Mark preened, finger just hovering over the name. "Yes indeed, I have most of the logged content of certain probably important individuals that may or may not be of interest to you, however," He casually leaned out of reach, tilting the screen away, "I don't think you were very nice to me a moment ago. You didn't truly appreciate me."

A long stare.

"Mark," said Gale, in the most placating tone he could possibly muster, which was probably not very placating at all. "Remember that time you said you needed new shoes..?"

Desperate times call for desperate measures, after all.

"Uh-huh," Continued Mark, suddenly very interested in looking at his nails, "And what was that about Miniskirt Mondays again?"

Another long pause.

"I can ask. But I won't promise anything."

Mark eyed Gale suspiciously. "Hmm...... shake on it."

He held out his hand.

He was going to regret this.

He was really going to regret this.

With a sigh, Gale reluctantly stuck out his hand and gingerly took Mark's.

"There."

"YOU ARE THE BEST BRO-MAN! MINISKIRT MONDAYS HERE WE GO!" Mark tried to grab a hold of Gale enough to smother the Death Hunter in an extremely smelly hug, ended up tripping over the fencing of his bed, as he pretty much topped unceremoniously on top of the other-

- Just as the Moon Hunter attendant came in to see. "... Do you two need a moment?"

"Nah, man, we're done here." Mark was totally pleased, snapping his fingers, "You may wheel me out, healing minion."

She gave him a look of extremely long suffering, and then Gale a look that said you better appreciate this as she wheeled Mark's bed out of the room.

The tablet was also left on Gale's bed, still running. It seemed Mark had also managed to find a half-used stick of Vaseline that he had written on the back "For Miniskirt Monday BROS."

The current screen simply read:

Deus Ex Machina information Archive:
Password required:

Congrats Gale on your new tablet, aren't you a special one?
- These archives show base information on various Hunter mission logs, though a lot of information has simply been deleted because of whatever Mark said, geek talk here. However, some salvaged files might be of important information.
- yes guess the password, look Mark just gave it away. Yes it has to be all lower case and one word.
- This information is open for Gale to access. More information may be added in the future.
Hint? Looking for more information? Look for links scattered on the pages.

While Gale gave a shout of mingled protest and pain (Mark had landed on his injured arm, which was not pleasant whatsoever), Jinhai laughed uproariously inside of his head and the Moon attendant on duty merely gave them a Look that indicated she was quite done with the both of them.

"Oy vey," Gale muttered, dragging himself back up and dusting his hospital whites off as Mark was wheeled away. He started to climb back into bed, but a flash of something silver caught his eye just before he did -

- the tablet thing. Gale blinked, momentarily taken aback, and then glanced around, wondering if a) Mark had forgotten it, and b) if he should return it or not.

Then he saw the note on the back and promptly threw both of the above options out the window.

Settling back into the bed, Gale absently tapped a finger against the side of the computer screen. He could look at these files if he wanted to - once he figured out the passcode, that was - but what would it mean to him if he did? He had failed to acquire the position of Division Assistant, but Marcus had already told him that rather than taking two steps back, he'd taken several forward. Not to mention that with the council dead, there was a fair bit of positions open within the divisions, positions he would be more than capable of handling.

Or so he thought. Gale hesitated, then typed in miniskirt mondays.

Bzzt.

He tried another.

Bzzt.

Minions.

Bzzt.

Bros before hos.

Bzzt.

However, after several (failed) attempts at discovering the passcode, Gale finally managed to figure it out (and roll his eyes at it as well), and within seconds a list of names had appeared, one by one, on the screen. He scrolled through them, ignoring the majority (many had been removed from the database already) until he found the one he was looking for.

Benjamin Summers.

His finger hovered over the name briefly, Gale's heart thumping in his chest. It had been a long time. A very long time. He had come to terms with Ben's death, and he had learned how to deal with the very real probability of dying on the island. Things changed. People changed, people moved on, people died. He himself had come a long way.

And now he would go even farther. Marcus was right, Gale thought, his brows drawing together as he set his jaw.

I haven't moved back. I've moved forward.

Gale took a deep breath, held the tablet up, and pressed a finger to Ben's name.
