
She put the flask away and grinned at Jake. "That might be enough for now."
