Madison sniffled and accepted the tissue, blowing her nose and wiping at her eyes before giving Leon a sheepish look. "Yeah... not like I have a choice," she said quietly. Her hand wrapped around his for a moment, and then she sighed and slipped forward off the chair. She hesitated for a moment, his hand still in hers. "I, um. Thanks for... for... fighting alongside me. And everything." She took a deep breath, slightly shaky, then leaned forward and planted a kiss on his forehead.

It wasn't as if Leon was expecting it, far from it. The life hunters eyes popped open wide at the affectionate gesture. Until he mentally connected it with a kiss one would give their grandmother when there to visit and partake in their offering of a home cooked meal. While his face deflated, he still kept the impish grin on his face. It was probably the first time he was kissed since leaving the old life behind. The one time with Marcus and his bandaid romance, it didn't count. He was a piece of marble furniture now. "its nothing." the brunette stammered out and shrugged his shoulders. as non-nonchalantly as he could. "We're teammates and have to look out for one another." the boxer continued. "We need each other more than ever in these hard times, right?"Leon felt like it was something Nid would say in a moment like this.

"Yeah..." Madison was faintly pink, and there was a little twist of uncertainty in the bottom of her stomach. But god, she was lonely, in a way she hadn't been in years. "You, um..." Aw, hell. "You wanna... um..." She sat down on the bed next to him and leaned against him. Now she was really pink, but she lifted her chin and looked right at him, her eyes bright. She'd propositioned dozens of guys, but nobody here. Not since Jordan, anyway, and that hadn't been a proposition anyway. "Just for the hell of it. Looking out for each other, right?"

Sosiqui LOOK I DIDNT FORGET FOR LONG LOL Whatever madison was trying to get at, leon had no clue. "you um?" he said blankly, being rather thick had its problems. It still didn't really dawn on him what the female huntress meant. but who was he to act stupid. "Right, looking out for each other."Nid was grumbling in his head about stupid human boils. Leon paid no mind to it.

Madison blushed hotly, taking a step back. "I, uh. Meant." Geez, way to make it awkward! That had always worked on football players... maybe boxers didn't work the same way. "I'm lonely. You're lonely. I could use a hug. Maybe more than a-" She shook her head. "Do you want to make out, Leon. Is what I'm saying."

Being sly and coy about it didn't work with boxers, too thickheaded and prone to head injuries. Leon was grateful for the more direct statement. the green eyes snapped into focus with the realization of what was asked and formed a silent O its intention. "AH, sure why the heck not." he replied back, grinning at the flushed Madison. He had to admit that the girl looked adorable when flustered. There was no need for this friendly distance between them, not after the Inquiry from the sword master when he moved to sit on the edge of the bed and go shoulder to shoulder with her. "You sure about this? You don't think that your sword might try and hold a grudge against me?" he felt the need to ask, it felt only right to give her a chance to change her mind. Even though what was in his boxers was too busy calling himself a cockblock for it.

"My... no," she said, quietly, snapped out of awkwardness and into uncomfortable reality with his words. "He doesn't care. I mean he does. But..." Carefully, she took the still bandaged tablet from her pocket and put it carefully to one side, on the chair she'd vacated. "I can make my own choices. And he's not here. So." She turned quickly, swallowing before tears could rise again, and kissed Leon soundly.

Leon choose not to inquire further. staying silent once Madison had made up her mind. He felt no need to move Nidhogg from his place on the bedside. The moment where Madison flew to meet his lips left him stunned, arms slowly finding their way around the smaller body and the bed spread covers soon concealed the two from the potential cameras in the room. He wouldn't put anything past the life division. Nor past Clarice. Anything.
