Yashi sat next to his father Yukito during the funeral, not really thrilled to be surrounded by the varying emotions of those around him. Some were genuinely sad, others were irritated at being there, many were indifferent. He didn't know Mr. Ryo Ree well, honestly he couldn't even think of anything he knew about the man. Still he was more than willing to be respectful considering his parents had asked him to come. Toya leaned around his husband and shot his son a brief smile to tell him it was nearly over, signing that it would probably be finished within a half hour. Yashi nodded, turning his attention back to the ceremony and trying to follow what was being said. He was having trouble since the minister or who ever he was kept turning away so he couldn't read what the man was saying. Patently he did his best to follow along, piecing together what he could. When he was allowed to get up and wander around for a while Yukito told him with his hands to behave and to come back within an hour so they could leave. Yashi nodded and smiled, going to wander around the strange place. Finding a library he looked inside, wondering what kinds of books were inside. He could feel two others inside which made him advance nervously. It felt like they knew they shouldn't be there and were afraid of being caught. Looking around one of the corners he saw Alex and Tenshi. He smiled softly to the younger males, coming out where they could see him. Lightly he patted Alex's head, signing that he should probably get back to his family soon. Most of the adults had been preparing to leave.

Alex couldn't sign but he read fairly well e wrote on some note paper that Tenshi was fawning over a book. She wanted to take it home with her but forgot it. Alex grabbed the book and regarded it two Tarot sized cards fell, out one had a small boy and the name "The Fiery" on it the other had a female wrapped in wings and said "The Watery" Alex picked them up and offered them to Yashi. He was hoping he picked the fire elemental as Alex always loved the ocaen but wouldn't be mad either way.

Tenshi realized that he had fogotten the book halfway home. He cursed himself before deciding to go back after Sakura and Li had gone out to dinner. But somehow one of the cards, Freeze he believed it was called, had somehow managed to end up with him. How, since he never opened the book, was a mystery to him. 'Freeze, huh?" he said as he held up the card. It was somet type of animal with a jewel in the middle of its forehead.

Yashi smiled as he read the note that Alex had written, nodding and looking at the book curiously. He was surprised when he saw it, knowing that he should recognize it for some reason. The older teen took the Fiery card, looking at the star on the back before remembering something about these cards. Quickly he took the paper and pencil to write out a quick message to Alex since he doubted the younger male could read well enough to follow what he was saying. The note said "This looks like the Clow Cards that Aunt Sakura used to tell me stories about. But it was just a story right?"

"What are you asking me for? I don't know anything." Alex Looked at the remaining card it didn't move or anything he wasn't sure what was supposed to happen. Alex wrote down to tell Yashi his thoughts. "Didn't they come alive when the book was opened?" Alex regarded the tome he was certainly not going to open it and without the key Sakura wore it was impossible regardless.

Yashi nodded slightly as he read the note that Alex wrote, feeling the other teen's uncertainty and nervousness. When the younger male asked about if the cards had come alive in the story he nodded, signing that they had dispersed when one of the cards had been read. He took his card and put it in his pocket, signing to the other male slowly that he would ask later when he had time and that they should probably put the book back where it had been before.

Later that night, when Sakura and Li had gone out, Tenshi dressed in black and prepared to go get his book back. He paused in his dressing. His? Since when did he become so possessive of a book? The Freeze card was hidden under his pillow, out of sight. No way did he want either of his adoptive parents to find out. Especially Sakura who would probably freak if she saw it (Hey, Shanks. It's me Dragon Queen but I go by this name now. My last account got banned. Don't ask.)

Alex regarded the card as he sat at his desk in his room the card said The Watery and had a mermaid little girl on it and a sleeping expression on her face. He wondered what it would do if it was up maybe the stories he was told were true... Regardless of this nothing was happening with the darn thing. "Hmm he said the cards woke up when one of their names were read aloud but the book wasn't open last I saw it so I'm betting it won't work." Alex shrugged and put it on his desk and got dressed for bed.

Yashi was home with his parents before he felt brave enough to ask about the strange card they had found in the library. Nervously he showed it to the two men, expecting to be yelled at. When they asked where he had found it he explained that Alex and one of the other children had found the book and were playing around with it when the cards had slid out. The two older males exchanged a look before Toya said he was going to call his sister. Yashi felt bad, like he had done something really wrong but Yukito told him it was alright and hugged him. Feeling that neither of his parents were mad he relaxed. ((Uh yeah, definitely doesn't work like that. The whole series is on Youtube if you want to go catch the first episode. And since Clow, the creator of the cards, was half English I'm pretty sure they aren't a 1000 years old. Pretty sure. Oh, and most of them stuck around the area where Sakura lives. She never had to go very far for them. A majority of them showed up around her house or school.))

Alex looked out the window and saw Tenshi running towards the Manor for some reason he got his jacket on and sneaked past his parents. He put "The Watery" In his pocket he decided that he could follow Tenshi and put the card away before he got in trouble for having it. It was a cold windless night the Manor was about two blocks form his house. If magic was real and these cards woke up..well he certainly wouldn't be bored for awhile he thought to himself.

(Skimble, we aren't going exactly to be like the show) Tenshi decided to bring Freeze with him, since he didn't want it accidentally discovered. He quickly shimmed up the gates until he wa sover them, landing on the grass. He knew the door would be locked, but that wouldn't be a problem. He picked the lock, checked around the perrimter before heading inside and towards the book. He had no idea why he was doing this. It was insane, but he couldn't stop.

OOC: I suppose its more interesting this way regardless. Alex entered the house and followed Tenshi he was sure he didn't notice him. It was about 10pm at night and Alex was wondering why Tenshi snuck in here. Whatever for? He thought to himself The Watery card seemed to feel a bit damp which was odd as he never hit a puddle. He watched behind a bookcase as Tenshi headed for the Book of Clow. (I hope thats not godmodding)

AS he got closer to the Book, the room started to feel very cold all of a sudden. That was odd since it was pretty warm outside. And as he got closer to the book, the colder it became until he could pratically see his breath in the air. What in the world was going on?

OOC: I'll make sure Alex came out of hiding to see Tenshi touch the book. "Wait!" Alex tried to stop Tenshi form opening the book but slipped onto his bottom form a puddle that wasn't there before. "Ugh.... Wait if our cards are reacting to the book what about Yashi he took a card called "The Fiery" He might be hurt or worse if the cards are causing their elements to come out." Alex was worried but he didn't see any ice except the puddle maybe Yashi was just really hot or perhaps because he wasn't near the book it didn't affect him till the Seal was broken.

Tenshi fell back in surprise when he heard Alex's voice. 'Ah!" he cried, his hand reaching from something to hold on to which just happened to be the Book of Clow. Tenshi landed on his back and the book along beside him. 'Ow..." he muttered, sitting up and looking over at Alex. "What the heck?1" he said, standing up and walking over to Alex. "You mean this?" he asked, pulling out Freeze only to find the damn thing or card was half forzen and the temputure in the room plummeted.
