Attacking Hekate
Ouch. He'd thought he'd pulled the punch but it obviously wasn't enough. Either that or he'd caught her that much off her guard. Z'fer laughed harshly, his voice raw with frusteration. "You call this easy?" He teased back. She was worth it. He knew she was but it was the biggest test of his patience he'd ever been put through. Waiting to become a Wingleader had been less painful than the majority of the last turn.
Z'fer let her catch her balance before pressing in again. "Every attack should have a purpose behind it." He grunted as he swung low for her torso. Again his speed was there but his full force was held back. "To injure, to incapacitate, or even to anger. Whether your intent is to just get away or to take them out fighting's not just about flailing and hoping luck rolls in your favor."

Attacking Z'fer
The kick once again caught her even as she'd been trying to get her bearings once again sending Hekate skidding to the ground on her side. For a moment she just lay there panting until slowly very slowly she dug her elbow into the ground dragging herself back up to her feet. "I-I know that!" She gasped out as she stumbled and stood. Gritting her teeth she forced herself forwards swaying badly and tried to take another swing at him, but missed her foot catching on the grass as she fell against him leaning into his form for support. Lifting one fist weakly she beat against his chest biting her lip in disappointment at herself even as her knees shook and she struggled to stand.
"I-I know~" Hekate gasped out and gave up. She was sore and tired and she'd had her practice and Z'fer was so warm and smelled so good. Shaking her head she rested her cheek against his chest looping her arms around his waist and sagging against him.

Z'fer was prepared for possibly a fiercer attack not for her to practically faint into his arms. He stepped forward and caught her up against him, his surprise and concern fading as he felt her fist strike against his chest. He smiled softly down at her, happy to hold her tight against him for a few moments as she caught her breath.
"Yes, you do." He agreed quietly. One hand stroked her face and lifted her chin as he bent to brush his lips against hers. In the same movement he swept his arm under her knees and lifted her into the air. He loved how small she was, even in his own tired state she was easy to carry back to Devith's side. Z'fer knelt slowly, reluctant to let her go again as he laid her beside her dragon. "You don't mind do you Devith?" Z'fer didn't bother to wait for a reply before he took a seat next to her.
"Soo... That was interesting." his hand sought hers and cupped her fingers. He couldn't help but give a self deprecating laugh. There was literally not a single moment where he didn't find her attractive. He'd even loved the sight of her when they were fighting though he hadn't wanted to admit it at the time.

Hekate didn't make so much as a peep simply leaning into his kiss as best she could then curling against his chest as he scooped her up.
Devith~ Came her exhausted thoughts as she felt her silver stir in response.
I do not like the bronze two-legger, but you are by my side so I shall tolerate him a while longer for your sake. Devith crooned low in his riders mind turning slightly to make the two. . .well more like one more comfortable. At least Z'fer had had the good sense to bring her to him. he would have complained had he gone to Calanoth. No matter how much he trusted his friend it was still his rider who was exhausted and he wished to protect her.
Thank you Devith. Hekate replied her their connection warming with affection as Devith arched his neck gently nuzzling his rider's hair before leaving her to Z'fer for the moment. Hekate have his grip a gentle squeeze giving Z'fer a small tired smile.
"Yes yes it was. . .sorry about ramming you in the stomach. Just we were getting. . .distracted." She murmured leaning tiredly into his side her eyes half closed as she enjoyed just being next to him as she nuzzled her head against his arm. Yes they'd both been getting distracted and she was. . .liking it way too much.

Z'fer sunk down beside her, getting comfortable as Devith shifted. He hadn't realized how much their activities had taken out of her. "It's alright. We can try again later." He smiled into her hair, not specifying what exactly he meant to try later on.
There were benefits to rising dragons and not all of them were reserved for the participating riders. He wasn't sure if either of the gold's were ready yet but he'd seen a familiar crimson that was definitely near her time. It was making his time spent with Hekate both more difficult and much more desirable than normal.
Z'fer hadn't exactly expected their sparring match to turn in that direction, but he wasn't about to complain. He could still feel a dull throbbing along his neck where he was sure she'd left a string of little red marks. She may have marked him, but he had returned the favor. Seeing the red flush of her skin made that little growly beast within his chest purr with pride. See what she thought of those silly young riders now.
Calanoth was thrumming quietly from the other side of Devith. The silver may disapprove but Calanoth saw nothing wrong with the match. It was good enough to see His so happy. He didn't need to feel jealous that Z'fer was curled up against another dragon.

Devith seemed content for the moment to ignore Z'fer and nap in the pleasant warmth of the sun with the light breeze lulling into a nice warm sleepy daze. Hekate in turn seemed to have calmed down leaning into his side and just content to snuggle against him.
"Sorry I guess I'm still a bit tired from my last shift. Been running a bit too hard lately. However I don't think I'd mind trying again." She admitted using her best poker face to keep the light blush from her cheeks. While she meant sparring Hekate had a feeling Z'fer's was a bit more mercurial in it's interpretation.
"However I don't think it was a bad first try. I need to get used to fighting bigger and stronger opponents." Hekate explained with a shrug sitting up slightly to press a kiss to Z'fer's cheek. "Thank you for being willing to help me."

"You should take a couple days to recuperate. Overworking yourself and burning out will do no one good." He tucked his arm around under her back and pulled her tight against him. He wasn't sure if she had meant the same innuendo that he had, or if she'd even caught it, but Z'fer liked to believe she did.
"Well I'd rather you spar with me than anyone else."He growled thinking of Carltis. Z'fer still hadn't forgiven the kid which was not surprising. He was a snarky underhanded whers a** and if Z'fer could have he would have knocked him one for the passive aggressive act he'd pulled at Wykla's lesson.
