Rory's eyes widened when Xander called out his next attack. He didn't remember Rei knowing that move! He fought back a small, proud smile. His little brother had been training after all.
"Stella, Discharge!"
The Pachirisu sighed when she realized what the ponyta was doing. While Rei was soaking up the sun, she charged herself up before sending all of the electricity Rei's way.

Xander grinned at the look on Rory's face and rocked on his heels. "Rei, Flamethrower!" Rei huffed at the Pachirisu effectively lowering the same amount of HP she had just gotten back then attacked with another stream of fire.

Stella let out a loud cry as the next blast of fire hit her head on. She was really starting to hate the fire! She whimpered but pulled herself up, unleashing another Thunder towards the Ponyta.

And more fire! Stella really hoped the next time her trainer battled someone, they wouldn't have a fire type. She got distracted with that thought and didn't manage to get away in time. She let out a "chi!" before attacking with her teeth again.

Both Stella and Rory breathed a sigh of relief when the squirrel pokemon managed to scurry her way up another tree to get out of the way of the flames.
"That a girl, Stel!" Rory called to her, "Now get her with Thunder!"
"Su!!!!!!!" The pokemon cried out as she sent another bolt towards Rei.

This wasn't looking good for them, Rory thought, as his pokemon was hit by another Flare Blitz. He would definitely have to go down by the river or find a lake to train while he was gone. At least he hadn't bet Xander anything.

The Pachirisu cried out as the flamethrower made contact with her and caused her to collapse in pain. She attempted to get back up before passing out.
