Cup of chilled tea in hand, Christa walked to stand behind Zia. She regarded the older woman with a tinge of fear, suspicion and downright shock. "What's this about being catapulted into battles?" she asked, voice raising a touch higher than she'd originally intended. "Valhalla thinks your starseed is tuned to something else? What makes him think that?" To the gray haired teen, anything other than love could be broken down into less complex parts. Love made no sense to her. She felt she was too logical for that sort of thing. "...this guy?" she hazarded. Christa didn't want to push but curiosity was certainly there. "Well... isn't that a good thing, Zia?"

"He had a memory and he ~swears~ that it's totally me," Zia said with a snort and a shrug. "I dunno, it's practice getting into shape, I guess." She gladly took a glass of tea, though. She had been doing other things to get back in shape after absolutely destroying all the athleticism she'd gained by catting about for the BMC by hiding away eating cookies and feeling sorry for herself, including run here.
The guy thing was another shrug because she had no idea what the ******** she was even doing attempting to bring this topic up. She chalked it up to too much TV giving her inordinate expectations to how illuminating cliche 'girl talk' could be. "I dunno, it's kind of whatever," She said, back pedaling hard away from it.

Christa found it odd that Zia would be a knight in addition to being the house of Zirconia, a parallel cat's soul, but weirder things had happened. Perhaps Zia's starseed was completely independent of Zirconia's and could take on magical properties of its own. But would that interfere with Zirconia's starseed? Ugh. Who knew. But if Valhalla was having this vision, clearly the two of them are connected. "Well... I have to say I'm a little shocked but as long as you get some kind of benefit from it." Valhalla knows what he's doing, I'm sure. Plus he's a knight - how much more power can you pack into a starseed, really? Zia was a grown girl though - she'd been through more than Christa could ever know. She could take care of herself and Valhalla could take care of the rest. "And you can say no at any time." Pretty much. The boy thing seemed like a sore spot. She shrugged. "Then it's whatever, I suppose."

"He thinks it's going to cure my little cat disease," Zia said, smirking down into a glass. Zia had her own opinions on that and they might've been entirely contradictory, but the consistent thing between Vahalla, her family, and even Ares was they all thought she needed to be 'fixed'. And she hated it.
She just shrugged and went to refill her glass. "Whatever whatever whatever," She muttered. She didn't want to get into why she wasn't tellin Valhalla no a little harder. She didn't want to be cured, but she also didn't want to hope she could. Mixed feelings were mixed and complicated.
The alternative was being a floating, weak human stuck in all these epic destinies meant for greatness. And all the options were too weak to salve the rage she felt against the Dark Mirror forces.
"Like I said, I don't know what the ******** to do any more other than just d**k around and hope people I hate get killed already."

"Cat disease? It's not like you asked for this." Christa blinked. "Unless you did, but somehow I doubt you were writing to some celestial Santa Claus saying, Gee, what I'd really like for Christmas is a transplanted soul from a parallel dimension. Oh, and make it feline." She tilted her head. "It's not an illness unless you think being a senshi is an illness, in which case I'm terminal." Like I said, I don't know what the ******** to do any more other than just d**k around and hope people I hate get killed already."What do you mean, you don't know what to do anymore?" Didn't you have a life before it was invaded? Could you go back to that if Zirconia is asleep? Go back to not having to go through hell on earth? ...on second thought. Christa sighed at herself. "...never mind. I couldn't go back to being normal if I had the option. I don't think I'd want to..."

"Valhalla thinks Zirconia needs to be killed or cured, I have... mixed opinions," What DIDN'T she have mixed opinions on? But either way, that was her explanation for now.
She pursed her lips a bit. "Yeah, it'd be a little hard to pretend to be ignorant at this point. Plus, Zirconia left a huge ******** trail of damage. My family thinks I'm on drugs, my school plans are massively derailed, I have like... these huge chunks of my childhood I just up and forget sometimes because my head is swimming with stupid bullshit like space cauldrons and souls and space kingdom politics. I don't think i could go back if I tried."

Christa didn't know what to say to all that. She had nothing to compare it to in her own life. "Do you wish you could undo all of it, Zia? Make a wish and poof, Zirconia and all that never happened to you?" She regarded the lavender young woman oddly. "I know she's left a lot of wreckage in her wake - more than I could ever imagine." She walked up to Zia and placed a hand lightly on the girl's shoulder. "...but if Zirconia never happened, you wouldn't have met us. You wouldn't know us. And we wouldn't know you." A pause. She stepped back for a moment. "The damage is extensive but... we never would have met otherwise."

Zia rolled her eyes and shrugged. She could talk about destruction as casually as if she was criticizing a bad movie she just. "Not really? Maybe? Like maybe it all would've been okay if Nehelenia hadn't decided dying was the only way to end the comas or if Ares died instead of Aphrodite, or if--.. No, definitely if Chibimoon had just not been such a ******** maniac and not started this whole thing. Then--"
She stopped herself. She already promised herself Valhalla's crazy a** theories weren't going to get her hopes up.
"There's no going back," She ended up saying, guzzling another refill. "No where to go but up, amiright?"

The teen nodded slowly. "Yes, that's a good way of looking at it. Nowhere to go but up. Sometimes it's hard to keep focused on what's head of us when what's behind us is so..." Her lips curled like the word tasted positively foul. "...shitty." Just then. the sound of car doors and keys jingling could be heard. While she didn't mind if Zia stayed, that was all up to Zia. Looking back to her, Christa awaited her decision. "Don't know if you'd like to get hit on by a horny fifteen year old boy, Zia." she said with a chuckle.

"Oh your boyfriend?" Zia teased, although she did look over her shoulder at the sound of car keys. She figured it probably wasn't a great idea to impose any further.
"I should keep jogging anyway," She said, taking off. "Thanks for the drink. See you on patrol, baby!" She called out, one hand up in a half assed wave behind her.
