"Fine, fine." Candace huffed, her hands on her hips and her lips pouted with frustration. She was being nice, what the hell was his problem? She wasn't trying to rile him up or kill him or make him angry or start a fight outside of this spar. What the hell did she need to do?! Ugh. He charged at her and Candace stood ready to bolt around him and duck away from his axe..until he jumped. Her eyes widened, she gasped, and she dove out of the way to one side far from the crazy Scotsman with the huge axe. She avoided it, she dodged it too easily. Candace laid on the ground with her hand against her chest over her racing heart, her eyes wide and gazing up at the sky. Holy s**t. Hooooly s**t. What the ******** just happened? When she felt more composed she sat up and searched for Rep, finding him laying on the ground not far off, his weapon gone. "Rep?" She raised a brow and stood, keeping Atropos summoned out of completely distrust. He could be faking it to get her guard down and attack her when she wasn't expecting it. "Rep, I'm not falling for it." Candace crossed her arms and glared down at him and waited. She waited. And waited. And waited some more. ...I don't think he's faking. Atropos sounded much calmer now compared to before Candace had used up her first charge, and Candace had to agree with her this time. The weapon was dismissed as Candace got down on the ground beside Rep and immediately pressed her fingers to Rep's throat, sighing with relief when she felt a pulse. "You idiot." She shook her head and carefully rolled the man onto his back. Unconscious. Ugh. She was not carrying him again, that had been ******** ridiculous last time. Instead Candace took out her phone and texted the first person she could think of. Toshihiko Two Text to Harrison:Rep and I were sparring and the dumbass knocked himself unconscious. Text to Harrison:I didn't do it this time. Promise. Text to Harrison:Help?

"I got it, I got it," Harrison said, jogging up even as Candace texted him.
"Really hit the ground hard with that one," he said, kneeling and gently checking Rep's neck. It was okay, far as he could tell. He pressed the ribs, arms- nothing looked broken. He inched the shirt up to see if any stitches had reopened. For the most part, Rep had just made a crater in the training field.
Harrison rolled him over, and his face was a mess of dirt. There was some blood, but just scrapes- shield must be down, Harrison noted, and took out a small pack, using a washcloth to towel the mud off.
"...Don't think he needs to go to the infirmary-" Harrison judged. He bandaged Rep's wrist to give Tracey an energy boost and thought aloud, "but his shoulders aren't gonna do him any favors."
He tied off the bandage, then patted Rep's cheek. "Hey. You with us?"

Rep wasn't sure where he was or what had hit him as he came back to conciousness, at first he was sure he must have just dozed off, that he was in bed in the room, squinting at Harrison. "Whittimeisit?" he slurred.
Pain came back in dull points all over his body, his shield was online again, he could feel Tracey assessing what he'd managed to do to himself, but nothing was fixed. It still took him a bit to even make head nor tail of any of it. He gave the sky a suspicious look.
"Why did you take me outside?"

And there was Harrison. Candace blinked and stared dumbfounded at her friend. Where the hell...was he stalking or something? "Were you already here or something?" She didn't usually notice if her spars were watched so it made sense if she just didn't realize he had come by...oops. "Mm. Apparently me hitting him in the face was too much for him." Candace turned her gaze down to Rep again. No infirmary trip? Oh thank god. She sighed with relief and sat back on the ground. "Good because I did not want to carry him again. He's ******** heavy."
His shoulders? He was wielding this thing with bad shoulders? This guy was insane. She was frowning until Rep woke up and asked the time...and why he was outside.
"Outside? What are you talking about?" Clearly you're seeing things, Rep.

"I got a new job. Sunny's got me watching the training fields and patching anybody that ovedoes it."
He smiled wryly at the question.
"You took yourself out," Harrison said. "...Can you sit up?"

The minute Rep heard Candace's voice, the relaxed, safe daze he'd been in vanished. Everything about his posture tensed up and he sat up awkwardly. He didn't argue with her the way he wanted to, to snap at her and bicker as always, just felt twisted up with resentment.
"Aye, I'm fine." he grunted, the open and almost gentle tone he'd been using mere seconds before gone as quickly as it appeared.
He rubbed the scuffed up bit of his face and glared intently at the ground, gathering his wits, intent on staying here no longer than he had to, he wasn't sure he could handle Candace gloating.

"Ohhh, that explains it! Well, I'll try not to stress you out too much." Candace chuckled, about to lean over and put her head on Harrison's shoulder while Rep regained his senses until the man actually sat up. Oh dear, someone was grumpy.
Candace smiled. "Good. On the bright side it wasn't me who kicked your a** this time." She wouldn't tell him how close he had been to hitting her. If he didn't remember it then fine, that was all well and good. "You okay to walk at all?"

Harrison folded his legs and checked Rep's shoulders and neck again, giving the knotted muscles an exploratory kneading. "Long as you're not dizzy. ...What about you, Candace, shield still okay?"

Rep wasn't sure if Candace realised that saying he'd kicked his own a** was the opposite of comforting to him or if she actually intended it as something pleasant. The fact remained all it did was drive the dagger of self loathing all the deeper into his ribs.
"Obviously." He snarled in response to her concern he was okay to walk. He made no move to stand though, holding obediently still for Harrison to poke and prod at him, just a little of the tension he was trying so hard to maintain in the face of Candace's scrutiny ebbing away.
He cringed as he asked about her shield. Of ******** course it was fine, he'd hardly dented it.

"It's not obvious when you're still sitting on the ground." Candace replied gently, forcing back the almost natural instinct to tack on 'dumbass' to the end of that statement. She was playing nice.
At Harrison's question she smirked, trying desperately to stifle the 'of course I am why would I be anything less with Rep around' grin that she really, really wanted to give her friend. "A bit banged up, his axe is a b***h to get a direct hit from, but other than a few scrapes I'll be fine." She raised her arms to look them over, noting the cuts were already starting to heal. She was glad she'd taken off her coat now. "See? Thank you for the concern though."

Harrison eyed the scrapes, then nodded- Atropos could take care of it.
"Alright," Harrison grumbled, feeling the lower back too, "this is gonna take some work. But," he pushed his thumbs in, the whole thing was knotted up, "I got some s**t I'd been wanting to try anyhow."
He stopped the exploration, then stood up and brushed the dirt off his knees, offering Rep a hand.
"I can finish back at the room." He quirked a smile at Candace, "Thanks for the text. You need anything, let me know."

Rep was being mostly quiet. Usually a sign in the absolute chatterbox of a man that he was on some downswing in mood. Candace as he guessed, confirmed that he'd managed overall to achieve very little, just the same as when he'd woken up from his pod.
Rep hissed through his teeth as Harrison hit a particularly tense spot, looking temporarily relieved as he let up and got up. He took his hand and carefully, still slightly dizzy, got to his feet. He didn't look at either of them, always uncomfortable when he had nothing at all to brag about and therefore no means to defend himself.

Strange. No bitching? No whining? No insults or false boasts of victory? Nothing? Candace eyed Rep curiously, wishing she could tell just by looking at him why he wasn't talking. He was usually so loud, so obnoxious. Her attention was drawn away from him by Harrison again, her expression softening as she gave him a genuinely warm smile and nodded her head. "I need more time with you, that's what." She leaned over and put an arm around Harrison's shoulders in a hug, nuzzling his cheek and then standing up. "I'll let you take care of Rep then. And Rep?" Candace looked annoyed now as she regarded him while standing above him.
Yes, she's looking down at you right now. Deal with it. "Try not to knock yourself out next time we fight? I'd rather win because of my skills, not your mistakes. It's no fun that way." Shaking her head, Candace sighed. It had been fun until he'd gone and ******** himself over with his own weapon. There would definitely be a next time. Candace wasn't satisfied with this 'win'.
"I'll see you later, Harrison." She waved to Harrison as she turned and left, stepping out of the large hole Rep had left in the ground and making her way across the field to collect her bag and coat. Happy?
You're disappointed.
Of course I am, I was finally starting to have fun. Candace whined like a pouting child, the tone of her complaining winning her a laugh from Atropos as she headed back to the dorms.
