Mephistopheles vanished, dodging the burst entirely. He reappeared directly behind the meowth, a lance of darkness in his hand. "Allow me to show you darkness." He jabbed it into the meowth's back.

Kemnebi's pupils went to slits for milisecond as his eyes widen. For a moment the whole world was nothing but white pain before he crumpled to the ground into blissful darkness.

Mephistopheles pulled the lance of darkness out of the meowth, allowing the energy to disperse. He stared coldly at its limp body for a moment before turning to float back to Lenore. Grabbing hold of her hand, he lead her back.
