Rusty had rested his elbows on the table, his chin in his hands. His eyes were closed and he was focused on his nose and his ears. But then her scent was fading and finally disappeared. Once he knew she was gone, he opened his eyes. They were gleaming amber. It was getting close to the full moon. Which meant he'd be getting stronger within the next week or so. He was thankful for this because of his altercation with the vampire girl, but he also knew it meant he'd transform and hunt for a few days. He wondered if he'd transform when she came to punish him for not leaving. He chuckled to himself at the thought. Then his stomach let out a loud gurgle and a growl, reminding him that he needed food. The wolf sighed and went to the fridge.
The contents were mostly meat products. And a lot of carrots and pasta. A few other vegetables. He pulled out a steak and a few carrots. He scrunched his nose when he sniffed the raw meat. It wasn't time yet to eat it raw. He started cooking it, munching on carrots. After he finished eating he cleaned off the dishes and stretched. He walked back to his room, changed into shorts, and came out to a small side room off the main den. It had his workout equipment. He flipped on his stereo and got on the treadmill. He mentally calculated how long he'd be able to run and started off at a jog. As he ran, his mind kept going over the vampire and her demands.

Kira was just getting more stressed as she walked. The cold air was doing nothing for her nerves now. Sure she could distract herself for a moment, but her mind always drifted back to the wolf man. Say he didn't leave and she killed him. There would definitely be an investigation if he just went missing. She wasn't sure if they would be able to learn he was a werewolf from his corps, but it would take all her strength to off him and it would be an impressive killing. The case was likely to be open for a while. Perhaps a bigger force brought it. Hunting would be more difficult. No food and warmth would be the death of her. Killing him could possibly lead to her own death. Assuming all of that happened. If she managed to hide the body well enough it wouldn't be a problem though...However, there would be a huge mess wherever they end up battling. Both of them were likely to be injured a good deal. Her DNA was far from human now...Kira shivered and looked at the ground, beginning to feel sick. She needed food.
Not far off a girl, probably around twenty was pacing to herself much like Kira had been. Easy enough target. Kira was at the girl's side in seconds and was feeding before the girl even noticed she wasn't alone. This one she would drink dry. She was too stressed out to stop. When she was finished feeding, Kira gently licked the fang marks. They slowly began to heal, leaving super small scars that would more than likely go unnoticed. It would be a mystery as to how she was drained dry, especially since there was nothing else wrong with the girl. Kira would let them have that. Why not? There was nothing connecting her to the girl, the place, or the death. She quickly cleaned her lips before shoving her hands into her pockets and walking back toward her home.

After a couple of hours passed, Rusty stopped. He'd worked up a pretty good sweat and he was sleepy. Which was good. He had to be up the next day to take care of some things. He immediately took a shower, then collapsed on the bed.
It was around 10:30 AM when he woke up. He blinked and rubbed his eyes, the sun shining brightly through the window. He got up, made breakfast, which consisted of cereal, milk, and a banana, then put on some jeans and a t-shirt. He was about to walk outside when he looked down and realized he wasn't wearing socks or shoes. He groaned and went back to put some on. He'd been living in a place where he could walk around without much more than some shorts without getting so much as a glance. Once fully dressed, he left and started walking down the street toward town. As he walked, he had to stop. He was in front of the vampire's house. It was thick with her scent. He huffed and rolled his shoulders. No wonder she's got such a problem.. He continued, making a mental note of how far away she was from him.
Once in town he was basically running errands. He needed new stuff, like toothpaste and towels and knives. Some of his had been lost in the moving process. He paid, wincing slightly at the total. By the time he'd made it back to his house, it was close to 5 PM. After putting away everything, he settled into a chair in the living room and flipped on the TV. He was content with doing that for the rest of the night.

Sorry, one quick question before I do my post. Dose want them to be running into eachother and being forced in interact in public over the three days, or should we just skip to the end of the three days and have Kira confront Rusty?

ChemNerd11 Sorry, one quick question before I do my post. Dose want them to be running into eachother and being forced in interact in public over the three days, or should we just skip to the end of the three days and have Kira confront Rusty? I was wondering that too. I think maybe they should have to interact like once or twice. Maybe a block party that the other neighbors have for him?

Kira stayed up all night working and ended up going to bed around seven am. She woke at 3pm and had a small snack from a nice man who happened to be walking behind her house, then went for her run. around 5:30 she was showered and sitting down at her computer to check her email when her doorbell rang. Of course. People always had to come bother her when she was having a great day. The wolf man hadn't been around any time she was out. Perhaps he got the hint and left.
When she opened the door, Kira was bombarded by three of her neighbors. All women and all bouncing excitedly. Apparently they were having a welcome barbeque for the new neighbor. Oh joy. Apparently the beast hadn't left yet. The women said she needed to be there and that they would refuse to leave until she agreed. Kira shook her head and closed the door, figuring they were full of it. She couldn't have been more wrong.
After ten minutes of her doorbell going non-stop, Kira slipped on some shoes, let her hair down, grabbed her keys and walked out of the house. I'll just be there for ten minutes. Kira told herself as she walked to the backyard in which the get together was being held. The women hurried off to go grab their guest of honor while Kira grabbed a beer. If only I could actually get drunk. She thought with a soft sigh.

Rusty had been stretched out comfortably and settled into watching some strange cartoon. He'd been munching on some pasta, though he wasn't nearly full. A sudden barrage of knocks and bells made him jump. He got up, letting out a quiet sigh. When he opened the door, three women started babbling and giggling excitedly. They were throwing a party for him. The mention of barbeque brought out a loud grumble from his stomach.
He agreed to go, how could he not? After locking his door, he followed the chirping women to a backyard. Immediately, he was met with the vampire's scent. He forced himself to get over it and grabbed a beer. He knew he wouldn't get drunk. His metabolism burned through the alcohol too quickly. But he had to fit in, right? He spotted the vampire and made a point to avoid her at first. He spoke with his other neighbors, turning on his charm to get their favor. Women blushed and giggled like school girls and men gave nods of approval. One particularly busty woman came up and asked if he'd met Kira. He had no idea who she meant.
Unfortunately, while the woman was pulling him along, she described Kira. Friendly, but usually keeps to herself. Don't see her much during the day. As they got closer, the scent got stronger. Rusty sighed mentally when the woman approached the vampire girl. Suddenly he was thrust toward her, catching himself before he had to touch her. "This is Kira. She lives just a few houses down from you." Rusty smirked slightly. I know that.. With a smile and a small shift in her step, the lady stared at them, waiting for them to make friends. "It's nice to meet you. I'm Rusty. Most people call me Rex. I answer to both." He offered a fake smile, but didn't dare reach out to her.

Kira knew the second the wolf arrived. She could smell him each step he took closer to the house. She kept her backed turned to him the whole time he was walking around. As he began to come closer, Kira started to walk off, stopping when she heard her name. Damn it. She thought, adding a few other profanities in her mind. Slowly the girl turned around only to come extremely close to running into the man she despised mere than anything. After a short second of shock and fear, her face turned bored but her eyes sharp. It took everything she had not to crinkle her nose at the sent radiating from the man before her. "Hello." She said simply. There was no need for her to introduce herself since the woman had already done it for her, and she wasn't about to lie and say it was nice to meet him. Lying was wrong.
Kira figured they were done now, but the woman just kept looking between the two. It was almost as if she couldn't figure out why Kira wasn't drooling over him like every other female was. With a inward sigh, she looked back over at the wolfman who called himself Rusty. "What brought you to our quaint little town?" She asked in a bored tone, trying to keep the resentment from being heard, though she figured he probably knew it was there.

Rusty could feel the hair on the back of his neck rising. He took a breath. "Well, I needed to leave my last place, and I got a good deal on the house. So.. Here I am." He looked at the other woman. For a moment, his eyes changed, flickering from brown to an orange-amber color. Kira would be the only one who noticed, since she wasn't human. The other woman giggled and walked away. He kept his eyes on her for a few seconds, then turned his gaze to Kira. "I didn't plan this. They surprised me with it too." He blinked and his eyes returned to normal. He knew that her hatred for him was just piling up and growing by the minute.

Kira nodded at Rusty's words, taking a swig of her beer so she had an excuse not to speak just yet. When the woman walked away, Kira just nodded again. "Telling them no is an impossible action. Trust me, I've tried." Kira took another drink as she studied the man's eyes, trying to determine if she had only been seeing things when she thought they changed color. Though Kira had kind of dealt with werewolves before, she didn't know all that much about them and what they could do. Well, except kill her in a heart beat and stink up a whole neighborhood. "What did you just do?" She asked, narrowing her eyes out of suspicion. She doubted his eyes would just change like that randomly...or perhaps they did. Though she'd never admit it, it was a rather interesting trait. She didn't really want to keep talking to Rusty, but she had to know that before she walked away. It might be good to know if she ever ran into another of his kind.

Rusty offered a cocky smile. "I just... suggested that she check on some of the other neighbors here." He glanced over to the woman, who was fervently walking about and laughing with the others. He looked at Kira. He could see the confusion in her eyes about what he'd done. "My family isn't exactly average. There are a few traits that are only in my bloodline. So don't worry, you're not likely to meet another wolf who can do what I can." He shrugged and drank the last of the beer in the bottle. "You don't know too much about us, do you?" He looked at her. He had no room to talk. He wasn't exactly familiar with vampires and their abilities.

Kira rolled her eyes at Rusty, watching the woman for a bit. She seemed so normal but was really under spell of a monster. The thought did not comfort Kira one bit. She had a few tricks up her sleeves like Rusty's, but she refused to ever use them. She felt it wasn't fair to the humans. It made Kira feel better to know that there was a small number of wolves who could do it, but she didn't like that fact that the wolf she was stuck with was one of them. Why was she still even talking to him? Kira's eyes drifted back to Rusty, narrowing at his question. Did he want to know so he could keep other tricks hidden? Was he stronger than most? Should she be afraid? Even though she was beginning to freak out on the inside, Kira managed to appear normal on the outside. "All you need to know about me is that I don't like you and your kind. You shouldn't get on my bad side, you wouldn't like it." Kira threw her beer bottle into a nearby trashcan before walking away from Rusty to get another. She didn't know if he'd continue the conversation or not- she couldn't really stop him from talking to her in public and running home wasn't an option because the women would come after her again- but even a short break from his presence would make her feel a little better. Kira took a deep breath and closed her eyes before slowly releasing it. Though Rusty had nothing else going for him, she had to admit he was the most physically appealing beast she'd seen. She quickly shook her head to clear the thought from her mind before opening her eyes again.

Rusty shook his head, chuckling. He tossed his empty bottle in the trash and followed her. As he grabbed another beer, he whispered to her. "She's not under a spell or anything. I'm not cruel. I don't use my abilities like that on humans. If you'd like, I can tell them you were feeling sick. Then you can go home." He winked and started turning away, popping the beer cap off with his teeth. "And for the record, you don't want to get on my bad side either." He took a swig and walked away. He moved to a table with a few chairs around it. He sat in a chair, but wasn't able to sit long.
They'd started playing music and now he was being dragged to the improvised dance floor. He obliged, laughing and switching from woman to woman throughout the songs. He was enjoying himself and all the attention. He glanced at Kira to see if she had decided to leave or not.

Kira fought back a shiver as Rusty approached. She refused to let him have any kind of impact on her at all. She kept her face blank as she took a drink of her beer. She wouldn't leave and let him win, but she sure as hell would avoid him at all costs. She felt a twinge of anger with a slight pinch of fear when he said not to get on his bad side, and ended up gripping the bottle so tight it shattered. Quickly she dropped it so it would seem like she dropped it and it shattered upon hitting the ground. No one would notice....no one human anyway.
As the gathering went on, Kira stayed toward the back of the group, as far from Rusty as she could get without seeming too awkward and stand-offish. She worked hard to make small talk and chit chat with the couple before her, but inside all of the interaction was killing her. Getting to know her neighbors would make feeding from them that much harder. The girl sighed inwardly, brushing a piece of her hair back. If she could have died inside she would have. No one would pay enough attention to notice her sad eyes. No one knew her well enough to know that wasn't how she normally looked. Kira preferred it that way.
