"And so because they are a hunter, you wish to destroy them in case they come after your friends?"

"Exactly..." A hint of guilt was lingering on her voice. "It's not like they haven't already..." Amrita, Israfel, that idiot Zar.

Red's voice steeled. "And if I were to prescribe to your logic, then every undead is therefore aligned to strike me and mine out and away from our home territory. You, therefore, are now an enemy and must be made redead before you attempt to move against me and mine own."
"And to further that," she added before Sammy could break in, "Because I attacked you and your friends before I am now a threat. To protect them against me, you failed to destroy me not once but twice. Will this, then, be a precursor to the third attempt? And will you finish the job this time to make sure that I do not come back and bring harm upon you and yours again?"

Sammy shrank in the chair, she didn't speak as the assault of words pressed down against her. All of it was accurate, all of it was true. her eyes continued to dim and she stared down at the chipped paint zeroing in on the small piece of the world as Red spoke.
"I never wanted you dead... we didn't know, we where scared. I just..." she curled down lower against the chair like a child being scolded by the a parent.

"So you blindly attack what you don't understand?" Red pointed out. "You asked why there were Hunters here when I was a student. By your logic I should have hunted them down immediately. If I did that, I would not be here." Her voice dropped, "Perhaps I would have died, become nothing more than a voice. Or maybe I would become a weapon. What of them? Those that were taken and turned to use against us? Were they willing? Unwilling? Do they deserve death too just for what they are and what they have become?"
"Your logic is fitting along with a mindless undead. Just because a fire bites you snuff it out -- I thought you had your own mind. I see that I was heavily mistaken. You follow orders and do not bother to think beyond them. What a pity."

"I asked because all we saw was a repeat of what happened to us happen to you. Why? Why are they here at this school." She grew quiet again as Red listed the possible outcomes of chasing the hunters in the past. "I don't know, I can't even ask them because they're weapons. The only hunters I've spoken too ended up being a psychopath, and a wall of ice that told me nothing. All I know is they attack, they take us, and people are left hurt and confused in the aftermath."
The next part was like a blow to the shoulder and Sammy stared at Red for a long moment before speaking quietly, "No one gave an order. You weren't there to give one. I attacked because I was scared, I was angry and I still am..."

The air grew heavier, darker as Red leaned forward and began to whisper. "Hunters! Halloween! Listen! We have to work together or she'll kill us all! Hunters go for her right leg, Halloween to the left. Bring her down so we can fight her at our level. We bring her down here; or we all die in flames. Now get to work."

The words where a haunting echo. Without thinking she grabbed her left arm squeezing the blackened and chipped bone eyes clenched shut as purple flames flickered behind them.
She remembered Shehk telling her to stop, the confusion the chaos.
Most of all she remembered the guilt as she leaned her head against the chair before whispering over and over, "Red I'm sorry... I'm sorry..."

"You took one look at me and decided that I was fit to die." Red growled, "You take one look at a Hunter and decide they need to die. Your response with a threat is to kill it. It is any wonder that you have not struck against me yet. I attacked you once. I have killed your classmates, two of them twice. What is to stop me from doing it again? It is a wonder why you have not stopped me yet."
Red made to rise, shifting her seated position into a crouch. "It would be wise for you to leave. Now. We are finished."

She didn't speak, she had no way to defend herself, no right to defend herself. She continued to sit there unaware of the shift in the wolfs posture till she looked up again. It was feral, it was dangerous. Two sides of her screamed at each other, to run, to fight. She was right she killed there own, she had worked with the hunters.
She was the one who saved you, one of the ones who gave you a chance at a normal life. She started to move standing up from the chair and the awkward position she had been sitting falling back knocking the chair over as she banged against another bed behind her.
"I'm sorry Red, I'm sorry I don't know what I'm supposed to do!" Panic and pain filled her voice as she moved to pull herself up on the bed behind her. Purple eyes flickering frantically about the room before focusing on Red again.

The glow in Red's eyes seemed to grow brighter as the area beneath the bedfort grew darker. Her hands were already begin to grow larger, shifting and changing from humanoid to beastial. A low, beastial voice answered Sammy's question: "Run."

Everything was shifting, colors where going dark, glows where getting brighter. She watched as the hand shifted slowly and started to scramble up the bed her back was pressed against. With her feet below her she gave one last look at Red, panic filled and worried before turning to bolt out the door scrambling into the nearest classroom.
Once inside she found a wall, pressed against it and crumpled to the ground shaking with dry heaving sobs.
Maybe she was just as bad as the Hunters she claimed to fight against.
