A hiss escaped his lips as the shadow creature bypassed her defenses and clawed at him.
SHUT UP already.
He wanted to, but knew she was doing this because... well, frankly, neither of them would last if they were both just lashing out randomly.
They were just lucky the other creature was just watching them, not making any movement to attack. If it did, they were both dead.
He only shot her a look that said "focus".

It didn't dissuade her, though. She was doing what she could continue blocking. Shadow monsters were not friendly.
