"Aaaand," Knots trotted up beside Delta, chiming in. "He knows tricks!"

Knots took out a rope toy and waved it in front of the little dog. The little dog turned and looked (presumably he looked, all that was to be seen was the whole of this black head turning around to face the rope) at the toy and wagged his tail furiously.

"Play dead," Knots said.

The little dog rolled in a dramatic circle before falling on his back. His tail, however, betrayed his acting because it wouldn't stop wagging.

"Oh, that's easy," Knots whispered back. "I taught all the grown dogs tricks to make up for not being puppies," she said proudly. "I even taught a few cats some tricks, but that's harder to do."

Knots watched the little dog meet the approval of the foal's parents and they took their newfound friend over for official purchase and certificates. Knots looked at all the other dogs and cats that needed homes, as well.

"We've got still some work to do, though," she turned and looked to Delta from over her shoulder, giving an ambitious grin. "Let's see if we can at least get a few more adopted before the day is out."
