Chaonis was not known for being a good and stalwart soldier of the White Moon. He did not go around preaching for its sake, nor did he go out of his way to defend the White Moon as a whole. But he was, in his way, a loyal senshi and he believed in what he was doing, even if he was doing it his own way.
At the end of the day, he was keeping people safe. He was making sure others like him had the means to defend themself, and while his training tactics sucked and were infuriating and certainly dangerous, he was still doing his best to empower other senshi.
His advice was often self centered and simplified, but he didn't see the need in making things more complicated than they had to be. He was awakened like this for a purpose, and he was not the kind of guy who could be swayed from that. Ever. He watched her as she laughed and didn't push he subject, figuring she had been fighting some inner demon about it and not wanting to push it again.
He patted her hard on the shoulder, either to tease her as he grinned ear to ear or, in his very limited capacity, offer her some comfort. A sharp jolt of comfort. he was not the most sympathetic or caring guy, so things like feelings were difficult.
He'd rather just be punching things.
"I think I'm done for tonight," he said, the pain in his side becoming a bit too much even for him, "but if you want to call me and hook up for some patrol, I guess that's fine by me." He grinned at her. "I wouldn't blame you, I want to patrol with me."
