I'm just not content with my flute being dirty inside OR outside. So I'm usually found at home after practicing it wiping away...

I try to clean my flute as much as possible. I haven't cleaned it in freaking ages, other than last night, because my cleaning rod was here at home and my flute has been staying at school a lot. But now the rod is back in the case and I can clean my flute.
I need to rename my flute.

Well I don't clean my flute everyday only if I have long sleeves of a Jacket on is when I clean the outside. It makes me mad that there is fingerprints all on the outside of it. I only clean the inside of my flute after I play. I am hoping to get an intermediat flute for my birthday. Its really all I asked for..I take that back I asked for a piccilo as well.!! I love Flutes, playing and Band in general. I guess we clean our insturments because we can see the finger prints and that just bothers me. I don't know about anyone else though.

I obsessively polish my shiny silver Yamaha trumpet, because it's relatively new and also a pretty darn good instrument. My student-model Bach, on the other hand... rofl Eight years without a polishing cloth and counting...
BTW, this topic is being moved to the Woodwind/Brass forum, where I think it rightly belongs.

Uh, I'm obsessive about cleaning my flute. And making sure the keys aren't sticky, AND cleaning the inside, AND putting key oil where I'm supposed to.
Though it's six years old, I'm getting a new one once school ends. =D An open holed one, yay me.

Now way I'm a hard-core flute player rofl and I don't clean my flute at school, and no one else does in y section. I clean when I'm at home and if it has lots of finger prints. Call me a slacker xp

Hahaha. Well, we like our flutes to be shiny and clean. Me, however, I couldn't care less about my flute. I polish it every now and then before a concert, but that's it.
I do clean the pads weekly, though.

My flute wasn't even shiny when I got it, so I can't really see the use in cleaning it 24/7. I don't let it get grimy or nasty, though.
