"You don't like me as I am either. " he smirked, almost teasing in his tone.
"And no, I just said most of them are cocky brainless bastards. You are still pretty ******** cocky sometimes when you have no right to be." He closed his eyes, just floating smugly as he fought to keep the grin off his face. "I didn't mean she wanted to be the man." he said innocently. "I mean picking the runty long haired guy to be his fancy pants scythe, I don't think that was what she was going for."

"No I don't, I like you when you're like this, when you aren't trying to cleave my arm off."
Still treading water he shrugged a bit before flipping onto his back again ridding the waves lazily closer and closer to the shore. "Because if I don't act like something... honestly I'm afraid everyone on the island would just... crush me. Not to be mean but, take Jerry, I don't want to end up like that any more then you would." Shifting again he treaded water focusing on Rep now. "Humor her then, why do you think she picked me? Why not I don't know Melvin, or Nevada?"

Rep again tensed up, irritably swimming away from Ro just a bit at the comment again on being attacked. His patience with having that brought up all the time was running low, if it was going to be like Ofie where it was thrown in his face at every opportunity possible, he was absolutely going to walk away. It happened, he knew it did, but he couldn't handle the twist of guilt when it was brought up and he wasn't in a violent mood.
"People on this island are a shower of cunts frankly. Self serving bastards who'd step over your dead body to get to their ambitions. Most of them are just ******** nice about it. I try to be more honest about it. I'll help people if they have problems with s**t and they ask for it, but I will wreck their lives if they get between me and my happiness. That's the only rules I live by. " His gaze flicked to Ro, and he deliberated whether to elaborate that he thought she picked him because he looked like the kind of guy strong muscled guys might, at a push be inclined to ravage, or to lie instead. "I dunno. I mean I'm betting Melvin's weapon chose him for the same reasons..whatever they might be."

He hadn't meant it as an insult, he honestly hadn't and when Rep swam away a small guilty frown crossed his face. He didn't know about Ofie, he barely knew about Candace, or what Sasha had done this time. All he knew is that right now on some strange level Rep wasn't angry at him and he had just screwed it up to some degree right there.
"I don't... I don't think anyone has stepped over me. Not even you. We just had... a really big misunderstanding." That would be the polite way of putting it. Moving back to the rock Roland climbed it's side sitting on the edge looking down at Rep, "Okay, well, I still don't know why they would pick us so let me try something else. This ones for Tracey and, I respect if either he, or you don't want to say but. Why Rep Tracey? Besides you know, being big enough to stand a remote chance of using you in the first place." He shook his head, "Awesome weapon and all but Tracey, you're like two feet taller then me and about twice as wide, no way in hell someone my size would be able to use him."

"Wasn't even a big misunderstanding, my reactions are just..serious, when I'm upset. Like I'm someone else." At least here, in the sea, in his place where he felt most at peace, it felt like someone else, that guy who got so ******** angry at everything and would tear down the world for the sake of revenge.
As he addressed Tracey directly, Rep frowned. He wasn't keen on relaying messages between the weapon and the outside world, normally he'd have said no. But the way Tracey's interest was seized by the question made him think that he would be insufferable for the rest of the day if he didn't at least let him talk.
With a sigh he simply let Tracey speak in his thoughts, relaying each word in the manner it was said, almost eerie given that Tracey lacked Rep's guttural accent, and in the mimicking of the words, he dropped it in favour of the fallen angel's clear speech. He closed his eyes to concentrate, the water comfortable and still shallow enough to be warm.
""
He cut Tracey's words off abruptly, defensive as he realised what he was saying.
heal things.> He finished off in Rep's thoughts. <> live here.>
Rep made a face and waved a hand dismissively. "Whatever the ******** that sappy crap means. He talks a lot of s**t sometimes I swear. "

"Doesn't matter much now. We're past it.... right?" A slight tinge of worry clipping his words. He hoped they where, sort of. Jordan had helped but things had gone on since then, nothing terrible had really happened, they had just simply avoided each other. And Ro tried to ignore the thought of the things Rep said regarding Ceres. She was alive. That's all that really mattered.
For a while Ro just listened though, focusing on the strange shift in Rep's voice as he tried to mimic the speech of the Fallen Angel he had only heard once when they shared cake with Candace and the other weapons.
"Twisted and Noble, an interesting way to put it Tracey." he sat up a bit straighter on the rocks leaning back on his hands watching and listening when it all suddenly was cut off. He was hurt, some how that wasn't a surprise. It lined up with things Jordan had mentioned, a tough past, something about his mother from the way Rep seemed to get worked up about her. Maybe not worked up, but the very cold and dark attitude he took on back during the horsemen illusions when fighting with Melvin.
"It might be sappy. But it sounds like he really does care about you Rep, and whatever he was saying at the end I don't know, doesn't sound too much like s**t." He paused for a moment before speaking again.
"Sylvia said it was because I seemed broken. I was lost like ship on the sea. I didn't have a proper home, maybe not the way you talk about home, but home for me was miles and miles away and even then it was broken." He reached up flicking the ear ring where Sylvia dangled. "Because she found me amusing...." He frowned, "Apparently I'm naive and gullible and she finds that cute...." He rolled his eyes. "But she agrees with Tracey. We all need each other in the end."

Rep seemed to drift back into his closed and irritable posture as Ro addressed Tracey again. He'd volunteered to let the fallen angel speak, but in retrospect regretted it, feeling uncomfortably vulnerable and awkward. He didn't like to talk about his past, even in the form of vague insinuation, because the reaction tended to be people feeling as if he was somehow lesser, deserving of pity. And he loathed that. Things just were and that was all there was to it. Things happened, you kept going.
"Whatever. I was a useful person, he picked me, everyone's out for themselves, he's not much different."
There wasn't a fraction of sympathy from Rep as Ro spoke of his erratic and broken concept of home. The redheaded man's resolve to simply accept things and deal with them extended more often than not to other people. He didn't pity, he didn't think that it was a shame. It just was.
"Maybe she just wanted someone she was smarter than if she gravitated to naive and gullible. Women are sneaky as ********. Things they find "cute" they usually mean things they can control and keep like a pet. "

Roland continued to watch, Rep's posture said plenty, "Sorry if uh asking that was rude, I know you treat weapons a bit differently then some people. But thank you, for letting him answer." Standing up on the rock again he stretched getting ready for another dive before smirking.
"Careful Rep, she's used the word 'cute' for you a few more times then you would like."
<< DON'T TELL HIM THAT!! >>
He simply started laughing, "Oh for once she's upset with me for saying what she's been saying for ages." He followed it up with another smooth dive into the waves cutting through them before popping up a few yards off from Rep swimming on his back lazily again.

Rep simply floated where he was, watching Ro with apparent thoughtfulness. He was tempted to turn aggressive, to say that no b***h would ever possess him, to fly off the handle and get angry at the insinuation that he was cute after laying out his implications of that.
But he didn't. Instead he decided to be passive aggressive.
"You know you'd have a lot more friends if you didn't always tell them every gruesome nuance of your perverted weapon?" he swam backwards lazily. "I wouldn't have hated you so much if you hadn't repeatedly told me your weapon was in your head getting off to the idea of my boyfriend."
He smirked. "Tracey thinks a lot of s**t man. I just don't tell the whole ******** world it all."

Moving through the water some more he finally stopped swimming circles and going under the waves to just paddle and watch Rep as he spoke.
"It's not that... I mean I have friends." He frowned a bit and glanced away out towards the ocean. He remained silent treading water for a while pondering Rep's words before bowing his head a bit, "Sorry... I didn't mean to make things worse with it." What more could he say honestly?

Rep smirked, he didn't actually mean to be cruel, but his brutal honesty just didn't have a stop sign anywhere in sight. The idea occurred to him so he absolutely had to share it.
"It's advice man. We all have voices in our heads, they all say some frankly ******** embarrassing s**t. But its when you tell people that s**t it gets awkward. It'd be like me telling I dunno, Jerry. That Tracey thinks he's ******** adorable. "
< He is. He needs romance in his life William. It would make him better. >
"If that wouldn't make s**t weird as ******** between us in Sun, I don't know what the ******** would."

"Yeah. It makes sense." He tilted his body back again floating lazily in the waves once more as he watched the cloudy sky above. It always seemed cloudy. "That is... seriously?" He tipped himself back proper into a treading position looking at Rep with a raise eyebrow. "okay, you have a point..." He shook his head slightly pondering it some more.
"But I mean, don't you think the weapons would be happier if they could speak to more then just us? You saw what they all did when they got hands on our phone and twitter... they gossip pretty bad but I guess it's because they get bored a little bit talking to the same lone person all the time."
<< Yes and no, we do choose our company personally. But I would love to have cake with Tracey and Atropse again. We could invite B0nez and Ferros too~ >>

"No, I don't. Tracey's happy in my head, he had his life. This is something after, something other. He's not my kid, he's not my pet. I don't ******** let him out to play or to frolic with the other kids. I don't want gossip from people's weapons, its unprofessional and ******** awkward." The only golem he'd really gotten along with was B0nez, and that was because he seemed completely normal. Just an average guy with amazing skills. The rest, he could deal with never encountering ever again.
Tracey agreed. Rep actually winced, whenever Tracey so much as mentioned the other weapon he was struck by a deep, aching longing that had nothing to do with his own emotions.
"They aren't people anymore. You don't need to be Ro AND Sylv to all the world. Because it's ruining friendships that Ro on his own could have had."

"To each there own I guess." He flicked his ear again the scythe swaying side to side as he worked his way to the rocks again. "Maybe not so much gossip next time. Probably a one time deal so they did what they could do."
Eventually he was back on the rock again looking away from the island back turned to Rep before looking over his shoulder, "I never thought of it that way really. I guess...." He thought about it for a moment. "I guess I'm still getting used to it. The parts of me before the island, and now that I'm here mixed with a weapon."
He stood there for a bit longer, "You think I still have a chance for those friendships she might have hurt?"

"You get used to it eventually but there's s**t you need to consider with weapons that was just like never an issue before. I'm just pointing s**t out I've noticed myself." He shivered, the warmth really going out of his body, he'd been in far too long.
"And you are asking the wrong guy about how salvageable friendships are. Most of mine end up past the point of no return. I'm no good at grudges for like, too long. I get bored."
He swam to the shore and finally climbed out of the water, heading up the sand to where he'd stowed his things, shaking off a towel before wrapping it around himself. Strolling back to the water's edge he gestured. "It's too ******** cold."
